Oooooh, I am just beyond frustrated at this printer and at myself. It's completely out of cyan and yellow ink now and won't print until the cartridges are replaced. And I bought the wrong kind of cartridges last time so I don't have the replacement. I'm trying to work on these forms for dsis's house and I think I probably just need to give up and pay a stinkin' attorney to do it.

Anyway, I'm giving up for right now and going to read and relax a bit.

Great to see Norma checking in with Mr. Guy's surgery plans.

LOL, Lucylee!
Sometimes I see who's online, like right now, "lucylee and 1 guest." I bet those guests think, "Why does that lucylee bother w/a housekeeping board? She never does any housekeeping..."
I'd say I'm teeming with nothin' today also....

Lots of generations going on there, OKay. I hope Mr. Okay is making progress on the MPB repairs.

Nancy, today was also trash day here.

Cowinkie, very cool to find "long lost family." I'm wishing I could get back to genealogy. I thought I'd have lots of time when I wasn't working.....I don't know where it's all gone.

Ivy, it's nice to be able to take a day off when you need to. Reading and crochet sound like a good plan.

Helia, here's hoping your bag turns up soon. What a frustrating day trying to get home! (And then to face clean up this morning! )

Harmony IKWYM about taking a break from the church volunteering. I can barely face showing up at temple right now because I feel so burned out.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Sunny and warm here.

Worked for 90 minutes on my exercises for PT. Wish this was calorie burning but it is mostly stretches so I don't think so. worked on stretching my shoulder blades out, makes my arm feel longer. Then pulley time, work with the walking cane and up the wall with a towel.

Cleaned the kitchen and the bathrooms. Bathrooms hadn't been done in a while so it took some time. Listened to 3 Dave Ramsey Podcasts so that is 2 hours. Tomorrow I want to do the floors, sweep and mop vinyl floors, ---maybe vacuum the carpeted ones.

DH called to say the lights were out at WM and the bank we use inside. Was a bit upset with him as I had a deposit for him to make today and he drove by the bank several times, just didn't want to stop. Now I'm fretting that I'll be overdrawn with things that come out automatically. Asked him to go to the next town over to that branch. Hopefully he did.

Okay, I read Sycamore Row a while ago. Love John Grisham books. Think he is my favorite author. Usually reward myself by getting them when they are first published.
Reading a Janet Oke book now.

going to rest a while now. Maybe do some reading.

Great day to all!

Well, this day keeps getting worse. Apparently, dd18 hit a friend's car in our driveway and did some (a little) damage to the back of the car. SO, now I need to call the insurance company and figure out what we need to do. Also, dh and I are thinking maybe GG should go see a Dr. Since she doesn't have one here, we have to go to urgent care and just wait, I think - no appointment. She hasn't been to school since the week before last. And the band director now wants some women to help with measurements for the new band uniforms on Friday, from hours 2 - 6. Fortunately, 2 other moms have already volunteered for part of the time. I think I'm just going to have to say "no." That makes me feel so guilty. I know - I have a complex. But, I am still not getting to party prep - and it is only 4 days from today. And on Friday, I will be tutoring, dropping off the dogs in the neighboring village, prepping a room for dfriend E who arrives that afternoon as well as trying to get to party prep.

I'm cooking up the chicken for fajitas. We can eat outside, so that is a happy thing. And dh called me. He is doing an impressive job helping and trying to keep my spirits up.

Twins' Mom , I ended up reading my new issue of "Country Living," and watching Dr. Oz while sipping International Coffee. I'm going lol, too.

Harriet & Nancy , I wanted to let you know in the June issue of "Country Living," there is a section in the magazine where readers as the vet questions. 1 question this month was about raising chickens, they wanted to know if certain breeds did better in hotter weather, etc... I don't recall any specific breeds listed, but it did state how using kitty little, after shoveling out the bottom of the coup and putting new straw in, helped the chickens do better in the summer. The coup can produce eggs (the chickens INSIDE the coup- that is), in temps up to 75*. I forgot the lowest degrees number. But if you get "Country Living," or find it on the magazine rack in a store, it might be a good idea for you to read. Of course, I have "no clue" how many years you've been raising chickens, nor if you know all these things already. :?: But I found the part about kitty little and fresh straw interesting. It sorta reminded me of the days when, in high school, I had a horse, colt and bunny rabbit. I had white lab rats, too, for a project at school. I know how "stinky" little animals can get if their cages, etc.. aren't clean. The reader was especially concerned about the "stink" in hotter weather. Where I was raised, on a prairie, there were chicken ranches from a business, so they stunk a LOT in the summer months, but it wasn't a single back yard little coup. It was huge building after building of chicken houses, on the professional level.

