Wet Wednesday

It is a very wet day here. So I'll focus on inside 'wet' things.

Like laundry and cleaning the bathrooms.

I have stain treated my only pair of capris that fit well. And now I'm hand washing one of my new tops that needs hand washing.

What wet chores will you get up to today?

Still feeling physically sick over the house sale. Also don't believe it will actually happen.

Woke up too early but still too tired to get out of bed. So dozed for 2.5 hours and got my day off to a late start.

Need to finish packing. Also need to drive out to the house and get the cooler and pick up mail. Groceries have to happen in there too since we have lots of people for dinner tomorrow night and no meal plan as of the moment. I miss my BBQ.

Wait! My bbq is over at dd's house! Maybe we should move the meal to her place!!!!

Sounds like a plan to me, Kathryn, then dd can deal with the clean up.

I'm feeling physically ill myself. Slept barely last night. Mind was going with so many things, not the least of which was our cell phone bill via email! Planning to go to A T T after dh has his lunch and I can have his phone in hand. Our bill has been $126 forever. Looked at it a bit ago and it was the same. Dh does have a new phone with internet capability but he doesn't use it. Our bill jumped to $210. (His was over $170!! That had me so nervous all night on top of thoughts of Robin Williams, Tony Stewart, the new car, Casey (the man who dh saved in May), and a girl who stayed here a couple of summers ago. She's from just beyond our hometown in central NY. She had Hodgkins Disease and stayed here with her mother for treatment. She had a relapse a while back and just passed away this week. It's so treatable today that it was hard to swallow. When dh had it 50 years ago, it was pretty much a death sentence. We were blessed.

Find myself wanting to go to the Free Cell game and I took it off my desktop yesterday. Sure it will save a lot of wasted minutes (hours).

Ate dinner too late last night (chili) so BS was up a little this morning -120. But I'll take that over something over 150.

I'm s2s and that's it. Haven't even got meds to take until I put them up for a couple of weeks. Guess that will be the first step.

Morning ya'll...

It's raining. It's POURING here in my corner of the village... Been raining since last night. I am subbing this morning and abt to get ready for work. Need to rethink what I will wear and what do to with my hair.

I'm probably the only on in AZ that owns a raincoat. It's only 30 yrs old and haven't worn it but once since I moved her 15 years ago. Think today will be a good one to pull it out from the back of my closet.

Hope Kathryn and Dee start to feel better.. Gotta wash my hair but it's thundering and lightning like crazy. I was struck by lightning once when I was outside and washing my hands under a faucet. It wasn't even raining at the time. Lightning struck 100 yards away, traveled underground, fond the water pipes and came out of the faucet like a massive pack of sparklers on fire. Hit my hand but fortunately was able to react and pull it away before I was really hurt.

Since then I never turn a faucet on or talk on the phone when it's storming out. I never believe all the warnings about lightning but I'm a believer now

It was raining again here too, RR. Got about an inch since later yesterday. It really stormed hard last evening. Sky is gray now, but not sure if it will really rain.

Thought I had to put up meds, but found another week's container when I got out the medicine bin.

Here's dh. Now to tell him about the A T T bill. Editing: Well, that went well. Now have his phone but probably won't go in until after lunch. Here's hoping it's some mistake on their end. Dh doesn't even use the internet so there should be no overage charges there.

Good morning to all! I almost hate to report that this is a gorgeous day here! We had a front move through last night and temp is 67, humidity low and the sky is clear!

Downers:
-dd sent facebook message that her phone is dying. I think that either she doesn't take care of her things, or has some kind of karmic field that destroys electronics. Need to consult with dh on this.
-I got pulled into a lengthy discussion yesterday regarding the religious school interim director, who has perhaps overstepped, and was unprofessional/untactful at best.

Raining here, too. We had to walk the dog with umbrellas. She didn't seem to mind the rain.

Baked beans in the crockpot for the funeral luncheon. I need to get moving to find something to wear.
Foot is doing better - just twinges once in awhile.

MT: glad the foot is improving. I still stop every once in a while and marvel at not being in pain. I'm not always not in pain but am more often than in pain.

I've s2s and trimmed the cut flowers and rearranged. The church gave us the arrangement on Sunday for the open house and I had bought a bunch. Together they looked rich and abundant. I just divided them up again, the glads in one vase and the lilies (I think they are lilies) in another since the glads were too short now to look with the others.

The rain had stopped, the sun was out and then when I was dressed, the rain was back and we were in cloud. Sun has reappeared while I've been typing. Lovely changing view. The best was when we were in rain/mist/fog and downtown was in sunshine. I would have taken a photo but the rain was coming in too hard on the balcony.

Dh is doing a compile now so is wondering the apartment, looking for things to do. I need to get him busy with something.

Only partly done with that round....going around and round with dd via Facebook message. I also took out recycling, moved my car for ds to go out and several other things along the way....

This will finish a.m. routine I think.

I need a "pulling the hair out" smilie for messaging with dd. The thing is, she needs to take her phone to the store, have them lookup her insurance and find out what it takes to replace it.

wondering the apartment, looking for things to do. I need to get him busy with something.

This is my wondering about dh if he decides to retire. WHAT will he do? I can't even think of enough for him to do around here. Well, maybe. Know he'd probably work on the berm and his shed more, but he can only do so much of that. But very obviously the hard work in maintenance 'management' (meaning he does a great deal of the hard work), is getting too much for him. He's extremely tired every day.

In the more of the 'bad' news yesterday. Dh and DS-R decided to get dd's MH out of her camping space before rain came again. It got stuck so dh got the tractor and DS drove the MH. Unfortunately he had too much momentum and dh couldn't stop him and he hit the back ladder on the MH. Needless to say -it's toast. Dh went back to look at it again last night and figures on trying to get a new one for her. DS feels pretty awful. They probably should have left it, but then it rained another inch or so here after that.

I've finished the dishes and washed my hair, picked up the kitchen, dining room, living room. Also went through some maps, tourist pamphlets, etc and got rid of a bunch. Trying to minimize the things we put back into our new car.
