BTW: how many people have actually picked up the phone and told her, person to person, how they feel about her FB activity? She doesn't know she's annoying anyone until people TALK (not type) to her about it.
It was a comment I made on FB to one of dd's friends that made her cry today when we were on the phone. Her friend had written a wonderful 'status' update on what her 4 year old is like as she heads off to school. That was hard enough on dd, but my comment that it was so lovely it made me cry, made her feel bad because she wasn't giving me grandkids. It wasn't the fact that I have no grandkids that made me cry, it was thinking about how much I miss my 'little' children now that they are grown up. I like & love my kids now but I miss how they were, as well. I didn't write any of that so dd misconstrued why her friend's comment made me cry.
BTW: this is the bit that makes me cry:
Isn't that just the sweetest thing and doesn't it remind you of times when your little ones melted your hearts?A couple of times this summer when I wished on a dandelion, I wished out loud "that my kids would be happy and healthy and love me forever". Weeks later, we were lying in bed before sleep time, and she turns to me out of the blue and says "mommy, I will always love you forever, you don't have to wish for it."
Still waiting to hear if I have a meeting today. I just realized that I wasn't sure.
In the meantime, I updated quicken and paid bills so I made some progress.
