It's quite cool here this morning. I want to go do a LOL but want it to warm up a bit first.
Really want to get in our storage unit and get something out to sort out. First have to finish sorting stuff we took out of our car -almost all little stuff. Already got rid of several maps, etc that we really don't need. Think our new car has a built in navigator so won't even need our G armin. Find myself looking each day to see if our money might be in place -not yet. Not supposed to be until Monday, but 'just in case'.
My engine light did finally go out a couple of days ago.I’m with you, Lady M. Hate having to make even ONE of those calls. Yesterday I managed to pay our car insurance over the phone. Then I drove into A T & T and managed to get that bill straightened out AND also got our bill LOWERED. The new amount was to be $145 + tax, etc (2 phones, unlimited texting, more minutes than we’ll ever use and 2G shared data). He managed to get it down to $117 + tax, etc. It’s been $126 for a long time. So happy with that. We don’t begin to use the data as we’re usually on wireless. I was exhausted!Dreading spending so much time on the phone.
It’s pretty cool here too, Kathryn. Was 62 in here when I got up. The furnace is running one round. DS-R & family are heading for Howe’s Caverns down near the Catskills today. Hope they take warm gear. I remember that as being the one place that DDad took us as kids. Only thing was when we got there no one had coats (it was quite warm out) and much cooler in the caves. So we never went.
It HAS been an interesting 10 years, Harmony. I was at DD’s in Lakeland for Charley along with DD, Shelley, our 2 dgks and a friend of Shelley’s, her dh and dson from north of Toronto. I had been staying with dbil/dsil those days, but he was so nervous about me staying there (they figured they’d have to go to the garage from their manufactured home) that I went over to DD’s. I still have the T shirt stating we ‘survived Charley’. DSonIL made us all shirts. DD still has trouble with their roof (it was redone after Charley as well.) DS-A and family flew in some time after that and was thinking there must have been a real buy on blue roofs. When he pulled up to DD’s & saw the blue tarps, he finally realized that that’s what they were.This is 10 years since hurricane Charley.
