"WAY TO GO WEDNESDAY"!

Post by DeeClutter »

Well, Feline Friend and Nancy already got this title going last night! :D Love it too, as Kathryn (I think) said the other day -when FF already has a name for the next day. Nice not to have to think so early in the morning.

Dh asked why I was already up -I've been up for at least 1/2 an hour. Nice to spend a little time with dh before he heads out to work. I just couldn't lie in bed any longer. Sure I'll snooze at some point today.

Going to DS-A's & family for pizza tonight and most of all to see them all. DS, DDIL#2, DGS2 and DDIL's Mom are leaving on a 10-day cruise out of Newark tomorrow so it's my last chance to see them all before I head south. DSGD15 will be staying with a friend and DGS15 will be staying with his Mom for the next week & a half. Dh plans to take supplies to winterize DS's motorhome while we're there. So we're driving 2 vehicles. Think I'll call ddil to see if we can stop to pick up the pizza & wings on our way through town.

DS-A called near 9 (and I thought it was 11 -had just dozed off). Wanted to see if dh wanted to go to a county wide fire department dinner. Their fire department is getting some kind of award. He'll be going with their fire chief who is also a very close friend.

Spent a good share of that half hour looking at videos ddil has posted on FB of dgs2. He's such a joy! I stopped to see the dgks yesterday and the 2 older ones had gone with DS-A somewhere. DGS2 was engrossed in a tape and didn't have much time for Grandma. I tried to lift that little stinker to give him a hug (and he was willing at that point) and I simply could not lift him. He doesn't look the least bit chubby but oh is he solid! Has to be the healthiest eater of all our grandsons. His big brother, now 15, has finally developed that hollow leg! At any rate ddil told me last night that when I left, he ran to the window and was waving (I did see that) but was saying, "My grandma, my grandma!" Nice to be loved. :D

Slept in a bit but made it into the pool at 8:20 (leaving my bed made and room tidy.)

Had the pool to myself at first and then had to share. Then it got busier with the women coming for the 9 a.m. class and I nearly stayed but since I hadn't eaten breakfast yet, I didn't think it was wise to do a 40 minute class as well as 40 minutes of not-drowning. I may go later tomorrow and do the class. We'll see.

Got home at 9:30 and was eating breakfast after washing and hanging up my bathing suit at 9:45. I'm getting quicker with these things except my hair is still wet (today was warm enough to come home with wet hair and I prefer to let it air dry before straightening it, rather than subject it to both the dryer and the hot iron.)

I need to run out to the house today and do some grocery shopping on the way back. Might take a load to ds's place as well. Need to see what his sleeping schedule will be.

Lucylee Have you thought of scouring thrift/second hand stores for your purse? They will have older styles and may even have one similar to your old purse.

Great suggestion, Kathryn. How long does it take you to get to the gym?

Ewww, it's raining again. It was sunny just a short time ago! And it looks very cold. Hate for dh to be out in this kind of weather, but it'll get worse before he leaves. Reminds me I want to start watching the weather south -depends on what it will be like whether I take 95 or 77.

Speaking of dh, here he is with the big front loader -wonder what he's doing with that today...... He and co-worker came in out of the rain.

My dneighbor just arrived from her house -it was sunny & 65 when she left -raining and cold now! Think she's planning to winterize, but may change her mind.

Of course it's raining and cold -dh is going to winterize DS-A's motorhome tonight. It's always like this when he decides to do that. Think he's taking the truck (the one he's driving south) to DS's with all the equipment to winterize. We'll stop on the way to pick up the pizza. Also have a check from a camper to cash at the drive-thru on our way through town. Then I should just one more paycheck that I will deposit before I leave. Dh will cash the next few (AFTER I teach him how to use the ATM card -wish me luck. )

Good morning, villagers ~
I was supposed to meet a couple friends in The Big City for coffee this afternoon, but they have rescheduled for tomorrow. :| Not quite as convenient, but I will make it work.

Yesterday's eye appointment went well -- just a quick pressure check because I am high risk for glaucoma. I ran a couple errands afterward and was home in plenty of time to cook supper.

