Kathryn, I hope it works out okay for your DH.

I was "surprised" when I came here at 2:07 p.m. and noticed NO PWYC for Saturday. I knew "something" had to be up, and of course, it was or had been.

Tomorrow will be 72* where DD lives and the drive down here, for her and DGS will be so nice for them. I'm glad it's not nasty rain and wind this weekend, like it's been all week. It'll be 74* for us here tomorrow, which means we might take a walk or sit outdoors after lunch, too.

I'm awaiting the next to last episode of "Cedar Cove," on the Hallmark Channel to come on. It's Debbie Macomber's series, based on her books. The scenes are so gorgeous, filmed in B. C., I believe. Oh, wow. It's so picturesque. It's supposedly to be centered in WA State on the coast, but in B. C. there are NO Olympic Mountain Ranges. Also, "heard" there are no views of the Bremerton Naval Shipyards, like in the "real" Cedar Cove, here. But what they DO have, I absolutely LOVE. It's so beautiful and peaceful to see. Next Saturday's the Season Finale and they say it'll be quite the show!

Errands x farmers mkt & w mart Rx got info. From pharmacy basically said to do what I am doing until
I figure out how it works for me and how long. For some folks it lasts 24 hrs.

Ex = hauling off branches.
Dgd is still here her fam. Went to a memorial service. Dsis son got married today.

Lynlee, nice taichi news. Hope you found inclusiveness. Lynlee, you had mentioned taking time to state things so that others here will understand. I just wanted to tell you that I never think it's any hardship on me to slow down reading to catch the meanings in your posts, because you are interesting and, hey, it's pleasant to think you write to us in the way you would speak to a neighbor. It's real. Real is good.

I neglected to tell ya'll that our family are the Angel Tree Coordinators for our church this year. The box with materials has arrived. Whoa. There is a lot more to this than I understood. We will need to pick the minister's brain to be sure of everything the church expects. We were going to volunteer to gather/take any Christmas Child boxes to the shipping place this year, too, but now that I see all this, I believe we'll just stick with one job and try to do it right. I think I remember that any angels not returned with gifts become the responsibility of the coordinator to fulfill. I hope everyone will be conscientious, because HRH will worry terribly over any child left out and try to do too much.

Harriet, that Angel Tree is quite a big undertaking. I hope yours goes smoothly. I've participated in the past. One year they were begging people to take names. We get an awful lot of charity ministries going this time of year. We have an advent thing, we donate to food baskets, we do the Angel Tree and the Shoebox ministries, and we collect gifts for needy kids / families. We collect coins in cups, last couple years we sent water treatment filter systems to Africa with the money. It's a lot. I hope all your gifts get returned.

Dinner really turned out deliciously. Brisket with veggies in the crockpot. Very tender. I think I might make some for my friend who just came home from the hospital.

DH cut the grass in the drizzle just to get it done.

Harmony, Your dinner DID sound delicious! I bet your dfriend who came home from the hospital will welcome a nice dinner, from you, too.

Lynlee, I love your posts. I think it's neat that they're from Australia, too, and I'm always trying to "guess" what time it is there, what your weather's like when you post, etc...

Nancy, That's great you hauled branches and talked to the pharmacy, too.

Kathryn, You've had a mighty busy day and productive one, too! I read there is a difference between being just busy and productive.

Dee, Why do they do trick or treating there on September 27th instead of on Halloween? I've never heard of that before, anywhere, or from pen pals either. I'm glad the weather was nice, too!

The house is clean. I only need to dust the kitchen window sills, clean the dish drainer pad, and clean kitchen counters. I can do that in the morning, when DH dusts the TV and TV stand in the GR8 room. It's so nice to have the house dusted, dust mopped, vacuumed, trash dumped, toilets clean, dining room table set up, my end table tidied so I can actually see the wood on the top of it, and be able to relax, sit back and enjoy the weekend, too.

My office display card, for tomorrow says "SIMPLE SUNDAY." What I mean by that, is relax, keep "things" simple and go easy on myself. I want to thoroughly enjoy DD and DGS tomorrow.

Back from fundraiser luncheon. Moneys for Philippines - last years hurricane recover was this years project. Last year's 'operation smile' to treat cleft pallet babies and children project was reported on. Yes there was room for me at the table. Father and another friend sat there too. Met up with parents of dd1's friend from girl guides. And dd2's HS friend's mother is part of the tai chi crowd, but came too late to get on our table. Well - she sat with some of her family. I wish I had dd2's talent, who unbeknown to us taught herself to lipread at 4yo. (I didn't know of her intermittent deafness) The room was very noisy to hear much beyond the people beside me. I left about 3 - my head ringing with noise.
I need get myself back to testing and most likely take up the offer of hearing aids this time. But then - there is a lot of bits of me that needs check ups.

Weather report. inside its 24C75F at just after 4pm. Its been sunny, with clouds, and clouds are building up to the south. Maybe there will be an afternoon storm somewhere? Nothing is imminent, dog is waiting for his walk. I'll wear a light weight cardigan as the breeze will annoy me.
