Total step count for me today is just shy of 15K.

I'm up and running -have to go for lab work. My blood count was 78 this morning and I can't eat until I do this! I will put something in the car to nibble on as soon as I leave the lab! Then it's quick trip home for breakfast. BBL

Quiet so far this morning. I'm back from my lab work and quickly getting some breakfast in. This was NOT a good test. She finally did my right hand and that vein blew, then did a surface vein on the side of my upper left arm. Finally managed to get enough of the red stuff to complete her tests. Do have a very sore hand now and of course I keep bumping it. Hey, could be a whole lot worse. At least it's done for another six months. I tried very hard to drink enough and keep warm, down to gloves. She kept commenting to the gal she had come in to help that my hands were still freezing.

After breakfast and sipping a cup of coffee I'm going up and do a load of sheets, towels and dh's extra jackets, etc. Nice day for it. Supposed to be 80 here today and Sunday the grass was very white. So up and down right now.

We're supposed to have rain off and on all day here. I have a dental appt at 2:45 but aside from that I'm doing more desk day. Emails last night reminded me that I need to add more info the the balance sheets for 3 years + YTD that I did yesterday. Thank goodness for two sets of eyes, tho.

I should throw on clothes and walk ddogs - I don't think it's raining right now but I'll wear my raincoat.

Harmony, I was thinking about you replacing the payroll check and having to re-do payroll reports....I think I would have considered reissuing the ck with the original date so it wouldn't have changed any summaries or total? I assume you voided in third Q and then reissued in 4Q?

It was "dress preppy, put-together" day at dd's school today. She had ignored the "dress like a genius" day yesterday. Maybe because of the upset at nearby school she became more aware of the adults trying to instill a little school spirit at her own. So, she broke over and wore a dapper shirt and one of her ddad's woolen square-bottom ties. She was sitting at my computer looking at images for tying ties this a.m.! It took 3 different ones before she really got the hang of it, and then wouldn't inch it all the way up to her neck. "How do men STAND these things?"

I feel very suspicious of men drivers today. I'm sure that's stereotyping, but it seems like every time I see a driver ignoring others on the roadways, it's a man. I'm seeing it over and over after my brush with an embankment yesterday. No signal given? A man. Chances taken? A man. 5 cars lined up in the "no left turn" lane to make left turns from the school, getting beeped at by the school bus drivers? All men. I may stereotype for a while until I get over it. Apologies to village menfolk, all of whom are exceptions, I'm sure.

Back home from school run, the Morning Daily Card done well. Darks washing for laundry today is through to drip-dry. Trash bags collected.

I spent a little more time on catching up with news than usual. All the headlines are compelling enough, but then reading about different communities dealing with hoarding situations, childcare situations, very concerning. And as far as illnesses, I realized I had not been keeping up with the ebola reports as well as I'd thought. A U.N. aid worker died in Germany and I didn't even know they had ebola patients transported to Germany. So tragic.

H did not have to have more tests yesterday that was good. I got more books so I will see if I can read I stead of watchig tv this mo bc of creepy commercials on.

I have been working on turning off apps deleting excess stuff on my tablet to get it to update and run better and not think it is a phone seems to be helping I tested that out already. YEA!

Hens are fed I tested out the light and it is working. H. Thinks I should just use it at nite but I do like being able to see when I do morning chores so that will change.

Re: men drivers this morning h backed in to the trash can and tipped it over today so excited about the jeep and watching me!

Dee: thank you for the excuse but the extra I have to do today is pack for my trip to Nova Scotia tomorrow!

Fortunately, we are flying so I don't have to pack as much as I do when we take the car. Plus it is only 4 days so just a few outfits will be enough.

I slept fine at first but dh got twitchy around 2 so at 3:15 I moved to the couch. That helped a lot. Still only 63% quality but no resentment on my part. He tried to wake me at 7:40 and I sent him away and told him to let me sleep and took an extra 25 minutes of sleeping and 15 minutes to wake up enough to move.

