By all accounts, George Hamilton was just as kind and good off-stage as he was on, a person who truly lived out his Christian faith. I believe Wikipedia says he traveled to England w/Billy Graham on one of his crusades. He was one of my favorites and I love that song I mentioned -- not one of his big hits, but well worth your time to listen to.

My time, which has never been well-managed (especially since retirement) has REALLY been a lost cause this week. Of course, I knew it was going to be a busy week. Today, ds came over to run, and he & dgs probably took up about an hour and a half of my day -- of course, I walked, also -- and then I had time to read the paper, s2s, talk to dmom, and get supper before our ballgame started on tv. We won, btw, but it was not pretty, LOL. Dmom's SUV was not ready at the shop yet, so that errand was not needed. She was disappointed that I did not get to town to get her "chocolate cobbler" from local restaurant. *sigh*
She said she needed it like she needed another hole in her head, but she does love it, and Thursday is the only day they have it. Maybe I can surprise her one day with it. But the restaurant closes at 2:00 pm, and y'all know me -- unless an appt has forced me out of the house before then, there is no way I'm going to be s2s and ready to meet the world -- especially if ds is able to come over and run/walk with me. Our crazy schedule is just not really compatible with the rest of the world.

Probably a good thing that you are beginning to taper off that med, FF... hope you don't have too much trouble w/side effects. If I try to taper off Paxil, I start having crying spells. Otherwise, besides the weight gain and sleepiness, I have had no problems at all taking it, and since I have only taken 5 mg per day for 12 years, I don't believe I can be taking enough to be harmful.

Certainly did not stick to any eating plan around here tonight. Supper was pizza.

Lessons learned... I'm also trying to keep Harriet's dmom's advice high in my mind: Just because someone needs to be told something, that doesn't mean you have to be the one to tell them. I love that so much... and I need to remember it so often!!!
Cleaning WITH children is also a principal that I missed TOTALLY... but I'm trying to work on it w/dgs, and I think ds & ddil are, too.

(((BIG, BIG HUGS))) for (((LO))) and (((LadyM))) and (((Mr. M)))... I cannot even imagine how troublesome this all must be, and how eager you all are to put it in the "distant memory" category!

And yes, so glad to hear Mr. Harmony got good diagnosis. And glad to hear MT is doing well.

That reminds me -- my duncle -- ddad's brother -- didn't get such good news today. He found out he does have prostate cancer, and it is slightly more advanced than ddad's was when diagnosed. However -- dmom reports that duncle seems in good spirits (as well as he ever is, of course) and doctors seem hopeful that surgery will take care of everything. Doctor said sometimes a "floater" might be discovered somewhere, that wasn't removed in surgery, but this could take 10 years to cause further problems. Duncle told doctor he didn't expect to be around ten years from now. (I know that's kind of depressing to think about, but I guess duncle is considering that neither of his parents nor his older brother lived past mid 80s.)

So glad you got your car back, Elizabeth!!!

Waving to ALL!!!
Tomorrow is another day.
