Ta-Dah Tuesday

Good morning! I am not usually here in the mornings. Most often, I am up, just taking care of various things. What has been taken care of so far: cat care, me care, dishwasher running, LOL running. I am dressed, but not to lace up shoes. My thumbs are sore and the thought of tying shoes fails to appeal. When I leave the house, it will be in Tevas. I am somewhat behind my schedule due to thumb slowness. I have taken Tylenol and they are getting better. I feel like such a whiner - there is a girl at our church who was born with NO thumbs. However, I have to remember that does not make my problem go away, but I will remember to include her in prayers tonight. Or better yet, NOW. Excuse me.

Done. Why should I risk forgetting? Time for job search activities. I will write up the phone interview from yesterday, work on the paperwork she sent me, work on my 'pending' list, and search for some other software companies.

Ta-Dah:

- made our bed
- put dirty laundry in the utility room laundry basket
- put master bathroom rugs into the washer and started them washing
- had QT, journal wrote, etc...
- wrote 1 letter and finished it
- had to use rescue inhaler, so read the instructions first, as it's a different one than my last one
- cried over our dfriends being sent to the nursing home. We've known them since 1975.
- talked it over, about our dfriends, with DH, and he just said it's life, is all, people go to homes, there are deaths, strokes, and stuff like this is out of our control. It was nice to talk to him
- had breakfast, meds, supplements, and coffee
- hung up my nightgown from last night
- put wipers out

DH's Ta-Dah:

- he made out the charge card bill
- he swept and mopped the master bathroom floors
- he took out recycle
- he made the coffee this morning
- he gave our kitty cat some morning treats

Kitty Cat's not been eating her dinner, 1/2-canned cat food. We feel we've given her too many treats at mail-time, so we're going to cut back on the amount we give her, to see if that'll work. She eats dry cat food, too. She looks like she's put on 1 - 2 Lbs., but it's hard to say because of Autumn approaching. But her belly looks chubbier, to me.

The weather report said it'll be 65* and cloudy, yet dry, here today. Some sun breaks have arrived though, which is uplifting.

Have a great day, Everyone! This is just a quick C. I. because I need to work today. I'm getting a late start to my day, too. I'm now wondering, since I'm having some muscle spasms (today just is NOT my day!), of starting work at 1 p.m., after lunch instead. I can work on and off into the evening, too. That's 1 great thing about working from the home office. But on the other hand, you can tend to put things off, to the last minute, which isn't good either.

Hello dear ladies,

Warm but not hot here.

My Ta-Dah is sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor and entryway. Sweeping bothers my shoulder but the mopping doesn't. It hurts while I'm sweeping but feels a lot better once I've done it and stopped. Cleaned my desk off, it seems to attract lots of things that need to go other places.

Dson-18 woke DH and I up last night with pains in his head. We checked his Blood Pressure which was a little high. His heart rate was fine. Temp was fine. It was 3o'clock in the morning and I knew if we took him to ER we would be sitting there for hours. So he took some Advil and I told to just lay as still as he could. Then DH took him to the Urgent Care at 7 o'clock. He has a very bad ear infection. Gave him anti-biotics and told him to rest--just what he really wanted to hear.

DH is out doing service call. Dson-24 is working on one of our vans, looks it is "sick" too. Dson-23 text me to say he is doing great at his new job.

The dw needs to be unloaded and then think I will read for a bit.

Glad that DS's problem was found fairly quickly and treatable, Sadie. Sure he didn't need that.

Gotten quite cloudy. Dh is up taking his shower. We'll leave soon to meet dfriends for dinner about 22 miles from here. Plan on a W mart stop afterwards to pick up bananas and a notebook for him. He likes the one I got to put in the car. Will work well for him on the job. Hope I can find one like it at this W mart. Bought mine 22 miles in the opposite direction from our place. No place is very close for us.

Speaking of whom -he's back. That WAS fast! Going out for Chinese -haven't done that in a few years.

One of the DPCs turned out not to be so D after all. There was an inquiry about dFosterCat14!!! They wanted to know what her special needs were. The 'special' stuff is that she is 14yo and has a sensitive stomach, but does not need a prescription diet. She is somewhat underweight, but vet visits have not resulted in a diagnosis of anything wrong. Perhaps FelineFriend's KittyCat could give her a weight transplant?

I have 30 minutes before picking up DD12 for Girls' Night Out, so I will do some fast job search stuff. DD and I will be joining DeeClutter for Chinese (like we do every Tuesday almost).

Thiis a.m. I got a text that toddlerN was not coming today so I had the day off so I have been working on laundry and weeding the side yard and cleaning up the back yard. Making progress feels good. Yea!

