Ironing is done. Laundry is almost finished.

Sleepy right now so need to eat something and then get the grocery shopping done. Dh and I gathered up the recycle and garbage so that's out of the apartment. Next up is a big load of things to donate. They are in the grocery cart, ready to take to the car. There's a thrift store near where I'm running errands today so I'm all set to get more things out of here.

The more that leaves here, the more I'll be able to take from the house. The lawn mower and extension ladder are now spoken for so that's two big items off my plate. My goal is to get things settled to the point where we can just help ds with rent on a larger apartment and store the excess of our things in the second bedroom. We will have to get a key to his place but then we'll be set.

Getting ready to head out myself. Going to pick up some embroidered shirts for DS-A's new man who's doing contract work. I'd rather not 'know' these things. Hope he's paying off -making $$ for his time. DS's company has really become much larger and I'm sure glad I'm not doing the paperwork -haven't for several years now. Know he bought a barn outside of town to keep all his equipment. Still has steel barn with a truck lift and does work on equipment there. Has a friend who's a mechanic who does all that for him. More money going out than I'd even want to think about. He actually wants ddil#2 to quit her job and just do his office work and some landscaping as she wants. Her job is terminal anyway. As I understand it $$ for research have dried up a lot and many employees who have worked even 25/30 years will be losing their jobs as each project finishes up.

I'm getting a slow start to my morning. I needed to get Icy Hot Roll-On on my back a. s. a. p., so no s2s, but I DID shower last night! I had a rough a.m., but it's better now. Got a dozen crafting magazines all ready to donate to the library.

Need to do:
- Wipe QVAR canister (every Fri. a.m.) and use QVAR
- Do Peak Flow Meter
- Start white LOL, later do dark LOL, and later, do sheets, make the bed fresh
- Need to fix my hair, dress, and get out of my lounge pants outfit
- Would love to dust the house, every room, today (except bathrooms.)
- Want to fly and get the toilets all washed, trash dumped
- It'd be delightful to write some letters... AND....

Today- My right wrist does NOT hurt, so I can write as much as I want on letters and in journals AND crochet! ♥ It's nice to wake up without that aggravating pain. I used my wrist brace yesterday, it helped so much and a good night's sleep.

Since I had new tear duct plugs put in yesterday, in the middle of the night, in my dream, I was talking to people in my dream, telling them, "Oh, you'll LOVE your new tear duct plugs! I got them, too!" And I'd wake up, blink and blink, then fall back to sleep! This happened for about 1 hour in the night! Finally, I got up, put in some eye gel, because my eyes were dry again, and then slept like a LAMB!

Dee, I hope the embroidered shirts are awesome-looking, too! Dee, your DH is FUNNY! He makes you sound like a real witch flying on your broom!

Feline Friend, where do tear duct plugs actually go? I've never heard of them.

Kathryn, you are really flying today. I don't envy you, I couldn't do it - but I know you can! I'll bet the view today with the balloons is spectacular.

I flew out of here to get supplies and help move trucks then back to a pile(s) of work at the desk. It is the last day of the week (payroll) and last work day of the month and I hate when it falls like that, makes more work for me and I have to wait till the end of the day for some. Some of it's done, not all.

I am still really ill, weak and nauseous. I think some of that is side effects of Rx. Boy I sure need a nap. All 3 of my meds say drowsiness is a side effect.

2nd LOL from yesterday is in the dryer and some hung up. I'm back in pajamas, much more comfortable! At least I don't have to work in an office somewhere, I'd never be able to dress like this!

Hi everyone!

Relaxing with a cup of tea after a busy morning. Dh left early to go fishing with a friend. I went to the bank & post office, bought bagels & cat food, quick stop at T arget, then drove out to the farm stand for more tomatos, corn & cantalope. Once home I threw in the last leftover load of laundry, sliced & frozed half the bagels, & cut up the cantalope. ( I also sampled a slice --yum! )

The house is in good shape but vacuuming wouldn't hurt. I love ddog but she sure is a hair shedding machine! After doing a lot of mini-jobs this week, it is nice to have all those nagging to-do thoughts off my mind. That is another one of Pam & Peggy's ideas that has been useful to me over the years -- mini jobs that take 10 minutes or less. I feel well prepared now for the weekend & for a new month. (I even read the September chapter in P&P's Happiness File book for inspiration a few nights ago ).

Dh & I stopped in at some outlet stores on the way home from our friends house the other day. It was a beautiful sunny day, & most people were wearing shorts or capris, summery tops & sandals, enjoying the nice weather. The first clothing store I walked into made me stop short just a few steps in -- there were fall & winter clothes on every rack. Dark colors, heavy knits, long sleeves, etc. I know I shouldn't be surprised , but I was! When I was in M ichaels recently some of the aisles were already full of Christmas items & I walked by them fast, telling my self I wasn't ready for that yet !

