Hmmm... ... but 13 hours overnight without food is pretty common for anyone, isn't it? Like 7:00 p.m. supper and then having breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Maybe you didn't get much of a supper last night, FFriend, and you were going on a calorie deficit? Hope you are not coming down with something. Also make sure you are hydrated.

How ideal for dd18, helia, to have big brother just 3 blocks away, just in case. Also a built-in friend. And a few introductions to big brother of suitable female friends she meets wouldn't be such a bad idea, either. May dd meet people a lot like her - and then she will have great friends.

BookSaver, I meant to tell you dd here enjoyed that video you posted "All About That Bass".

What a difference becoming an upper-class(wo)man makes.

Dd had a power first day as a seasoned artsy-cool Junior. Her day was all compliments and hugs. What she wore was admired as the ideal - wow - (last year's jeans and a wildlife tee?). Lunch shared with friends of all grades at an eclectic table. The frantic freshmen who happen to know her (and some who stumbled into her) are pulled into the group because dd SAYS SO, instant friends with the older ones she knows, assigned to compare schedules with those dd determines can help with confusions. "You're with us. Sit here."

Oh and the famous Mean Girls of 2012? My, my, my - why, they seem to have dispersed from their table-ownership, their pseudo-friendships all wrecked now by infighting. Tsk, tsk, tsk. That is just a shame, isn't it?

Peeking in from Edmundston, New Brunswick.

The day went very well. We left White Point only 7 minutes after our goal time (compare that to two hours when we left Ottawa!)

Arrived at the diner while ds and TGF were cleaning out the car. Apparently, they failed to dump the garbage from the trip down, then didn't use the car for 6 days so it sat in the sun, breeding flies. Luckily, the rental has a sunroof and they managed to blow a good portion of them out on the highway!

We called Unc from the diner but he couldn't understand 'sick' so we went over anyway and he insisted we come in but not hug him. Done. Just visited for a few minutes and headed off.

Ds caught up with me on the highway after an hour and then I lost him at the NS/NB border. We stopped for gas and pee. He had to stop to pick up his licence from the motel (they took a copy and forgot to give him the original back when he checked in on the way down and he didn't realize it until the diner on the way to White Point - 2 hours away.)

I had driven the first shift while dh slept. Then I slept while dh drove. He didn't want to switch again after 2 hours and I didn't have to pee so we pushed on to the hotel, checked in and then headed off to a local pub for dinner. Texted ds and at that point they were 12 miles behind us so they joined us for dinner and then came back to the hotel. We gassed up again (gas is cheaper in this province than either NS or Quebec) and by the time we were back at the hotel, they had unloaded their car and had lights out. Not sure what time they plan to leave in the morning but I don't plan to rush out of here. It is only 7.5 hours to home, so even with stops we'll be here by dinner time, body time if we leave at 9. Avoiding rush hour around Montreal is no longer an issue since they built a new highway avoiding the city completely.

Off to bed now.

My throat is a bit sore, glands a bit swollen, just feel yucky and know more is on its way. At least dh is on the mend now (and ds too, since he's the only one allowed to drive the rental car.)

You know, LadyM -- I noticed that armed guard at the ss office when dh got his set up. Why is that? And it was sooo quiet in there, like a library. And did they have a sign up saying no cell phones? Seems like they did... it was kinda nerve-wracking, now that I think of it.

I feel sorta frustrated with my day. On one hand, it's been fairly successful:
* walked 1 mile
* Wmart
* got pictures taken care of (transferred from camera to computer, etc)
* got church minutes typed/emailed
* watered hydrangeas
... But OTOH...
I haven't even s/s toilets... or started the WHB, which was my plan upon awakening... and lots of other things I meant to do earlier, and now I'm tired again. And I had a nap after supper. :roll:
Tomorrow is another day.

I felt fine all day, except for morning shakiness. I'm not sick. :)

I read Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street Series book "Hannah's List," in my browser today/tonight, until I finished it. :mrgreen: It was very good! ♥

I did 2 LOL, DH did pruning, and I wrote a grocery list for tomorrow and crocheted 1 potholder; next, I'll do the mate. :idea:

DH will get his U of W attire for his Dfriend's funeral tomorrow, at Sears. He'll look to see if they have Covington size 16-W black slacks for me. They usually have good sales going on in the women's dept. there, so I'm hoping some slacks will be on sale. I have a black blazer, but the matching plain 16 pants are too snug in the waist and cut in the crotch and seat of the pants. :oops: :o I need the extra "room". :idea:

I'm having occasional fevers because of my upcoming root canal in another week. My dentist will probably put me on antibiotics again, too, and have me double-up on probiotics.

I marches 15 minutes, did 15 minutes of standing yoga stretches and walked 10 minutes, ate healthy, and did the LOL, so I got in plenty of activity today. And stuck to my diet, too. :mrgreen:
