One the morning after my friend Andrew died, my friend and Andrew's best friend since first grade called me. She wanted to let me know about Andrew. Then she said to me... The strangest thing has happened. I went to put my watch on and it had stopped at the exact moment Andrew died and I don't know what to do.
My answer??? Frame it ... And she did. I love your clock story... Happy bells ringing on the way to Heaven.

Lucylee , How wonderful about the chiming clock's renewal! ♥
I got a story accepted tonight. Yeah.
DH ran the DW, the dryer was going, the TV was going AND the neighbor was bulldozing near our adjoining property line. I bit noisy at one time for me. Happily, the bulldozer's stopped, the dryer's done, and the DW is quieter now. We're watching "America's Got Talent," while I plan out tomorrow and try to write letters.
Happy Hump Day to everybody tomorrow.

Hi everyone! It's 12:01 here, so I guess I could start a new thread, but I am about to go TO bed, not get up! Foster kitten appears better, and is certainly spunky. Runs right out every time the bathroom door opens and is not at all nervous around the adult cats, even though she has a cone and a visual impairment. From her behavior, I have guessed that neither humans nor dogs are responsible for her injuries, and now I guess I can rule out other cats. That's all I can test, I cannot get a snake or coyote to check her reaction.
I handled a Dept of Workforce Services hearing. They audited my unemployment claim for one of the weeks, as it happened it was the absolute best week they could have chosen, an interview week! I have finished studying C++ (took only two days) and will take the assessment tomorrow. Art class was cancelled this morning, but because DD12 is at Camp Grandma in AL, I was able to join the Tuesday night class and see friends I had not been able to see for a while. (They started in the Thursday pm class I started in, then a conflict arose and they changed. Since they carpool, if you lose one, you lose the other too.) I have put the trash out, which was hard because the garage door won't open now. I had to clear a path to a side door and get them out that way. At least I didn't have to haul them through the house! Cat care and me care is done, and kitten is still doing well, bored though. My car is running noticeably better after yesterday's oil change. I have gotten so where I can feel a quart low. This time, I did not even need to check the dipstick. My car has become 'educational', which is where a lot of people start to consider a new car. Even if I were not broke, they no longer make Ford Taurus Wagons, so that is not an option for me.
Congratulations to Harriet on the new arrival!
Kathryn: While I am sorry to hear about the pain in the tailbone of broken furniture, I hope your experience is like ours was. When we got the table back from the repair place, we wished they had broken both sides of the table instead of just one. The repaired section was so much better.
