Monday moving
All right, get moving!!!
Since I tend to take everything literally, I'll move ds into his new apartment today.
You all might want to literally move, shaking your booties as you go through the day.
Or you might choose to move paperwork from your figurative In Tray to its Out Tray (or better yet, properly filed.)
Or you might choose to take the first steps to move yourself in a new direction: balance the chequebook to get yourself on a new financial path, sign up at the gym, check out a book to help you improve a part of your life that needs improvement, or make the first move in repairing relationships.
Whatever kind of move you choose to do, get moving!!!

Re: Monday moving
To answer FF's question last night about what happens to older purses in my house:
1. I often wear them out so they go in the garbage
2. I hoard them for a while
3. I donate them
I have a purse/wallet/luggage fetish (to the point that I can't walk into a luggage store) so I love to have beautiful (to me) bags. But I only use one at time, usually for the whole season and try to have only 3 of 4 at any given time. Except for evening bags (I have 5 of those but then again, I have the place to use them while on the ship.)
I have a carry-on tote bag from the employer where I met dh and that is my limit. If my purses and wallets don't fit into that, then something has to go. During the move, I discovered it was quite overflowing so several went. Unfortunately, the shelf in the garage often has purses on it, so I have added three to my collection since arriving here, and truth be told, that tote bag is overflowing one more.
I may be able to avoid going into luggage shops but I can't avoid walking past that shelf so it might be my downfall. On the bright side, it makes it easier to practice one-in, one-out since, when I put away the purse, I could just carry another one back down to the shelf.

Re: Monday moving
First up is to be able to move my right hand.
I've been up for about 45 minutes and am still trying to shake/move some better movement in that hand. It was asleep and very painful all at the same time. I've managed to make the bed, take meds and eat my breakfast. Just finishing up a cup of coffee (my limit for the day) and think I can finally at least type.
Very foggy out this morning. Hoping it will not be so on the morning I leave -in 17 more mornings. Yikes. Dh is trying to get a lot done here outside this week as it's supposed to be pretty nice until Saturday or possibly Friday. He has today 'off'. So right now he's down at the 'can' barn putting up bags of soda cans to be returned. (NY has a 5-cent deposit on cans but since he's the one who sold this business years ago to the present owner he gets 6-cents -mounts up). Of course he can no longer use our vehicle to take them in so will have to borrow a truck from DS-A. He figures close to $200 for us this trip and at least that much for dcampowner. Keeps him out of trouble.
Finished really cleaning my closet out yesterday and went through all the dresser drawers, taking out what needs to go with me. Found more miscellaneous jewelry so have been putting that where it needs to go. Will try to get a 2nd suitcase packed today and that will leave me 1 more for odds & ends. Then I will pack whatever I need to for dh in a duffel bag. It's difficult trying to discern what he'll need for that final 2 weeks. Plan to leave 1 set of dress clothes for him -probably all he will need. I think there's enough socks/shorts in Fl that he shouldn't need more than he needs to travel with -which I will have packed for him. Big thing is the beverages and miscellaneous liquids -all of which have to be taken somewhere so they don't freeze. The beverages he'll bring in the truck.
DD made me a barn quilt for our shed last year. For some reason it's faded & looks 'dirty'. So dh will bring that with him and dd will attempt to repaint it -perhaps with a different type of paint.
Think I can start moving now. There goes dh by with one of the other guys on the Kushman -it's a 2-seater small cart. Know he will be working some today as there's a couple getting a new RV like ours and it will be quite a process getting it parked. Though the man who works for C amping W orld is very good at this sort of thing. Dh did call him last week and told him to plan on bringing their tractor. There's one row of RV's (the original row which are parked, nose to tail along the pond front. There's not a whole lot of space in between. All the other spots are 'backed' in and perpendicular to the roadways. This row is parallel to the road. But if anyone can do it, T can!

Re: Monday moving
Meant to tell Lady M, "I can feel your joy" and also LO's great sense of accomplishment. What a village we are -there's always knowledge to impart. Thank you from me too, Ramblin Rose for that tidbit. Amazing how something like that can make a huge difference in a child liking/disliking school. Our dgs9 absolutely hates school. We've all tried different approaches to get him to at least like it a little bit. Hopefully his outlook will change soon. Even dd, the teacher, trying to teach him things by the back door, hasn't been able to turn this attitude around.
The thing I want to 'move' on today is that I have 'tons' of articles clipped out -and many, I am sure, obsolete at this point. Need to get them in some semblance of order so I can find them at any one point if I'm ever going to use them. Sure I can toss quite a lot. If I tossed them all I'd probably never miss them. Don't buy magazines any more for the most part so at least they're not piling up.
Just remembered I need to look at the recipe for the crock pot -I'm making a new dish for pot luck tonight so need to figure that out soon and get it going.

Re: Monday moving
Applecart has been upset. Dd had the double-whammy of an upset stomach and a power-nightmare at midnight when she had had only a few hours sleep. Of all of us, I slept best and even I am bleary. Dd virtually lost the night because she went into full-bore awake mode plus bathroom back-and-forth, falling asleep about 5 a.m. (worst possible). She ended up taking a tardy (sigh) but did attempt school.
I may go back to bed, but when I can I need to:
have Desk Day
water violet
clean Master Bath
make dd's bed for her
think of a fifth thing

Re: Monday moving
I am heading out soon to get dmom to the doc today - routine appt at the arthritis doc but will be a lengthy day out for her.
Whoops, need to call to be sure she is up.
I overslept, not sure that I'll have time to walk ddogs this a.m. before I head out.
I didn't post all day yesterday because I couldn't login on my computer - it kept telling me I had exceeded the number of allowed logins but still wouldn't allow me to login with my password. I just reset the password, so now need to change it on my phone and iPad. Weird.

Re: Monday moving
I had to login again a day or so ago too, Twins, but it accepted my password. Weird things happening.
I'm dressed and somewhat on the move. Realized that the hash browns need to be thawed before going in the crock pot so am doing that. Will get everything else ready I guess. It just calls for southern hash browns, 2 cans of cheese soup, 2 cans of evaporated milk and French fried onions. But it's supposed to go in the pot for 10 hours. Only have about 10 1/2 right now.
I'll make it.
Whew -tummy disturbance -have no idea why.
Need to make a plan and work my plan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
