Hello Dear Ladies,
Don't get to open the day for everyone too much but hope this is alright.
Work day for me again.
Tomorrow is Dson-18 heart ultrasound and then right after that is appointment with heart surgeon.
I feel very down most days, worry about Dson-18 and sad that it is getting closer to Dson-26 leaving. Peaks and valleys of life. It's valley time for awhile.
Got to get Dbrother up and help him. Then off to work.
Have a Sweet Sunday all!

Re: Sweet Sunday
The title is absolutely 'sweet', Sadie. Love it. Very tranquil.
I've picked up through, done dishes, have a lol going in the dryer -sheets. So that means I must have stripped the bed -now to make it back up and sweep through. Want to spend a few minutes sprucing up the deck. Doesn't need much. Except there's so much 'cotton' flying in the air that every corner and screen traps the bits and pieces!
It's an ongoing battle to keep screens, etc clean. Need to windex a few places as well -especially the sliding patio door.

Re: Sweet Sunday
It is a slow day here in Sheville -but many of you are probably where I SHOULD be. We decided to stay home and get the odds 'n ends done. It's now 'sweet' cause I'm ready for company. Bring 'em on.
Got the LOL folded & put away. Dh just helped me remake the bed. Now that's ready for company sleep over. Dh and I will take the recliners tonight. Especially since they're only staying one night (I do believe). Sure dbil would like to stay longer but dsisil is more than ready to head back to FL. Think they left over 2 weeks ago. They had planned originally to be away 3 weeks. They didn't even go see their friends in Utica as dsisil decided she just didn't want to make that stop.
Still need to take the broom to some spots on the deck. Dh and possibly his db will 'fetch' our grill -it's up by the store as we've been using it to cook on Thursday nights for the car shows. But I need it here today.
Dh let me take some things to the dumpster -YAY! Still need to sweep in here and just straighten the car a little bit.

"Sweet" opener, Sadie!
Will be Thinking of You & your Dson, his tests, etc... (((Sadie))) & Dfamily.
I didn't sleep well. Something was on my mind. Then, got up at 7 a.m. b/c was excited about Dgrson-17 arriving today at 1 p.m. Need to do toilets, kitchen counters, check LOL to see if I need to do some, but have the week planned out.
It's sunny, will be hot today, 79* or more. Nice for grandson company, if he hikes in the woods, builds on his fort some more, etc....
I need to write 1 letter. I'll get to it sometime this week, while the guys are getting firewood. The neighbor & we each have 5 cords each, need 9 each, to get us through the fall to late winter months, & the grandsons helping sure does help.
It's quiet at the Village this morning!
It's 9:12 a.m. here, right now. Dgrson leaves at 9 a.m. this morning. Hope he has a good drive down.
The International Coffee is sure hitting the spot this a.m.!

Re: Sweet Sunday
Quiet day in the village today! I took the day off yesterday! Read a book for much of the day in my pajamas, then dh and I went out for a very nice dinner. I wasn't even online very much altho I did read here.
I made breakfast burritos for me and dh a few minutes ago. He's been out to play tennis and has mowed the yard this morning. Maybe he'll be happy staying in where it's cool this afternoon, and i can read more!
-kitchen and breakfast bar clean up
-reboot laundry
-clear kitchen table
-brush teeth etc.
-start the dishwasher
-make the bed
I think that will finish a.m. routine, then maybe I can read more?
Hoping Harriet had a good experience at church this morning....
Nodding with everyone else that OKay and Mr. OKay shouldn't be expected to take on three more little ones!

