More about the hospital visit in J&C.
(((HUGS))) for Mr. Dee... and so glad to hear good news from Mr. Harmony!
(((Harmony))) -- I know what you mean about the skin problems and how stress makes it worse.
I've got our laundry caught up. I'll have to have one of those *i*r*o*n*i*n*g* marathons in the next day or two.
We have to vote tomorrow.
OH -- were any of your state offices closed today for Jefferson Davis' birthday? I was afraid the courthouse here would be closed and I wouldn't be able to get tags, but it was open. However, the Circuit Clerk's office was closed. I told y'all we're in the Heart of Dixie.
I looked at the Pomodoro link. I don't like to listen to a timer ticking. I had one of those wind-up timers once at school but I never used it. It just really got on my nerves and made me feel RUSHED to hear it ticking. I do like to use the digital timer or the timer on my phone though, and when I can remember to do that, I do think I get more accomplished. I never really do a "round" like y'all are talking about, but it is a HUGE step for me to commit to 15 minutes of ~ whatever ~ and use that to motivate me to at least get started. Almost always, I will do more than 15 minutes once I get started. And the timer proves to me that most task don't take as long as I think they will. My digital timer does have a clip so I can fasten it to my shirt or something, but sometimes I bump it and re-set it accidentally if I have it attached to me. Timer on my phone works better, and I usually have it in my pocket anyway.
Ivy -- we don't think the snake was poisonous. I took a picture of it, and cousins agree it is (was!) most likely a chicken snake. I don't care -- we DO have lots of poisonous snakes in this part of the country and I'm not taking a chance on misidentifying one, LOL! If they show their faces to me, I'm going to be screaming for dh to come running w/the hoe!
Interesting... dh's cousin was visiting his dmom today, and she said her husband had killed a snake this afternoon, too.
DH keeps saying, "WHO was it that kept complaining about winter???" I have decided (today) that winter is not so bad after all.