I need to run and dry lol and start another load. Am trying to slowly get ready for tomorrow. DH gets wood with his dfriend, I'll be at home keeping things going, and trash will be dumped by "me" since Thursday's garbage day at the curb. I feel so lazy today.

Twin's, the printer problem sounds so aggravating. :!:

Helia, Did your bag turn up yet? :?: Hope so!

Norma, We're going to be thinking of you and Mr. Guy as his surgery date nears, too. And the day of surgery, too.

I read something today. It said, "Don't even stop to ask yourself the question 'do I have room for this'?" It was an article on collecting things. I got the impression that clutter wasn't clutter; it's a collection. :?:

Ha! I'm with Lucylee, guests are probably saying "why is she here, all she does is paperwork". The state of my house is atrocious. Kitchen and dining room and laundry and my desk all piled up.

Ivy, I'm sorry after all your volunteering at church nobody seemed to notice when you and your DH quit. One reason I've stuck in so long is that I never had close friends until I joined this committee...and I do have some close people I call friends now...but I've seen those that drop off the committee kinda drift away and we lose touch...and I'm concerned about that. Twins, I'm wondering if my burn-out is contributing to the difficulty I feel in just attending church these days. Have you stepped down yet? I thought you did.

Oh, helia, you've had a rough couple of days with GG still sick and now the car thing. You need a do-over.

Cowinkie, milk cartons are great for file holders. I tried to use 2 of them but they are letter size and my files are legal. So I did set it up in the box, however the lid doesn't fit on top if one uses hanging folder tabs that stick up. Would it have killed them to make these boxes 1" taller?

Sadie, I am a big Janette Oke fan. I just love her writing. What are you reading now? I've been watching the movies they made of one of her series on Pix el. I'm not in the habit of owning a lot of movie dvd's but I'd sure like to have these.

I'm still at it. Did another batch of paperwork, got everything ready for a couple phone calls tomorrow morning. Today's errands out are done, 4 stops. I picked up a gift for DGSon but it will be late getting there as his BDay is tomorrow, but at least it'll be in the mail. Oh well, I'm doing the best I can.

Need to wash dishes, sort laundry, wrap that package. Better get to it.

No bag yet. :?

Thanks for the sympathy, you all. This has not been a great day, as you can tell, and I'm fairly irritable. Maybe God is trying to tell me something?? LOL! The weather has been gorgeous, I can't deny that no matter how grumpy I feel!

I did call in dd18's script and will go pick that up soon. I've also put all lawn clippings and garbage and recycling at the curb. I've looked at the urgent care clinic near us in case I take GG there tomorrow. If she doesn't go to school tomorrow, I'm going to take her in. I don't think I need to be here while the window washers are here.

I did get dd16 (I think I've been writing dd15. .. ) to her oboe lesson. Made dinner - chicken fajitas and watermelon. It has not been completely cleaned up, though.

Before bed:
- pick up dd18's script
- clean up kitchen
- fold sheets that never got folded from last week
- do 1 lol
- tidy MBR in case window washers can wash windows tomorrow; it is supposed to start raining tomorrow around 10 or 11 a.m. Maybe it won't. Or maybe the most public windows can get washed before it rains.

Harmony, I'm done w being prez but agreed to be treasurer. I just don't want to be there right now!

Helia, I think you need a do-over for the last couple of days. You have so much going on for these other issues to be cropping up.

Dh and ds decided on a car and will pick it up tomorrow afternoon, so thankfully I don't have to drive him around until August. We'll have to work around three cars in the driveway now; always jockeying them around.

Well, LOL! Now, I can't go to bed - I have to stay up b/c the airline is still planning to deliver my bag tonight. I guess it's not enough that they kept me up until 1:30 a.m. last night. . . . I truly find this very humorous! I must be really tired. . . .
