Happy Birthday to blessed's ddOlder!
Kathryn, sending up a little prayer that all goes well for your preparations.
Nancy, you are on a roll for lucky finds, including new layer's egg. So nice to find a match for kitchen items you like.
LadyM, I hope your dmother's cut heals well. Hmmm... ... I guess I just talked with guitarist about how worried I would be about it! It was very unnerving that he asked me in front of my dcousin, his wife and daughter instead of privately. I got the impression we were saying I would think about it, but don't remember actually saying that! I think I was flustered.. ...
Sunny, I think your dmil and my grandmother were just being good to children and pretending they didn't want those nicer pieces! Since I heard this family story, I always thought this was such a lousy deal for my grandmother, because she would have raised the chickens herself back then, and done so much more work toward getting a meal on the table than we do now.
Off to bed to feel chipper and be outdoors by 8:00 to continue my energy level experiment. Wish there wasn't so much dew on the ground at that hour, but there sure is. The humidity here is amazing. I could find so much more to do with myself if grass was dry instead of saturated!

Re: Have a Blast, Sunday
Hi everyone!
We had 2 viewings today. While I was there, someone wanted an info page because the container was empty. Got her one and answered a few questions... Put 6 info sheets in and at least 3 were taken by the time I left. (I saw 3 people stop, get out, grab one, and go. But I wasn't near the front windows the entire time.)
The first viewers stayed almost an hour. They were inside with a realtor while I sat outside.
Second viewers asked me a lot of questions after they came outside. But they were only inside for 20 minutes. Very little time for a 4 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms and a full basement plus the back yard to look at.
I had a great day, and a great weekend.

I finished loading the dishwasher for this round. Got the sink emptied. Worked on the counters. Watered the back yd. Hens are happy to cool off their feet. It clouded up and cooled off to 95*.

Peekin' in...
Kathryn hope all goes well for you on Tue. and LadyM hope your mom is doing better. My mom feel last fall...she was sitting on a very low beach chair and fell over trying to get up. Didn't fall far but managed to cut her hand on some metal and needed 12 stiches in the palm of her hand.
Sweetie was about to take me to dinner when Willis started this terrible hacking cough that wouldn't stop. We waited around and it only got worse..I was afraid he had a twisted stomach. He wouldn't drink and only foam came up every once in a while. We ended up taking him to the animal emergency room where a great vet examined Willis. It wasn't the bloat and he didn't have anything stuck in his wind pipe and everything was clear to his stomach. Vet thought perhaps something scratched Willis throat or it was irratated.
Told us it was alrigth to take him home and if Willis was still coughing in the morning to take him to our vet. Well he's still coughing so I gave him a spoonful of honey to see it that might help...it did a little but he's back to coughing again. Get the feeling this could be a long night .... nothing like sick Kids and dogs. Glad I got everything done I needed to do today.
As for my packing...I did watch some videos and read some travelers blogs to get some ideas on my packing. I do pretty well on my own, but am always open to suggestions. I used some new packing "cubes" which are basically small soft containers that you can place clothes in and them zip the containers up. Helps to compact the clothes. Makes the suitcase very organized, but my guess is I probably could have gotten the same amout of stuff in doing it my way. I read somewhere that a pair of pants should last 3 days and a top 2. I had a little more leeway since I'm not taking pants, only shorts...and as always I
am wearing my heavest stuff on the plane.
My quart size bag with all the stuff that's liquid turned out really neat. Over the years I have purchased many little containers that stack on top of each other. I put everything in these as well as some little bottles that I have. I even sprayed some perfume into one so I can take it with me. Had to add my contacts as well because they are daily ones and come in their own containers with water. Glad I thought of that.
Anyway with Willis not feeling well I don't know what tomorrow holds...at least all my packing is done so I have the day to do what ever is needed...Willis of course is my first priority. I just hope I get to sleep a bit tonight.
Hope ya'll have sweet dreams...I'm off to see if I can find some myself
Just saw your post Nancy....yes we had some bad storms and they are still hanging around...course you know Sweetie was driving us to the vets at worp speed during the storms. The storms are traveling from east to west and come up from the south. MT is way to the west of me, but not near Phoenix. She is also way west of Phoenix too. She may be lucky and get missed by the storms....me not so much, but there was a rainbow shining during all of this when we were driving home from the vets.... no viewing of the super moon for me tonight...bummmer

Here you go, FF -- #15, the arrow, is the piercing. Right now ddil just has sort of a barbell in her ear, but she wants the arrow. When it heals, she'll get the arrow, she says.
Oh well. Kids. It could be worse, huh?

Everything is going fine around here. Just a typical Sunday. Enjoyed church w/ds, ddil, dgs -- although we didn't actually see him, LOL. DS said he was quite eager to get to the nursery when they arrived and went straight to it and started playing. Glad to hear that.
We went to see Begin Again tonight, w/Keira Knightley. Pretty good movie.
Also saw Third Person the other night, w/Liam Neeson. Good, but very strange movie. Very odd.
And yes, we've seen the new Planet of the Apes. It's pretty good too, but nothing you wouldn't expect.
That's the movie review for this week.
Gotta give dh the computer now. See y'all tomorrow.
