Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
So hard to type with this on my finger, but I am making progress with healing, I suppose.
This has been an amazing loss of a day. I haven't felt like doing much of anything, just enjoying the quiet. I do enjoy the company of these houseguests (and I don't always enjoy houseguests, just tolerate at times) but I am so glad to be done. I snoozed a little - don't really need the sleep but enjoying the quiet.
I went to 3 p.m. body work appt and he had lost his planner and double booked the time - so I am going back at 4:30 - will need to leave soon. I don't know what dh's schedule is tonight so don't know when he will be home anyway.

Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
Improper diet is affecting me now.
Had my yogurt at noon (two hours after the pill, the earliest I could have it but I was heading off.) Then got distracted and we left 15 minutes late. Lunch was iffy at this point. Then we hit construction and took 30+ minutes to drive the 12 minutes to the theatre. Sigh.... Dd waited for us (not sure we'd make it in time) and we bought tickets, popcorn, and sat down a few rows from the front because it is $2.50 Tuesday so the theatre was full.
Enjoyed the movie, 100 foot Journey, very much.
But my tummy is not exactly calm at this moment.
Dinner has been started. I might take time to look for some vegetables in the meantime.
The doctor's office called and it was a tick and specifically the kind that can carry Lyme Disease so it has been sent off for full testing (which takes two weeks.) I'm to stay on these drugs as long as I can tolerate them.

Norma, we will be watching with you tonight! DH said if it went 7 games, Hudson would pitch again tomorrow, but he wasn't going to pull for Kansas City on that account!
He would love to see the Giants win it all tonight.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. Will y'all be as glad as I will be when election day comes and goes??? My phone rings CONSTANTLY, always out-of-area calls; I'm sure they are political and I don't even answer. * sheesh *
(((Twins))) Some days are just like that. And the annoyance and pain of your finger, plus having visitors underfoot, plus everything else on your mind -- you are very deserving of a quiet day of not much of anything. Good for you!
Waving to Nancy, Dee, and everyone else!
I am feeling a tiny bit better than I did at my last post. S2S... did some journaling & Bible reading. Bible study note mentioned that sometimes we are facing overwhelming problems, but if we just take a few small steps, we may see the answer to claiming our victory. Really no "small steps" I can take re: dmom at the moment, except to be encouraging and supportive of her when we talk. The small steps I need to take are re: myself -- to stop focusing on myself and the WHAT IF's and just DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING...
Which in this case will be errands:
* drug store
* post office
And then try again to call dmom.
I was just about to go to Walmart, also, and return the sunglasses I do not like, also, but I'm wavering on that. It might be nice to have a spare pair, in case the ones I do like break. OTOH, is a spare pair that I hate worth $100? I'll talk to dh about that more, I guess, when he gets home. I have to return them by mid-November if I want my money back.

Lucylee, I think they have already said if it were to go 7 games that Bumgarner would be rested and would go. The Royals are deathly afraid of him and in the series the coaches can make any changes they want in the rotation. That guy is perfection and has already made baseball history.
GO GIANTS
Mr. Guy and I just came back from a ride in the '31. It is gorgeous here today. We make a video of our ride through Genoa, the oldest town in Nevada, past Red Skelton's old place and along the old Pony Express Trail. We prepared it for Sweetie, but when we got home he discovered it was too large to send. We will have to show it to him when we get down to AZ.

So if that helps you to know why you are putting up with those meds. To know that might help. I suppose you knew that.
ToddlerN has a runny nose today but is very active and has been loving the books bc even kid tv is just too scary this week. She will be here until four when dgd and dgson come after school. We will be doing this more but not sure on the day yet.
Upside down coffee can makes a great drum a fun project to decorate it first but we skipped that part. Have doused hot spots.

Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
Nancy: Lyme disease can present as any number of things so it is really nasty from that point of view. I know why I'm taking these (and they only lessen the potential for symptoms later on but won't reduce the chance entirely.) Given the timing for symptoms (months in the future) and the fact that I'm off to Africa months in March, I'm really not a happy camper. On top of everything else, this is now a pre-existing condition so won't be covered by insurance if I do get sick (like our last cancelled trip was.)
I'm really a mess over this. I'm supposed to go to Toronto and NS in a few weeks but am not up traveling that far at the moment. In theory, the drugs will be done by then and the waiting will begin. Of course, the harder you watch for symptoms, the more symptoms you develop.
Haven't moved from my last post. So much for ta-dah Tuesday.

Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
Just a quick C. I. for now. My Tuesday Ta-Dahs are:
1- I logged, subbed a short story, for Valentine's Day.
2- I helped DH put away grociers & open up pens, put them on my end table.
3- I washed light-colored clothes.
4- I worked on my today's PODA, when I realized I had none.
5- Did some stretches for my painful & tight back.
6- Timed my story logging with 90-minutes, getting up occasionally, to do other things.
7- Sorted the snail mail & gave Kitty her "mail treats."
I NEED to:
1- Clean my desk up from my writing project.
2- Dry LOL & start the next/last load.
3- Journal write.
4- Write tomorrow's PODA, set my dawn simulator & get out work clothes.
5- Do more stretches & walk.
6- Do light housework.
7- Rest a bit.
DH has a movie on, we saw in a theater years ago, called "Men of Honor," starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. It's a wonderfully inspiring movie. DH got his flu shot, too, & went grocery shopping after & got 1 prescription for me. I have a letter to reply to, too, so will "try" to get that done today.
Have a great afternoon full of Ta-Dahs, everybody!

Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
A deal was struck on the car so on behalf the guys, I'll count that as a TaDah. Now Dson-23 is looking over used cars again for another project for them to do.
They turned the water off here temporarily to fix a leaking faucet.
I used the time to play a game on my computer. Not really a Ta-Dah but sometimes you gotta play.
Did face time too with Dson in NC. He had been out doing errands and job hunting.

Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
CI: I got a late start, but am finally able to document some Ta-Dahs!
* Finished washing the dishes
* Scrubbed both toilets
* Scrubbed DH's sink
* Treated 2 drains with baking soda, vinegar & boiling water
* Nap
* Cooked a potato and had it with cottage cheese for lunch
* Laundry load #1 is complete & put away; #2 is in the dryer, #3 in the washer
* Threw away the old nylon net scrubbie and took out a fresh new one to scrub a particularly yucky cast iron skillet
* Spent over 45 minutes at my car in the garage sorting things from DMIL's craft room -- filled a medium size trash bag and left it in the bin out there; tossed a stack of knitting pattern magazines in the recycle bin; consolidated the things I am considering good enough to keep into the trunk but left them there for a 2nd look tomorrow
* Emailed DNiece about the sewing basket DMIL gave me that she said was a gift from DNiece. DMIL was sure DNiece didn't want it back, but I want to be sure neither of the DGreatNieces in that family want it. If they do, I'll leave it in the trunk so I can take it back north Saturday. I'm really hoping one of them wants it. It's a very nice basket, and I can use it, but I don't really need it. Both of the girls are newlyweds and have their own houses now, so one of them might really want and need a nice big wicker sewing basket with a lid, plus it's from the Philippines where they were both born when DNephew was stationed there in the Navy.

Re: Tuesday Ta-Dahs!
Ds has headed off now. He stayed all day because he was studying for one of his Ski Patrol first aid tests. The testing is across the river, quite close to here, plus we fed him dinner. And I let him take my vitals as practice.
If he passes this one, he goes on to another test on Thursday night. I think that one is cases as opposed to written. A pass is 80% with is scary for him (he's a mid 70's sort of person.) He did a practice test this afternoon and scored 78.5%. So he's very worried.