When dh took the ham out of the oven, juice went all over the floor so the kitchen was really sticky. Thankfully the dog wasn't underneath the boiling juice and responded immediately to my command to get out so I could close the door and keep her from getting hurt. The laundry room being right next to the kitchen is handy and I store my swim towels in there so we sopped up the mess instantly and then the dog did her best to clean up the residue but she's tiny and it was a huge mess so the floor remained sticky. Thus, I washed it first thing this morning so we'd stop tracking things through the house.

Then I electric broomed the office, got the table back to size and the sounding cloths put away and vacuumed the dining and living room.

Dh started in on the kitchen and we finished that off quite quickly. Together we can get things done 3x faster than just me on my own so it really does pay to work with dh rather than start by myself (I'll just exhaust myself and not be as productive.) Almost everything is put away now except for 1 serving dish and some silver things that need wrapping in saran before they are put away.

I'm pausing now for breakfast and then I'll get on the rest of my day.

Oh, Twins, it wasn't that complicated to replace the check. I'm not automated. In 2002 when we first got the computer someone told me to do spreadsheets. Noone told me to put in a business program (quick books, etc.) so I spent a great deal of time learning excel. A couple years down the road I realized my mistake but have stubbornly refused to change. No doubt this is why this stuff takes me so long.

I just had to change 2 spreadsheets and make enough notes so cpa would understand. I do my payroll / qtr reports by hand. 3rd quarter is already sent in, plus unemployment report and check too. I guess cpa has to make sense of my spreadsheets and reconcile them with my reports. I've asked him if I really should change everything, but he said what I give him is great and very accurate and there's no need to change. Remember we are a tiny company, usually 3 full time employees plus subs and part time help occasionally.

But I have to shake my head; who launders their paycheck?!

I've been all morning helping DH organize a work day, hunting locks and keys (I found about 6 that fit a set of handles / locks). And then working on a huge letter for him. He scratched something out and I had to change and edit so it doesn't look like sour grapes... I know it's not, but the written word doesn't convey thought sometimes - and there's the problem with FB. This letter is going to our church and I'm not comfortable with any of it. He's much braver, though, and felt he had to say this...and I'm the secretary around here...

Moving trucks around today. That's soon.

Back from doing 2 loads of laundry -one of towels/washcloths & 1 of dh's work jackets & sweatshirt. Hung the latter 2 on our deck. It's sunny and very windy so they should dry nicely. Dried the towels in the dryer. Just fixed dh's lunch. I'm waiting on mine a bit. Have a humongous headache & a sudden case of di a rhea. Was going to go to the car dealer today to see if I can get oil change coupons with the certificate they gave us last week (in lieu of giving back the nearly $200 we spent on one new tire!!) Guess they couldn't give cash and the certificate has to be spent there. If I understand correctly the change coupons can be used at any Dodge dealer.

I have the car just about packed and the back seat is still empty! Have one canvas bag, my computer bag, an oval bin with all banking/postal/computer stuff and my overnight bag to go in yet. Think I'll be able to fit the computer in the trunk yet. This will leave most of the back seat for dfriend's luggage and whatever else she brings. I doubt it will be much else, perhaps an overnight bag, as she's flying back home. I may even put the small duffel bag of shoes in the back seat. Above all I can't forget my quilted lap quilt. I love it when I get up in the night to throw over me.

Need to get dh's meds put up for the next couple of weeks and leave him instructions to refill them. Need to do mine as well.

I was going to go to the dealership and then on for a small shopping trip at W Mart. Think I'll wait until tomorrow -first because I don't feel great & second because it's nice out today for packing & it's supposed to rain and be chilly tomorrow.

I'm hoping to stay here next year until dh is ready to leave. Chances are he might not be driving for a camper then anyway. I don't like packing up and trying to leave enough but not too much for him. I'm trying to make sure I do all the things I would normally do for closing -before I leave.

Have a rifle in the car, that was my Dad's (I'm really still amazed that he gave it to dh years ago!) My niece will be here later to get it for our dgnephew. It was in the trunk, but since I'll be meeting her here at 5 I put it in the back seat.

Morning y'all..

Woke up with a headache this morning, but was able to beat it back. Just hope it stays that way.

I have a few things to do around the house and then I'm off to do a w mart run, plus I need to stop and buy a baby shower present. After that I'll come home, fix dinner and then head for a meeting afterwards.
