This morning I followed my hourly schedule and felt challenged but successful.

At noon I met a girlfriend at "Pie Guy" prayer luncheon. Afterwards, DH and I did a Sam's list buying stop. Then I visited DMom.

I laid down for 30 minutes until DDIL called and wanted to chat. They are traveling to spend a few days in Arkansas. They will be back home late friday night. DGS turns 8 on Saturday. We will make a one day trip to his party. DGS8 and LO will be doing indoor skydiving! :D I showed LO a youtube video of indoor skydiving and he is excited about doing it. We will come home after the party because DDIL & DGS8 fly out early the next morning for the rest of DGS8 birthday gift. He wants to see the Presidents at Mount Rushmore. They will arrive back home the day DGS8 starts school.

DH will attend church service tonight but LO and I are now on school schedule so we won't go. LO is doing very well without naps now, but I don't want to push it by getting him into bed late. Maybe in a few months he will be ready to stay up.

Next up -
** Clean up kitchen
** log dinner into MFP
** pay bills

I am struggling to stay up with phone calls. ARGH!!! Why don't people txt? ....not really expecting an answer......

I have list of 16 people to call back tomorrow while LO is in school. Dreading spending so much time on the phone.

Kitchen is cleaned up.

Tomorrow's meat is marinading. Salad dressing made and ingredients for the salad are ready. Packages of spices and chicken shake & bake ready to pack.

Need to buy ice cream, bread, corn and cereal tomorrow. Should write out the menu since I had forgotten the corn.

Just messaged TGF to bring warm clothes. Tomorrow will be in low 50's. Today was 76 so that's a big drop.

Fireworks will be starting in a few minutes.

I'm not on top of things but the laundry part is going well. Need to strip and remake the spare bed now, though, so we can put suitcases on it while we pack. Still not sure if dd is here on Friday for breakfast. I hope so since I bought a lot of breakfast meat.

Set up a movie and dinner with my minister friend. He couldn't come on Sunday and actually emailed me a 'wishing I was there' message and then again today to let me know he nearly ditched his event to come to mine. There's a movie called Calvary playing on the long weekend so he'll come and we'll drive with him to the theatre, watch the movie and then come back for dinner here. I'm hoping that this film will be as thought provoking as Boyhood. We weren't sure we liked the movie but we thought about it for days after so it was certainly worth going.

Lilac, it's nice to see you here. I'm sorry about your DH's Dsis.

Monday night I had a stomach ache most of the night - too much salad? So not much sleep, and not feeling great I slept most of the morning. Tuesday I slept in the evening and DH and I were both up in the night unable to sleep.

Anyway, I did get 4 hours this morning and then managed to get some stuff done. Usual paperwork, usual trip to the bank. Then I went to the library for the first time in many weeks.

Stopped at thrift store and bought 3 items. 2 fit now, 1 hopefully soon. I just checked them and all 3 have their original tags on, so brand new. I never buy anything that looks worn; this time I hit the jackpot with 3 new ones for under $12.00 including the tax!

I had some business things to do this evening and that took quite a while. But, it's off my mind now. DH is working steadily but it is hard on him. He is very tired when he comes home.

This is 10 years since hurricane Charley. A lot of stuff on tv about it today. DH and I reminisced about how much work we did then. He was doing roofs right after the hurricane, then we rebuilt as many places as we could. We repaired several buildings also. We built a house for someone who lost theirs but our addition we'd built remained. Right after that we built this house for us. And then the economy tanked. So it was quite an interesting 10 years.

I can't watch much news on tv. Too sad. I think we have all of Lauren B.'s movies on those tapes DH brought home.

Off to bed, sweet dreams everyone.

Harmony, I'm sorry about your sleep, but glad you got some, then got things done. Also, I'm happy you found some thrift shop finds and 2 fit. :D It's amazing all the work you and your DH did, after Hurricane Charlie, too. Wow. It's neat you have Lauren Bacall's movies, too.

I was thinking about focusing on a word for this year, like I did last year, but forgot on New Year's Eve, to come up with one. I was thinking about Debbie Macomber's non-fiction book "One Perfect Word." She focuses on 1 word each year, I read her book, but had forgotten or got side-tracked and didn't pick a word this year.

Then, something came to me.... I thought about "healthy" for my word, then, I thought about "breathe" for my word, but I remembered on TV news today, how they said aromatherapy affects us. They said that a couple of drops of essential lavender oil into a dish of water, is good to have when you put a washcloth in the water, wring it out and put it on your forehead or over your closed eyes, gently. The aromatherapy calms you. This is when the word "calm" hit me tonight. I thought if I could find this oil, do this instead of a 1/4-pill, which is sedating me, TOO, then naturally "calming" would be so much better. :!:

Also, if I cannot find the essential lavender oil, I do have the next best thing. Ddil, ♥, gave me a masque to Velcro on the back of my head, it has lavender in it, which is aromatherapy, too. I can use this, which is very nice to use, relaxing, and calming. In fact, I think I'll get it out, to lay next to my index card folder journal and to do list. It'll be a visual reminder tomorrow, to use it. DH will be gone several hours, I sometimes get a bit nervous, but have a great mystery-suspense movie to watch (NO WONDER I get nervous?) and I'll crochet, which is relaxing, during it, too. Then, when my movie's over, I'm planning to watch HG-TV, to see a remodel show, so I can listen to it and use my masque then, because I don't need to see every single solitary item they remodel, as I don't remodel. I just like to see the beginning mess they're in and then the end, to help celebrate all they did.

Hello again! I have been to the animal org meeting and got about 16 pages of notes I have to transcribe tomorrow. Big changes are afoot. On the way home, I dropped off some library books and hit the grocery store. When I arrived home, I took the trash from the curb into my newly openable garage! I have finished a job application and catbox cleanup. Now, I have to get meds into 6 cats! Fortunately easy. And I have to get stool samples from kittens YUCK!!! There is also a long list of stuff to do that is deferred to tomorrow. I should eat something too. See you tomorrow!
