Our day's sorta started out "weird".

My cat was hiding behind the washer machine in the utility room, because something's spooked her in the night. I'm wondering if someone attempted to break in, but DH said it was probably a coyote howling, a deer walking by OR fireworks that scared her.
Then, when DH is headed out to the car in the garage, I notice he has a 1-inch cut that's BLEEDING on top of his bald head!

He said, "Oh, I just got hit with a piece of wood is all. I'm fine. I broke the scab open when I combed my hair."

I dabbled tissue on it, because I can just "picture" him at Costco with bright red blood running down the back of his head into his turtleneck.

I hope it'll stop bleeding and doesn't run and upset anybody at the store with this old man walking around with a bloody head.
Then, I weighed myself, I've lost more weight, I tried on a pair of pants, which were too tight and uncomfortable, so changed into 18-W and there was a 5-inch GAP between my belly and the pants waist.

I told DH, I don't even OWN a belt. So I put on 16-W pants and they're roomy, feel good on. I couldn't find a top to fit right. I was trying on new tops that DH bought at Costco. I need to lose a bit more, but I did find a long-sleeved beautiful olive, orange, brown, and tan print long-sleeved top that fits, with sequins all over the front. It was a little something I bought at a bargain outlet, I couldn't resist, it never fit until now. I feel rather "odd" to be cleaning house in sequins, but DH laughed and said, "That's what sequins are for. To fall off or they wouldn't be sequins."

I'm shaky today, too. I don't know if it's from weight loss or concern about my cat's being so jittery today, because whatever it was in the night, sure did upset her and now I'M upset. I just have to remember about coyotes, deer, and fireworks and put out of my mind anything like prowler or burglar. We have a security system, too, and wood fir floors that squeak a LOT when anyone, even a KID walks across them, so we heard nothing in the night. My poor cat.

She's just not herself today- or me.
DD called at 10:35 p.m. last night, deciding to come for 4th of July after all!

She's trying to talk her Ddad into buying a couple of steaks.

I can't eat beef right now because of this special Gastritis Diet I'm on.

So he said he'll get something special at Costco and she'll have to be surprised.

It'll be nice to see her again.

I'm planning on doing a quick Conga on and off today, then NOT write anymore stories. I sent 2 Halloween stories in, I want to enjoy the holiday and not be fretting about work. So when Dgs-15.5 is here, I'll work ahead on Nov. titles/stories by hand, relaxing because that deadline isn't until Aug. 1 and he'll be here July 5 - 12.
About older women taking care of babies.... My Dmil used to say, "If God meant older women to have babies, he'd have made us that way. This way, we can enjoy them while they're here, then send them home." She said being around babies too much made her anxious, although she loved them dearly. I was the daycare person for dgs from birth to nearly 2.5. I loved it. We hiked with him in a baby backpack on me, there was the stroller, but when he started missing being around other children, DD put him into a daycare preschool, where he thrived and he was in preschool until Kindergarten and of course, then started school. I think preschool gave him a good start. Dson/Ddil do preschool, too, for their younger children.
I apologize for rambling. I'm sleepy, I guess.

At least I've written my Conga list out. I might not get around to cleaning until afternoon though, since I'm so tired. DH should be back in about 1/2 hour or so, so I'm anxious to take a look at his head again. Is this being paranoid? I think 'what if he gets that flesh-eating bacteria on his head?'!

It happened to a little boy in our state, he got healed and a miracle, which healed him made Saint Kateri into a Saint. This little boy and his family got to see the Pope and see the Sainthood ceremony for this Saint who healed the little boy. I'm just not going to think the worst. I'm sure DH will be fine, but it was bleeding and pooling in a one-inch line. I was shocked.

Sorry, but he's so strong, rugged, and healthy, so this really concerned me.

Thanks for listening to my rambles. I think I'll go put in some more eye gel and journal.
I DID s2s, shampoo, etc... I had QT, but need to write in my other journal yet, so I'm on my way to do that now. I need to check to see if I have laundry to do, too. At least I did toilets and trash on Tuesday, so I'll do it again today, which won't be bad to do. I need to get out a pillow in case DD naps after eating, before the drive home. She's on a C-Pap machine, has a sleep Dr. and is trying to get 9 hours of sleep now.
