Re: Snoozin Sunday
I found my navy heather, short-sleeved sweater-cardigan set in my closet. I'd thought I donated it several months ago. It goes to show you how many clothes are "still" in my closet.
I wrote a thank you card, to the adult children of my 98-year-old BFF, for inviting us to the b-day garden dinner party. They had large round tables, each with a different floral umbrella, vintage cotton floral tablecloths on the tables and little vases, glasses, and jars with Dahlias in them, on each table. It was wonderful, too, because we were outdoors, could see the flowers in the flowerbeds, trees, nice lawn, and it was just all natural and nice.
I'm writing a letter to my cousin-in-law now, sending her 1 craft item with directions, 1 recipe for growing teenaged grandsons, and 1 do-ahead-on-Sundays time-saver kitchen tips for her and her adult DD with her own teenaged 3 sons and her DH. It's letter-writing/laundry day. I'm too sleepy to do much of anything else. We'd stayed up way too late last night, too. I got to sleep about 1 a.m. or later. I had to get an extra pillow, to prop myself up because of GERD, I had to get 1/2-pill for muscle back spasms, and changed into another nightgown, which was a cooler one. These things all took time, I woke up so sleepy, and with a killer headache, which has sense gone.

Yes Harriet sunny here again this Monday. The rainy weather we had last week is whipping up the south atm. There is a possibility its tail will circle back in a few day's time.
ddog is getting his teeth and nails done today. Lashed out and agreed to the blood tests as well to check all else is well.

Re: Snoozin Sunday
The last LOL is drying now, the laundry basket's empty, and since our cat inspects the basket and gets excited when she sees an empty one, she should be very happy!
DH vacuumed, cleaned the potty box, and fed the cat.
I made the bed, have been writing letters, and doing LOL.
I worked on my calendar, to put on more proactive health-exercise duties, along with a monthly goal date of the 15th every month.
My sweater set finally got dried.
I'll eat light for dinner, as am having GERD problems.
LadyM, Did LO have fun at the water spray park. Yes, it's always good for parents to keep an eye on their children. We were that way and DH still laughs about him holding DD's hand when crossing the street when she was 12!
Emptynester, You had a big day, the day of the funeral luncheon last week.
Harriet, Our children had very early daily wake-up calls because of an early bus, too. They got on it by 6:50 a.m., I recall. I hear you!
Kathryn, It's good your Duncle's doing well.

Re: Snoozin Sunday
LO did have fun at the water spray park. Although there was no children there! Very strange. We played catch with me throwing the ball into the water spraying and he would retrieve it laughing then toss it back to me to do again. Repeat about 100 times.....
I've cut LO nails and painted the yucky stuff on the nails he bit. I hope to nip this nail biting tendency before it gets totally established.
Two books read. It takes us about 30 minutes to read a book as he sounds out the words. Tonights books were Firehouse! and The adventures of Berenstain Bears.
LO is taking a bath now. That is another 30 minute task because he likes to lay back in the water and relax.

Re: Snoozin Sunday
Retrieved picture I took this morning of existing logo & wording on baptism towels. Send inquiry to embroidery shop about making another big order of them. They immediately replied affirmative. Have arraigned to purchase & deliver towels to them on Thursday and also pick up a previous order of license plates with church logo on them. Called and told DH so he can prepare checks to pay for baptism towel & license plates.
I'm done for the day.
Sweet dreams

Re: Snoozin Sunday
I have snoozed a LOT today -- after church -- and I am blaming it on allergy meds, mostly (and habit, to a large part, I'm sure) BUT -- I am finally beginning to feel a slight bit better so far as allergy symptoms go. Eyes are still pretty itchy, though.
AND -- I hope y'all see this when you sign in tomorrow -- I have to clarify something I said a long time ago -- it was in my self-motivational "Rules for Routines." I just noticed, the first thing on it says:
"S2S is not always necessary for you, but Shoes to Bra IS."
Please, y'all, believe me -- I do think (KNOW!!!) a S2S is DEFINITELY necessary at some point in the day. LOL!!! I was just telling myself that even if I did not S2S FIRST THING, b/c I was going to walk later w/dh or something, still, I could get my shoes on (and my bra, LOL) and be a productive citizen. If I put on my housecoat, the day is completely shot. Sometimes it is shot even if I DO put on shoes and a bra...
-- but y'all can rest assured, lazy as I am, I promise I DO bathe regularly!!!
I have a great burst of newfound motivation tonight, thanks to the book FF recommended: Hidden Treasures. It is just the story of two women working through Flylady's plan, but it is a very good read. I started it around 8:00 pm and I will probably finish it before I go to sleep.
Harriet, I would hate dd's school schedule, too. At my high school, students had to be there by 7:50, teachers by 7:25 (or 7:30, I can't remember which was the last rule -- it fluctuated) -- but even with living less than 2 miles from the school, I had to get up at 6:00 a.m. I hear that there are very strict requirements managing TEACHER tardies this year -- we used to just be on the honor system and sign in in a notebook when we arrived. Now they have to scan their ID cards and there are penalties beginning with the 3rd tardy. DH said some of them wouldn't make it a week without getting their penalties, LOL. (And he is probably right!)
I am so glad I am out of that. I miss my friends, but they are all rapidly retiring too, and every time I talk to one who's still in the trenches, I just think, Thank You, Lord...
I sometimes miss the feeling that what I am doing "matters" -- you know? You sometimes get such a rewarding feeling w/teaching, b/c you KNOW that you have touched someone's life for the good... but then I think, this is my season in life to touch dgs's life for the good. I have the time and energy to be a great help to ds and ddil, and -- thinking back on how much my grandparents meant to me -- I do think this is my "purpose" right now. Plus being available to dh and dmom, without being pulled in twenty other directions.
Tuesday, I have to take dmom for an endoscopy.
Friday-Saturday, dh & I will be going to a bluegrass festival.
Life is good.
So -- I am still struggling to put the pieces together -- to figure out HOW in the WORLD to do that Weekly Home Blessing w/the crazy schedule we keep around here... but I am SLOWLY getting better at the morning and bedtime routines... so... maybe there's hope for me yet?
Waving to ALL!!! DH wants the computer back.

Re: Snoozin Sunday
I wish I was snoozing.
Went to RI chat and found I could download one of their original books. I could only save it as a picture file.
Went to support support group.
Dog is picked up from vet. Blood tests show liver problem ?? So I'm glad I asked for those.
However $545 on top of grooming fee last week.. teeth cleaned and nails. umm. And those A/rear glands. I'm needing to collect urine sample. I will try to dash out with him in the morning. I doubt either of us will be amused or thrilled with being in each others space.
I've had dinner early today. Made a double serve last night, and beefed it up with an extra baby carrot and handful of cos lettuce leaves as desert???.
Hoping for an early night. Its up to me to get myself there.