Re: Sweet Sunday
Morning ya'll
I've just come in from spending three hours outside trimming trees. Sweetie is still out there working on the pool. I couldn't handle any more even with several dips in the pool to cool off. We'll finish the rest tonight when the sun goes down.
In the meantime I have finished my morning routines and am taking a break to drink my second cup of coffee. On s Sweetie comes in I will make him his Sunday morning breakfast ... Poached eggs. We went out to eat last night and had a wonderful dinner ... It is one of Norma and Mr. Guy's favorite places to eat. Of course they have several, but this one is called the Red, White and Brew. During the time they are home, Sweetie and I look for new places to take them once they are here.
I need to do so some house blessings today as tomorrow is my genealogy class. I also need to think about dinner.
Twins... I'm right thee with you about reading a book. Taking the day off to read is one my most favorite things to do. I have a good book just a few inches away from me as I write this. It a great read and easy to get lost in. I'm so happy you took the day off to indulge yourself... You so deserve it.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow Sadie and praying for good and easy to fix results.
Need to go wash this zinc and sunscreen off of my face and then it's time to drive Lawrence's camels back over the hill before I get lost in my book and then watch some USA soccer. Hope ya'll are having a wonderful day. Cya'll later...

Re: Sweet Sunday
DH did toilets this a.m., after his shower, then left to get the car washed & to get some strawberries at the stand & a few groceries. He's going to serve vanilla ice cream over strawberries, but I can't have those b/c of not being able to digest either one. I can eat 1 or 2 strawberries without a problem. He's getting chili & bread, etc.., too, for him & dgrson-17.
It'll be 78* here today, our weather base says in our house. I'm thinking about reading, crocheting, & writing on a story today, by hand, while chatting with dgrson. I can log stories while dgs is gone getting firewood. We have 5 cords, need 9, so we're over the hump mark.
The boys help so much, whenever they come. They're fun, nice kids, very polite, very good kids, & so grown up. Ddil & Dson did a great job with all of them. 6 boys, 1 DD-17.5-months old.
My Dsis emailed, our little brother just turned 44. Dsis will be 54 in August, she's feeling old already, but I'm 62.5, so 54 is young to me.
I put up my "Simple Sunday," index card for today, last night. At night, I change the cat desk calendar, the index card for the day, & tidy the desk area up. I set the dawn simulator, get out clothes for the next day, & check my SHE card folder, too. It's a joy to put up a new index card for the next day. It makes me feel like- WHEW! I made it through another day! AND, look! Tomorrow's a NEW DAY!

Re: Sweet Sunday
Sadie - my thoughts are with you. It is so difficult when our kids are having a hard time. I will be praying for both of your boys.
Tomorrow would have been second son's 53rd birthday. He has been gone since he was just about 19. I can't help thinking what he would look like now, what he would have been doing, etc. I think of those people who can take a picture of a young person and make him look like 40-50 years older. I would love to see what he would have looked like now. Tomorrow is also Mr. Guy's 73rd birthday and my dDad was born 109 years ago tomorrow. I had my choice of the day I wanted my induction for Bob and I chose my DDad's birthday. He became Daddy's "special" Grandson. (Not that they weren't all special.)
Cowinkie!! You are far too energetic for me. Working in the yard, going to the gym, etc. etc. I am feeling like a fat frump compared to you. Glad you went to Red White and Brew last night. I remember that is where we met your neighbors for the first time. You know - Jay Leno's twin brother!
It's true! He looks just like Jay. I couldn't stop staring at him. Mr. Guy went for our ride this morning in the '31 and now he is just returning to the garage with our neighbor. He is 85 and oh how he loves to go riding with Mr. Guy.
Busy busy week coming up. Mr. Guy has pre-op appointment on Tuesday, Wednesday I have the blind guy coming to clean my blinds and also on Tuesday the painters are coming to powerwash the house and caulk. Thursday is Mr. Guy's knee surgery and also the painters will paint the house on that day. I think that is enough for one week. Tonight we are going to have steak for Mr. Guy's birthday dinner. Two places in our little town have wonderful celebratory dinners so don't know which he will pick.
Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Re: Sweet Sunday
Taking a break....boots kicked off, cup of coffee and bottle of water nearby.
DH stayed home this morning due to pain level from kidney stone. That meant I did MPB chores by myself....well, I did have **help** from LO.
Then we went to church. I picked up cheeseburgers from local cafe on the way home for a quick lunch.
I have a half dozen notes to process from church. Progress made on many on-going projects, but first I just want to relax a bit.