I had a nice round of body work. Hoping that my hips and back are better. Afterward was sleepy (no wonder!) so went across the street to get a latte and just hang out for a bit. Talked to dd on phone - she is actually ready to sign up for a Birthright trip to Israel (finally!) and then talked to her again just now about it. Oy. She could keep me on the phone forever while she mumbles and "tries to see if her registration went through." Walked through a very nice gift/decorating type of shop - love all their stuff but sooooo expensive. But still love to look.

I am trying to get going again...I had a full head of momentum going earlier and now I feel pretty mellow. Dh has an evening meeting again so I should have some time if I can get moving

-start a lol of delicates
-feed the long suffering dogs
-clear/file papers which I pulled out while sorting papers earlier - put them away....
-15 min upstairs in ds' room
-fold and put away two loads laundryf

Ta-Dah:

- sorted the mail, but not had time to read it yet
- napped 1 hour in the recliner; had muscle spasms, took 1/2 pill for it and was out like a light bulb.
- wrote and sent off a Dec. short story.
- wrote an email to a relative in Aurora, CO where the National news says so many kids are ill with that virus now.
- worked on calendar reminders.
- took allergy med and Fisherman's Cough Drop for headache, scratchy throat...
- washed darks/jeans, which are drying now...
- whites/pastels are washing.
- washed the master bathroom rugs.
- sanitized my washer with a square thing called Allfresh, which came with the washer. It's a top-loader with front-loader technology.

DH Ta-Dah:

- he got the mail
- he swept, mopped the master bathroom and put the rugs back on the bathroom floor
- he gave Kitty Cat mail treats, but fewer than we've been giving to her, so she'll eat her dinner tonight.
- he will help with dry laundry, to put things away....

DH to-do:

- he will feed Kitty Cat her dinner...
- he will cook dinner....
- he MIGHT clean the potty box.

My to-do:

- write Wed.'s to-do list
- set dawn simulator
- write a list for Dr./get medications/supplement list done for him
- get out clothes
- finish lol
- re-read next story to log
- work on snail mail
- crochet and read
- run scans

I enjoyed the story so much because it was based on fact, about a couple we used to know, only I changed the facts and added a pregnancy. It was fun.

Hi everyone! I've just realized the last few nights it's been getting dark earlier, and with the clouds we've had in the evening it is more noticeable. We had a rain shower this afternoon which cooled the air a little, but humidity is still high.

Ta-Dahs today included routine dailys, moved small appliances and cleaned the counters, discarded outdated food from the fridge, washed dogs food and water bowls, made a grocery list for errand day (probably tomorrow), made a copy of the car registration and a little desk work. Not as much done as Twins' and others here, but I did some general puttering room by room also. Oh, and I watched a live video on-line from Quilt in a Day - Eleanor Burns.

Dh appreciated all the birthday wishes and says "thank you!". Harmony, no apology needed....dh says he will be 75 for the whole year, not just on the one day! I just wish you were feeling better.

I had a text from my dcousin - she and her dh are starting their drive home from Alaska and will be here in 12 days or so.

We have another extra early morning tomorrow. Ds#2 just called and asked if we could take dgd12 to school. Dgd19 has classes early and dgraunt evidently is still sick with laryngitis. I had mentioned that ddil and ds don't want dgd walking to school, even though it is only about 4 blocks. She had found out that there was a convicted child predator living somewhere between them and the school and just doesn't want dgd to be alone.

I was interrupted a few times since starting this post by phone call from ds, ddogs wanting their 8 pm treat and multi texts from ds....he wants to talk baseball (he's watching the Rays/N.Y. game), so now I have the game on tv....and I've lost my train of thought. I'm going to sit back and relax and watch the game!

What I've accomplished today? Ummmm... ...

So much driving, for sure. Got dd to school for the first period, then picked her up again for appt. Dr prescribed an antibiotic, just in case. But schools won't allow any meds without quite a bit of paperwork. So when I got dd back to school she asked for the paperwork, then after school I drove her back to Dr.'s office with it, where she and I signed it. But Dr had already gone for the day. Still, they can fax it tomorrow morning. Then off to the drug store for the prescription itself, but an alert clerk noticed we were paying too much, so we waited while they re-submitted to insurance, thank goodness. (big difference) Then finally home again. A long set of travels.

Is it any wonder I'm glad we didn't send her to the faraway school campus.

The Dr.'s appt was quite pleasant. She enjoys him so much. He is so personable. I told him today it has been a pleasure to have a child grow up liking her dr so much. That isn't always the case. With ds29, it was the terrible experiences at his pediatric dentist that made him so suspicious of drs. Then during his teen years, we had to change drs so often because they kept getting upset with the hospital authority and jumping ship.

I stayed out with the chickens hunting bugs a while. The Evening Daily Card is done well.
