Monday Reset

Post by BookSaver »

Good morning, villagers ~
Do you take the opportunity on Mondays to reset to a so-called "normal" routine?
Maybe these days your life resembles the saying, "Normal is just a setting on your dryer."
Either way, remember to follow Harriet's advice to drink enough water. :)

Lots was reset today here.
2 lol - both still out in the moonbeams.

My yoga class has turned into pilates. Yoga teacher wanted a different arrangement outside of gym membership. In truth - my membership is up in three weeks. His style of yoga is too much for me - esp without the block props. I think I'm done there.
In truth also - there would have been a lot of yoga I couldn't do today. My rt foot is unhappy. My hips were unhappy. I sort of did my own thing in the class today. Unless my body is happier next week - I'll skip going back to that class.

brought over friend to see if she was ok to come here after her colonscopy. She is. Her small flat is too much in chaos for me to stay there. I'm not sure she sees it.

pd bill. Rang about another bill - not coming until next month. I thought I'd missed it.

Bought next 2 years computer security. There was a problem and I had to go back to the shop with my laptop. Hours out of my day. Finally - it seems ok after it demanded an at risk shut down.

Still need to wash dishes.
Winter night reset button is totally pushed here. 15c inside here tonight. I want to wrap up in a blanket.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Well, GEE, as long as someone brings up the subject.. ... ;) check out the Idaho Health Dept.'s web site with quick interesting facts about water drinking and dehydration. Second page is even more interesting that the first. Water - Why You Should Be Drinking It Pains that enough water can ease, cancers it can help avoid, aiding liver in weight loss, smoothing sagging skin.

Driver's ed class looks BIG. Hmmm... ... Also certainly no friends she recognizes, except one boy whose attentions make her feel awkward. Hope she can work that out.

Lynlee, you are smart to plan for calm surroundings after your friend's colonoscopy. She may need very little from you, but at least you'll be prepared well.

Subject on my heart and on my mind, Booksaver & Harriet -water that is. Will bring up that site shortly, Harriet. Been thinking a lot about water lately and know it has to be a big part of my daily regimen.

I've really eased into the day! Slept in the recliner from about 2-5. Woke up & went back in the bed. It was plenty chilly in here -61 when I finally got up around 7. Dozed in the recliner again until 8 and I've been slowly going through making our bed, BS testing (higher than I'd like at 123 (but had strawberry shortcake, first of the season, last night), meds and eating breakfast and now just finishing up my cup of coffee.

Don't remember if I stated or not, but my Dr. said Friday that my mammogram results had just come in and all was ok. Another big sigh. She was really pretty pleased with my numbers -all down from last fall. But I know I can get some of them even better. So that's my focus as well loss in weight and the water.

Dh has gone to the dentist to hopefully get his plate adjusted enough so he can eat a little more and then on to take a load of scrap metal into the city.

Now that it's 9 o'clock, time to throw on some clothes and get on with my 3-minute round robin. Then I have some detailed housekeeping to take care of. Need to make a l&&t of those things I definitely want done before this weekend. None are very big. One absolute is to plan meals for Sunday/Monday and get a shopping l&&t together.

Finally s2s and just want to do a quick 3-minute round robin to make sure things are neat & tidy. Do need to spend some time cleaning off a couple of chairs by our dining room table. Things do accumulate. Trying to keep my table top relatively cleaned off (it's also my desk and my printer sits on one chair, pretty much out of the way). Have to improvise some when living in a small space. My bothersome point right now is a puzzle that has been on our coffee table since dh started recuperating last summer. It's collecting dust and really not DUST -ABLE! Think I'll have to ask dh if he really thinks he'll complete it or should I take it apart and take it to FL with us this winter. Sounds like a plan to me. He really doesn't have much time during the summer to spend on it. That will be the question of the day when he returns from his recycling runs.

Finding myself just a tad nervous over dsonil's job interview coming up Thursday (Brunswick, GA) and what a change that will make in their lives, providing that he lands said job. This could be a year of huge change, what with gd15 now living under the guardianship of another family. (So far everything there is pretty good!) This mom did call dd the other day & told her that they had thought about calling her and telling her, "It's just not working out, we're bringing her back". But then decided that might not be a good plan. DD told her how glad she was that wasn't the case. "I would have had an immediate panic attack & it's not something I've had!!" The 'Mom' told her things are going quite well. Think them even getting out of state for a while will be an enormous change for gd and may well be good for her. Especially since they have to adhere to the rules of an army base. I am so looking forward to (in good faith) a big change in her so that dd/dsil may look forward to seeing her in adult hood as a whole person and not one they're afraid will come back & do something. It would be a wonderful change.

Off to do my round robin>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

CI: Taking care of a bunch of Emails to catch up from being away. I was going to do them yesterday, but DH wanted to go out for a drive, listen to podcasts in the car, and have supper in The Big City. By the time we got back home last night, I was rather brain dead and only had enough energy to do a few mini jobs and watch some recorded shows.

I know that I haven't been drinking enough water recently while I've been out of the house for long blocks of time. Here at home, I have a water glass on the kitchen counter, on my desk, and in the bathroom. Every time I go to one of those places, I automatically drink some water.

That doesn't work anywhere else, though. I couldn't leave glasses out at the sewing day camp. I had to consciously think about reaching for my travel mug. I did choose to drink a full glass of water at lunch and supper times, but otherwise was not as much hydration with plain water as usual.

That's one of the things I like about getting back into my usual routine.

Very interesting pamphlet, Harriet (on water). I read it, printed it out so I can re-read every day until it's second nature. That being said, will now get up and measure out my 8 glasses of water & see how far I can begin to get with it today. May take me a few to work up to that amount, but know it will be helpful to me in several ways. Thank you!

Waving a quick good morning to ya'll...

Up early which is fine for me. Already cleaned my over, did my morning routines and have fed one doggie.

I'm heading out to the gym this morning, so the house is in order and I am about to dress in my gym clothes. The rest of my day will include a quick blessing of my home. Laundry is done and so is dinner. The whole chicken I cooked was the absolute best I've ever made. New recipe... Very easy, but the secret is the prep 24 hours before cooking and changing temps as it cooked. This is definately company worthy.... Will post the recipe later...

Gotta go bbl....

I'm needing a reset in terms of eating! Posted in H&F that yesterday was not a good day for my eating plan.

I got up later that I wanted this morning but I simply could not open my eyes this morning at 7 a.m. (yes, got it right this time, Dee  ) So it was 8:30ish when I got up, all I've done so far is go surf online and walk ddogs before it got any hotter outside.

So.....
-breakfast/brunch
-reboot laundry
-s2s
-kitchen clean up
-meds/vitamins