Since I won't be goofing off with friends this afternoon, I will make a Sam's run. I'm gradually stocking up the pantry and freezer for winter emergencies.

I'm hoping a package from Amzn will be waiting at the post office today. I ordered a warm winter hat for DH. The hat alone wasn't expensive enough to qualify for free shipping, so of course I had to add to the order. ;) DH asked for the latest music CD from Weird Al, and I pulled a couple books from my wish list.

So far I seem to be keeping up with October 1+1 goals successfully. Keeping notes in a little .txt file on the screen.

Good Morning!!

Been for a walk with DH and Dakota. It is Wed, so we walked up to get a paper for DH to read the sale ads.

On the way back we stopped to say hello to neighbor. She has a bed of basil about 3X4 ft and almost knee high. I came home with a big bunch so I can now make some fresh pesto. Some kind of bug got into mine and it now looks like lace.

Dr. appointment today to check on kidneys. Somehow both DH and I have elevated kidney blood tests in the last few months. I will see what is up and if specialist is recommended we both will go - otherwise I will make and appointment for him with his GP.

Time to find some breakfast. TTFN

I was up early - probably 5:15 or so when we had a T-storm come through - and didn't go back to bed. Then had to get dh to the airport - we left here about 5:15 and then I went to McD for bkfast and then picked up meals for dmom at the JCC. (My tummy isn't happy with the McD breakfast, btw.)

Today is errand day:
-groceries
-post office to mail stuff to dd
-wine at liquor store
-office supply store for printer cartridges
-get car washed, vacuum out?
-what else?

I hit the floor running this morning. Full of energy and motivated. I completed the first 3 hours of cards on time, then got bogged down during CFO hour tracking down several things.
** Amazon Subscribe & save spreadsheet created and updated. Made several changes to this months order and added a couple of things. This month order is for 8 items. I'm still fascinated that items can be delivered to my door cheaper than purchasing them at Sams or WM.
** New Banking software/information has been fixed/updated. I'm not ready to call it good, but it is much improved from yesterday. I sent email to the IT folks acknowledging the changes & thanking them for the updates.
** Called to check on when new washer/dryer will be delivered. ARGH! It hasn't left the factory yet. Visited with the shipping department and was assured it would be shipped out tomorrow. There reason for the delay was my state is not a frequent delivery spot for the trucking company (JB Hunt). I don't believe that.... They said it WOULD be on the truck tomorrow and they would email me the tracking number. expected delivery is 5-7 days once it is picked up. Sooooo....the removal of appliances and painting of the laundry room is still on hold until I can get a definite delivery date. HOW CAN I POSSIBLY MAKE IT THIS HARD TO BUY A WASHER/DRYER???

I did send a note to LO teacher asking permission for him to bring his Math books home. I want to see how he is being taught to subtract.....is it the new common core method? Hopefully knowing the method will help me to help him.

Good morning! It's looking like a nice autumn day here so far. Temps have been in the mid 70s early mornings this past week.

We were up early this morning and ready to leave just before 8 am to make a school run with dgd12. This morning we picked up her friend to take to school also. After we came home we made breakfast, then I finished up my daily routine. I am now enjoying a second cup of coffee with pumpkin pie spice flavored creamer. Dh does not like the flavored creamers like I do!

I think I will read until lunchtime then spend some time at my desk to catch up on paperwork.

Dee The gym is under 10 minutes away, even if I take the back streets route (which I had to today because rush hour makes the parkway unusable for me.) Easy drive either way which will be good in foul weather. Parking is sheltered but there's a short sprint from the garage to the door, maybe 100' so in a downpour I'll get wet but since I'm swimming, I'll be wet at some point anyway!

The lady came to pick up the SAD light so that is sold and another big box out of my front hall. Things are looking better, the last of the stuff I need to sell is in one archive box. Everything else piled up is to go to ds's.

Dd is on rest RX for this week so I phoned her up and suggested she drive with me out to the house (I have to drop off a book with receipts and warranties.) We'll do lunch and she'll at least get a change of view. The tree colours are approaching spectacular so it will lift her spirits to see those. She's expecting the fireplace inspector and will call when he arrives and he should be done by the time I get there.
