-making lasage?
-dd's phone s/b shipped to house today, but dh has to somehow get number changed for her?
-dcleaning lady will be here soon! eeeeeek!

-empty dishwasher
-clear breakfast counter
-straighten GR
-quick breakfast

And now.... ... in honor of Robin Williams' choice of credit-roll music for his FABulous movie, The Birdcage, the Copacabana of Miami proudly presents...

Am up very late today -just sitting down to eat breakfast. Slept horribly, then overslept till 8:30 this morning. Now it's nearly 10. Should go do a LOL so that aspect of my week finishes strong. But I donwanna.

Was somewhat hoping the $$ for our car would be in our bank account today. Notta. They're supposed to be there on Monday, so hope that rings true.

So happy to see that the 2 girls who were abducted up near the St. Lawrence were found alive and well, albeit cold and wet. When they had looked for 24 hours was so afraid it would end badly. Of course the perpretators of this crime are still being sought. Have little doubt they'll find them.

Dh actually turned the heat on last night. Had more rain yesterday and there's supposed to be more through the weekend. Camping is actually more condensed than it's ever been. There's a band tomorrow night so that always brings in more campers. I'm so glad to have a permanent site, where we just stay all summer. And too, our park model is absolutely stationary and much more like a house.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread, Twins'Mom. Harriet, that Conga video was well worth sitting through the ad. :)

We have a niece's wedding tomorrow afternoon. I went shopping early last month and I thought I had a good outfit to wear. Tuesday night I learned from DSisIL that my outfit might not be formal enough. <sigh> At my size, it is very hard to find formal without ending up looking like the grandmother of the bride. :(

I went to my favorite consignment shop yesterday but did not have very good luck. I found a Tshirt to replace one that is grease-stained, a linen skirt that will be too casual for the wedding but was only $7 for a good classic style that I can wear from now through fall, and a very pretty skirt 1 size too small that I bought for motivation to keep exercising. Nothing for the wedding unless I stay up all night to alter the too-small skirt, not something I want to do.

This afternoon I will go to my favorite retail clothing store. I have a coupon that will expire soon. If I'm lucky, they will have gotten something new in this week that will work for the wedding. If nothing else, I can use the coupon for new pantyhose and/or tights.

Must do a few loads of laundry today. Also must check DH's best trousers and dress shirt to be sure they are clean and pressed.

But first, need to finish a stack of correspondence for the sewing group.
Need more coffee! ;)

(((Kathryn))) I'm sorry you are still having computer headaches. I hope today goes better so you can get packed for your trip. Is this one for vacation?

Oh, BookSaver, I'm so sorry for the shopping imperative. I do not like shopping imperatives! I like shopping to sneak up on me while on the way to something else and just SO happen to offer the perfect item with very little time spent! Otherwise, I'd rather be just about anywhere else. Is there some way to accessorize the outfit you planned to wear and make it seem more formal? Perhaps just a beaded soft jacket/shrug to purchase, rather than an entire outfit?

Hmmm... ... sorry about the ad - I only meant waiting through the "story" of the first part of the video, because I didn't get an ad. We had noticed all the Robin Williams movies that are playing now and yesterday got a chance to watch The Birdcage again, and just laughed and enjoyed it so much. At the end with the credits scrolling to Conga, dd spontaneously got up to dance and so I did, too, and taught a little about the difference in the steps/beat and 2/4 time, etc. (My mother used to do this with me and with my older children, insisting that we recognize the "time" of a music piece.)

So sorry to read in cardfile that blessed's dmother fell and broke her elbow outside blessed's house yesterday. It was blessed's ddyounger's birthday - she's about to leave for college. Hope your dmother feels better soon, blessed.

Was up early, s2s, shampooed, and did most of my morning routine.

Need to do LOL again, am waiting for a book to arrive in the mail, and it's dreary grey clouds again. Many places have drizzle.

Got all of my snail mail caught up last night.

Since this week's been productive, won't be working real hard today. Over did yesterday, so will not push, crash, and burn today. I want to relax more.

(((Kathryn))), Sorry about your computer problems.

Blessed, So sorry to hear about your Dmother's broken elbow.

(((Dee))), Sorry about your sleep. I hope you have a good day anyway.

Good Opener, Twins' Mom. :D

Waving to Harriet, MT and Nancy, those who come after me in posts, and have a Happy Friday! :D

Starting to load the car and shut down the apartment now. Well over an hour late getting off. Sigh...

Only 6.5 hours of driving time to our stop tonight so we'll make it by bedtime when you account for stops for dinner and stretches.

May not make it before dark, though.
