I know how discomfort is with my left shoulder b/c of rotator cuff surgery in 2010, but I have NOTHING compared to what YOU went through! I take Acetaminophen before I go for my mammogram. This last one was still uncomfortable, but I was very happy to learn how my pictures (in Jan. this year) had showed such an improvement b/c my breasts weren't all fatty like they'd been. It was easier for the radiologist to read, too. I was blown away that weight loss did that to breasts, but learned something and am so glad.

I sorted the lol and will be doing 4 loads today, on and off.

I need to put dgson-17 visiting dates on my personal wall calendars in my small office and in between DH's and my mirrors in the master bathroom. I don't want to forget. Also, I put it on my email calendar along with notes of doing pre-grson writing and post-grson writing.

It got sunny, the bunnies are acting so active, silly, and funny here today. They amaze me. The birds have been wonderful, too. ♥

I felt so much better, after Greek yogurt for lunch with 2 tsp. of Optifiber in it. It settled my tummy down. I think I'll continue to double up on the probiotics for awhile longer, too.

Ivy I go on a book binge evey so often trying to stay under $100.00

We have went through several outfits today last was watering. Saw a deer while we were doing that.

We had 3 deer here, last night, eating my sedums/succulents & ornamental grasses in containers. DH yelled at them, then slowly went away and 1 deer tried to kick the other deer (yearlings or younger), as though it was his fault he'd gotten into trouble!

I'll try to keep my book purchases down to the "free" ones from here on over the summer months.

Did 45 min. decluttering on the file container with the handle on it.
I found:
- the poems for a book of poetry
- the start of a novel
- a start for a darker subject poetry
- an avante garde poetry experimental book start
- quotes by myself
- 2 books of short stories by myself, started, about growing up in a small prairie town
- some things, which don't quite make sense.

I told DH, "I have a pen name here, on this novel, and I wrote Shelly Coyote!" He sure had a BIG LAUGH! It's nice to have that part of the decluttering done. I fear more writing in 5 office baskets & the main office filing cabinet with 4 drawers. 1 drawer is for certificates, warranties, directions to vacuum cleaner, etc... and survey stuff, etc... But 3 of those drawers are full of my "stuff."

Finding 1 - 2 stories, which would be good for short story contests was fun, plus story ideas for magazines.

I need to turn the lol now. Towels are dry, whites need to be dried and another lol started.

Dee , Either great minds think alike, regarding the pre-Tylenol for a mammogram or- you and I read the same article of tips prior to mammograms in a magazine. So what is it? The magazine article coincidence or being two peas of the same pod of having GREAT MINDS!

I just submitted a Happy 50th Birthday card poem and 1 contest poem.

Now, to finish my lol.... #1 is put away, #2 is drying, and #3 is washing. #4 is dark clothes, so DH will help with those, if I'm tired by then. (I didn't get my nap today!) OH! Gotta go! #2 load just dinged and so did #3! Onward to getting #4 washing. If I finish my laundry today, I can do letters tomorrow, sort files again, and write. Oh! And it's Hump Day, which = Anti-Procrastination Day and = Desk Day. It's the day I do the trash for the garbage can b/c pick-up is Thurs. early a.m.

End of the second day.

Not quite as good as the first. But we still tipped. Last night, the father of one of the main guys on the crew died and his work was slightly subpar. His lower energy seemed to affect the whole crew.

Everything is in. Not everything is whole. We'll get a claim form by email tomorrow. The biggest issue is the top of the dining table (damaged by screwing up from below, so not an easy sand it out.) Two other items had feet broken off so there's a lot of waiting before I can unpack to the armoire in the dining room (it holds all my candles, linens and sewing things) and the secretary in the front hall (new charging station, place for dh to keep his pocket contents and home for hats & mitts.)

I have an island of boxes in the kitchen plus an extra rolling shelf full of boxes in there and the laundry room. The kitchen no longer seats more than two but the dining room is right there so when we have people over, we'll use the table.

Need to go shift boxes now and see if I can get into bed. I put my night-stand stuff on the window sill in there and can't get to it now. We'll be sleeping in here for several more nights since the waterbed isn't assemble yet, let alone filled. And the shower doesn't come apart so we can't full from there and will need a longer hose to fill from the laundry room. At least I have a laundry room!

Sooo happy to hear about the new baby boy in Harriet's family!!!

Sooo ... ooohhh... I don't even know the WORD I'm looking for to say what I feel for Kathryn's frustration w/movers damaging furniture. OOOHHH... grrrrr...

Sooo guilty-feeling b/c it has been 5 years since my last mammogram and I'm scared to make an appt for one. (No symptoms or reasons to fear, just being irrational and stupid.)

Saw a deer running right through our pasture yesterday -- in the middle of the day, which is unusual for us. Also, dh almost hit one on the street, almost in sight of our town square, the other night.

Crisis of death has forced me into activity. I decided to swap zones this week -- instead of porch/foyer/study, I'm doing guest room/bath, b/c dh's cousin will be staying with us overnight tomorrow. Just man, not his wife. BIG LOL... this man's sister is calling dbil next door to ask if she & her husband can stay overnight at HIS house. Dbil has THREE empty double beds in his house... and he is there alone. What can he possibly say to get out of this little scenario?
OTOH... our guest will most likely remember the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom from his last visit and we think we are pretty lazy and/or "trifling" -- to use another Southern expression -- b/c we have not repaired it yet. DH says he doesn't care WHAT dcousin thinks. If he doesn't like our house, he can stay at the Holiday Inn.

(I know, ds/ddil SHOULD have taken care of these last two, but w/ddil trying to drink all that yucky stuff for colonoscopy & endoscopy scheduled tomorrow, plus having some episodes of throwing up, I figured they had their hands full. And when you've been on the phone for 50-jillion calls, what's two more?)

This day has had some really horrible, unbelievable meltdown moments... and it has had some surprisingly amazingly good moments...

Something really unusual also. Just a random observation I must share --
We have a battery operated clock that is supposed to chime the hour, but has not chimed in years and years and years.
Last night we had a lot of thunderstorms, wind, rain... power outage... but like I said, the clock is battery-operated.
And when I was trying to go to sleep, I realized the clock was chiming again.
Even dh remarked, "That clock has started chiming again since my mother passed away."
Isn't that odd? I mean, in a "pennies from Heaven" sort of way? Just random, and I'm not big into signs or anything like that... we are just amazed that the clock has finally started chiming again and the coincidence of the timing. I don't know. We're weird.

We just had a wimpy thundershower, with two, maybe three rumbles of thunder and a short rainfall. But, I'm glad it did rain, we need it.

Kathryn, I'm sorry your move was less than perfect with the damages done. Hopefully the claims will be honored quickly.

Dee, WTG on getting your mamo done. I'm sorry it is painful for you! Wow, replacing a roof on the church is a big undertaking for a congregation.

OKay, I hope your garden won't take a long time to recover from the storms.

Ivy, I'm happy you'll be visiting with your dgsons this summer. I'm getting excited to seeing my dgd16 and dgs12 in a few weeks.

Today I didn't do any sewing, but decided to pull the tote I have material in and organize it a little. I also came across a small box of material cut into five inch squares in my closet and added that. Sorted it by color and put it back into the tote. I got part of the closet cleaned out, emptying a large carton and several smaller boxes, threw some stuff away.