My timer just went off. Time to put clothes in the dryer, then have lunch. I think I'll make up a plate of sliced tomatos & mozz cheese, with a scoop of egg salad on the side.

While I was outside saw a large jet flying over head getting ready to land at the airport not too far wondering if it had a collage football team on board.
Saw it while I was out doing yd. Work off the ladder now and I am working on getting what I pruned picked up. This mo. I do not have dgkids here toddlerN is here she is fun and good most of the time.

I need to work on some imside stuff. We found some baby doll clothes and put them on the baby doll.

Trailer is nearly ready to haul off the next load.

My errands went smoothly. It is wonderful to have another large box and a small box out of the dining room (plus two boxes from the garage at home - the 'wagon' part of the car was full.)

Walmart returns were smooth as always. The grocery store had everything I went for although I had to wait for a bit while they cut me a big roast. They are on sale this week so I saved $30 on the roast (but spent it on 2 others to keep in the freezer.)

Picked up corn on the way home from a roadside stand (a farmer out in our area has stands in the city) and got home as fast as possible due to ice cream in the car and hot temps outside. Eating out on the balcony will be a distinct option as long as ds brings the card table. As a result, I'm holding off on setting the table and have washed up all the dishes. I don't mind using my Corelle on the balcony but I'm not keen on my bone china out there!

Made up brownies for the dessert, washing the dishes while they baked. Popped the roast in the oven and then took a 15 minute break. Have just finished the sweeping and mopping (had to do the kitchen floor, it was disgusting from all the mess we made while doing the big waffle breakfast the day we left.) It looks way better now. I have a Vileda mop and bucket and we finally moved it here this week. The difference in mopping time vs a B-mop is amazing. Probably half as long and dries faster. So that will help me like the kitchen more (it still felt too big to clean because the B-mop was taking forever.)

I'm taking another break while dh peels potatoes for me. I still have paperwork to stash but I'm almost ready for guests.

I have a bouquet of balloons on the table and a Happy Birthday sign over the door from the dining room to living room (I'll put ds facing it if we eat in there.) There are sparklers and a Happy Birthday sign for the brownies. So I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

Foot is getting quite sore so I need to cut myself some resting time now.

Wishing an enjoyable weekend to Helia and Twins' Mom. It was good to hear that MT had a nice time at church camp.

Nancy, I'm glad your A1C was good. My dh's is usually in the 6. range and his b.s. is usually in the 80s to 90s in the mornings. It is good to know just what is best for one's own body!

Harriet, good work on meeting your Aug. exercise goals!

FFriend, I'm glad your eye apt. was good. Your eye glasses pendant sounds interesting.

RRose, I like Basic Editions brand clothes also. I found Cobbie Cuddlers shoes are the most comfortable for me, and KMart is the only place around here I can find them.

Had a nice talk with dsis yesterday. Also saw ds#2 --- he stopped on his way home from work to do a quick mow and trim of the front yard. This morning dh picked up the fallen limbs from the front and back and got them packed in the trash barrels for pick up tomorrow.

I got about half my weekly cleaning done, will finish up tomorrow morning. Don't know yet if we will see dfam#1 tomorrow afternoon. They were supposed to come last week, but never made it. I'll be surprised if they come tomorrow.

Anyway...dinner is done and kitchen cleaned up. I have time to read for a while.

Happy Birthday to Kathryn's ds. Wish that watching the balloon lift-offs could have worked out!

Sunny's mention of shoes reminds me of one more help I've had with concrete-floor worry - wearing shoes that have memory foam does seem to help.

Dd34 called with the 2-month check-up report from the baby. He is healthy and happy, very strong. True to the predictions she heard during the pregnancy, he continues, so far, as her tallest child.

She and I are a little anxious to learn that both her older boys are in combined classrooms - DangerBoy8 in 3rd grade is in a combined 3rd/4th and WonderBoy in 1st grade is in a combined K/1st. I see a lot of possibility for problems in different directions. DangerBoy wears hearing aids, for instance, and so far has been well-accepted in school, but I question the double challenge of trying to learn older children's/4th grade ways early (social interactions) while trying to function in a class that may have tough academics. And the first grade year is a huge step forward through the primary grades that is supposed to move away from the K "start" concept, so I worry WonderBoy will have a place-holding year rather than progress.

They had thought they would be here this weekend, but dsil's company changed plans and he will be needed over the weekend after all.
