ANTI-PROCRASTINATION MONDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

Is there a task you've been procrastinating on? (Don't we all have at least one). Well I'm  to say that my church council minutes have sat here for 9 weeks! Tonight is our first meeting since June 9th and now I've GOT to get them done. And today is also dh's eye appointment this morning. So thought I'd get us started since I need my 'village' fix before I get busy. I'm s2s and meds done -that's it. So will have breakfast and get at those minutes. We have to leave for eye Dr in less than 2 hours.

After the eye dr we're stopping by so dh can have a closer look at the 2 cars we're interested in. I was really hoping to wait a while, but now my engine light is on -for whatever reason. He checked things last night and can't find anything.

I got my washing done today.
Tossed one from unused bathroom supplies, and did a spot of cleaning in there.
Just begin.

It is nice to see Lynlee posting more often, isn't it?

I'm up. Made the bed, tidied the kitchen, started the dishwasher. Am having my tea and chocolate now.

Ds just got in 10 minutes ago. I was getting concerned (he was off work at 7) but he's all tucked into bed now with a glass of water in case he gets thirsty and the a/c on in his room.

I had the windows open but they are all shut now. The apartment is still quite warm, surprising since it was cool through the night. That's the power of the sun on the big windows. Our thermostats don't seem to work well. For instance, I wanted to start the a/c in the bedroom two nights ago but the system claimed it was already 61 in the bedroom (it was more like 75.) Not sure how this is going to work in the winter. In the bedroom, the thermostat is on the outside wall, next to the radiator. At least in the rest of the rooms it is on inside walls.

Booked car appointment for tomorrow. So we'll be carless all day but that's the best way to get it done before we leave on our trip. The alternative was to take it in after our dinner on Thursday night and wait until midnight for it. Not the best idea if we are leaving the next day!

Have eaten, washed up hand dishes, open the dishwasher to air-dry the other dishes, and read the first chapter of my book from the library. Next up s2s.

Dee, I could use an anti-procrastination month but I'm glad you're nudging me into anti procrastination territory today. May just do routines as I hit them (or not) along the way and do some anti procrastination tasks....

I just walked ddogs and I'm cooling down, even tho it's a cooler morning with a slight breeze here. So glad it's Monday - what a change from how I felt when I worked outside the home! Ds is home today and may want assistance with buying for school apartment, but otherwise it's a quiet day and I don't have anything on the social calendar.

Ds is up now, going to have my (late) breakfast and regroup.

An earlier start this a.m. was good because we need the house spruced up, and also because dd starts tomorrow morning on driving with the instructor, so we might as well be used to earlier rising.

I've decided on 27-decisions and have done so in kitchen, master bedroom, master bathroom and master closet so far.

Dd won't need me in front bathroom or her bedroom or closet since those are her charges today.

We'll share the work in LR and DR. In BookSaver's new Cleaning Focus for August thread I see that it is Living Room cleaning week. Some declutter this week in the dining room will get me ready for it next week, too.

It's pouring rain so nothing is happening on the porch, etc. What a rainy August here.

Twins' Mom - how is Moses today? Harmony's suggestion wondering if it might be a UTI did seem possible - lots of outdoor trips.

Harriet and Harmony, thanks for the thoughts about Moses - he seems fine today and had a BM yesterday and this morning so we know he's not constipated. We had a quiet overnight - no crazy barking in the night, thank goodness. I still suspect it was an animal - cat, dog, coyote, raccoon, whatever that had him upset.

Was up at 7 a.m., s2s, am in right hip muscle pain, move around with a timer, stretch, etc... but... Will try my best to get my Anti-Procrastination item done, which is to read "Rose Harbor in Bloom," as it's #2 in Debbie Macomber's series and book #3 in the series (autographed!) :P gets shipped the 12th.

Thanks for the opener, Dee. :D

Had a terrible late-night email from Dsis about the family, FB, and "dysfunctional posts" back and forth. I put up boundaries, as I left the family 44 years ago, to leave the back-stabbing, gossip, feuds and totally "nutty" actions and life, behind me, to one of calm, love, acceptance, respect, and compassion.

I'm so thankful I found DH and his Dfamily. ♥ Our adult kids and grandchildren are respectful, considerate, loving people, too. I'm glad.

I need to go stretch and walk around some more. Will try to do a Conga today, in baby steps, on and off. DH is going to Sears for his t-shirts, then to 2 stores.

I got 3 stories logged and submitted this weekend, so I did my anti-procrastination-type things then. But my hip's really paying for it today. Will walk and read, continue stretching, and baby-step the day.

Twins' Mom, I hope Moses gets well soon.

Dee, Good luck on the car search.
