OKay, thank goodness this came upon him after all that recent responsibility at the MPB was over. (And thank goodness he has you.) Working in the heat and getting dehydrated, though, could have had an effect because kidney stones require a lot of water to pass and without enough can cause trouble. We may be passing some when we don't even know, but there's just plenty of water traveling along without a hassle.

Norma, I hope Mr. Guy has a fun birthday tomorrow.

I got through the morning at church. I was struck with how much clueless-ness there is regarding the concerns that are being expressed. And there was an additional postponement (until Monday after next Sunday) of the meeting that has to take place before there can be a full meeting.

It's a quiet day here at home for dh and me. I have been working this week to get ready for our trip. Until a few days ago I thought the 25th was on Thurs.....uh-uh, it's this Wednesday! :o

So far the past few days I have done some cleaning, etc., (trash pick-up was yesterday), did a few lol and gone through my clothes. Clothes are ready to pack, dh's are already in his suitcase! I have also finished our finances for the month.

Today is a Sweet Sunday for dgd19. She is on her way to Scotland with her high school band - she is one of the chaperones! Another lady friend of ddil#2's is going as the chaperone/photographer. I had met her once some time ago, and when I made a comment on one of her pictures a few days ago she added me to her friend list so I could see all the pictures of their trip as she posts them; so nice of her to do that for a proud dgrma. Ddil texted me dgd flight # so I can track the plane on flightaware. I'm so excited for dgd!

Tomorrow dh has an INR test, then we will go to bank and library. Right now I am going to start packing and gather a few more things to take. I also have to print out airline info.

Harriet, are they going about all this a little backwards?

OKay, sending your dh well wishes.

((Sadie)) I'll be thinking of your ds18 and you tomorrow!

Ivy, do enjoy your visit with dgs17!

Home again. I had just started on the kitchen when dh asked about going to the market so I finished that round - except for making the bed - and we went to the market. He got a massage, and we got produce: new potatoes, corn on the cob, tomatoes, peaches and blueberries. Also bought strawberry jam and a carrying bag that will double as an oversized purse or market bag.

Dh is watching soccer. I think I'll take advantage of the unmade bed and take a little nap. I got way overheated while out. The market is shaded - but the area in front of it is street with food trucks. Dh stopped to get an ice cream and it took forever standing in the sun! I don't have tolerance for the heat like he does....

Good afternoon all! I'm ready for a day when I'm not out of the house for 7+ hours. Or hosting some event. Tonight, is GG's going away dinner, which is just our family, including S and R. I'm re-heating the pot roast which I made Thursday night - before I realized that no one was eating at home that night, except for GG - and myself at 9 pm. Then, we're going to a nearby nice restaurant for dessert. This restaurant has very nice crepes.

We are having summer weather, which we're enjoying so very much! It is currently 81*, clear, and sunny at 5:05 pm. Tomorrow is supposed to get up to 84.

Church this morning - I helped in the T1 room. Lots of 1 year olds there, 11-12, I think. I can remember 12, but one was a visitor, and he was not happy with us and didn't stay. We had lunch at Panera w/ s, R, and baby J. Then, I slept off and on for about 2.5 hours this afternoon. I think I'm catching up. I have also emptied the dw, started the crockpot, and prepped the remainder of the potatoes in the house for the oven (baked potatoes - simple). I will also make rice since we don't have enough potatoes for everyone.

Next:
- call mom and dad, short? Maybe I don't have enough time for this.
- start rice cooker
- reclaim kitchen
- cut up a cantaloupe

We're aiming to eat at 6 pm.

Next week looks pretty busy too, with something every morning (I'm helping with the church kids' camp), something scheduled 3 afternoons, and something scheduled 2-3 evenings as well, and trying to get both dd18 ready for her trip to haiti by Tuesday and GG ready to go home on Wednesday. . . What happened to the open lazy carefree days of summer? Next week, hopefully. . .

Watched the end of the USPGA Open, Mariners baseball, news, & now "Mountain Men," is on cable. Dgs & I walked, an old neighbor & his friend dropped by, said he "ex"-es father had died. Had a great chat, fun, & LOL!

Did s2s after dinner, DH is now running the DW, & dgs has his laptop set up with the Wii-U in the bunny room, with clothes, pillow, backpack, etc... We're enjoying him, DH & dgs ate ribs & fried potatoes for dinner. They'll have strawberries on vanilla ice cream, for dessert.

I hand wrote 2.5 pages on a story, read on my Nook e-reader, & am wearing down. Rested 1 time for 50 min., but didn't sleep. Will sleep well tonight, get up early, so the guys can get firewood. Then DH, his buddy-neighbor (he gets wood with), has a b-day tomorrow & they & dgs will go to Big Guys Burgers, or whatever you call it. I'll stay home to do LOL & write, crochet, etc....

It was a beautiful warm day here. My Dsis emailed & it's 95* in Ivins, Utah, near St. George. They have an above ground pool they set up with a kit, so call it "floating" when they go in it. I'm rambling b/c I'm sleepy. Have a great evening, Everyone. My index card in my office, on its display thing says, "MONDAY MOJO!" I hope I can get some by then! :!: :!:

I'm still here. Haven't fallen off the balcony. Just a busy day.

Left here at 8:49 for church, got there for 9:15. Had my tea in the car on the way in order to make enough time to get off only 20 minutes past our goal to leave at 8:30.

Church went quite well - first full service with the new minister, good coffee hour, then dh and I went over the music for the afternoon. Got over to the house just before noon and got a few things done, then off for lunch (and reviewing the service) and then my afternoon service.

After that I dropped off a box of broken dishes for a woman who's doing mosaics, then we returned the mirror that didn't fit, picked up dh's yogurt drinks, hit a dollar store and a grocery store and came home and unloaded the car then had dinner on the balcony.

All evening we worked on the office and it is about half done now. I still have to load the office filing cabinet (hope everything will fit since I swapped cabinets) and there's lots of small things looking for homes as well. We have about 5 archive boxes that need to go into storage so we'll move them back to the house over the next few weeks.

No action on the house front. I've extremely discouraged. Only one person through, she thought the house was too big and not suitable for small children. Tell that to the parents who put their kids in my daycare!

I'm icing knees right now and will do a round of physio next.

Kathryn, don't tease us about falling! Hope the ice for knee helps. I shared with an elderly friend at church your story of having peace with where your piano now lives. She has recently let hers go. She said afterward that I was sent to church today just for her, because she needed to hear about that.

Sunny, I hope your dgd's trip to Scotland is wonderful. That is somewhere I would love to go. Dd34 and dsonil went to Ireland on their honeymoon and their experience was great.

Big exercise night for me as I try a turnaround to taking care of myself for the coming week and avoiding the preoccupation, or too much worry.

I've been sending prayers when I read of village concerns and doings.

Kathryn - I'm thinking post building of your tower block, lots of things have been changes/added that just don't fit or work. Prayers for your old place - and this new one.

My friend who was going to stay over tonight after procedure bailed on it last night. I think she needed more help with the prep.
Just begin.
