FINISHING FRIDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

Can you put the 'finishing' touches on something today? For me it will be to try to finish surface straightening the office. I've made a lot of headway in there working about a 1/2 hour each day. Trying to decide whether to now move my computer and printer in there -out of our bedroom. Have to think on this.

I'm just about ready to walk out the door to my Friday morning "Job". I help with the Sunday bulletin for church most Fridays (while we're in FL). It gives me something worthwhile to do and keeps me moving.

I imagine dh is on his way south -should be somewhere in PA.

Tomorrow will be the day for new beginnings in most of our threads -are you ready for the next to the last month of 2014? Yikes, I'm not!!

Speaking of upgrading the month -I notice we only have 2 dates in November. Are there any more to add to our "Special Dates" list? Just pm me and I'll be happy to add any (not only for November, but any month.)
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

I'm so overwhelmed it is hard to process it is the end of the month.

Appropriately for today, my schedule, my incomplete project, my mess and my lack of housekeeping are frightening!

I want to swim this morning but won't because I can't justify taking the time away from the house. Probably a good idea as I wait to see how my tummy handles the food this morning. I bought bananas last night because I sensed something was happening and I was right. So once I can eat again today, I'll have a banana. In the meantime, I'm in that 4 hour "can't eat" period (except for 4 crackers when I take my pill.)

I have a start on my sermon now. It is just a spark but hopefully it will go somewhere. Off to do research on my anecdotal support for my thesis. My first round of research got me nothing, so I'll have to try a different tact.

Hi everyone!

I have so much I want to do this weekend. There are many things that I would like to get out of the way today, but I have a love/hate relationship with Hallowe'en.

I went to P ennington's yesterday and discovered that I am down a full size in the band, so I treated myself to 3 gorgeous new sets and 2 of them had matching nighties. What a difference to be buying stuff in a smaller size. I have also lost almost 20 pounds since August 1st. I stepped on scales for the first time yesterday morning.

I would love to go to the bulk food store for candy corn but I don't know if it's at the same mall that \I was planning to go to. (Reference for Kathryn, the closest malls are in St. Catharines.)

I need to get up and get moving. We plan on going out for fish and chips tonight. I would like to get laundry done today as well.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Good morning.

Kathryn, that 4 hours' wait would be driving me crazy! I hate the 1 hour I have to wait after taking my thyroid med. I can't imagine waiting 4.

The usual paperwork shuffle. Had to type 8 letters for DH, then found the addresses weren't legible or incomplete, so I had to search on county website to find them...nothing's ever easy.

Last evening DH finally told me what happened this week that made him so disagreeable. We still haven't straightened out the problems around here, and there are some to straighten out with the business also.

CathyS, you sound like you're happy!
Dee, how is your DGD doing?

Doing some catch up reading in J&C and older PWYC threads. So now thinking about all of you, but won't comment in this open forum.

DH slept in this morning while I walked Dakota. Went the other way around the block to "unwind" from the usual way I go. Don't think I will do that again as it meant about triple the amount of stops for her to check out the new smells. It was nice to see several friends who are back for the season.

I finally was able to shampoo Dakota yesterday but didn't get to the nails. I don't think I would be able to get up if I went down on the floor with here and she doesn't go on any of the furniture to bring her up to the correct height.

Good morning, villagers ~

Moving slowly but steadily here today. Conserving energy because this afternoon I'm going up north to help pack DMIL's clothes and linens. The last Email received said that a lot of the kitchen stuff has already been moved to the apartment, but of course there are always things like cereal, potholders, the pans and dishes she uses every day. I don't think she has packed any of her clothes yet.

Tomorrow up there will be chaos with people trying to move the big furniture out through small doorways.

A couple members of the family will be taking DMIL out for lunch and shopping tomorrow while we are moving the big stuff, and then she will go directly to the apartment instead of back to the house. The plan is for us to have everything unpacked and set up by the time she arrives at the apartment.

Of course, then she will have to spend the next month or so trying to figure out where we put her stuff, and what she still wants from the house. :?

Thanks for asking, Harmony. DGD16 is still with her guardian family. She did finally get suspended (but made it through 9 weeks!) She was attached to her guardian Mom for last Friday, this Mon & Tues. Tuesday night she asked if she could stay home from their planned volunteer fund raiser event to do a paper that was due no later than the next day. "Mom's" reply? "You had the equivalent of 21 hours at school with me when you could have done it. So no -this is a family charity event, end of discussion". Her counselor had called the next day to cancel an appointment as she'd been in a household of strep and "Mom" told her what had happened: Reply: "GOOD for you!" She had sworn at a teacher to earn the suspension. Saw her very briefly last night at the Cinderella play we went to and she immediately said, "Hi, Grandma". (That's progress). Sure we will run into her a few times this year. They are scheduled to go to Germany in June for the next 2 or 3 years -so we will see what we see. Think she's slowly improving.

Just got back from doing the bulletin and a short W mart run. Now have crockpot potato soup going. Had to stop for some bacon pieces and cream cheese.

Talked to dh on my way home. He was just north of Winchester, VA so he must have left somewhere around 4-4:30 this morning. He'll call me later to have me make a hotel reservation for him, depending on where he might be. I'm guessing it will only be a one-night stay over. Figure he'll be here by late tomorrow.

DD and I plan to go to Epcot tomorrow. Have annual passes so it's just the cost of the drive there -about 40 minutes. Thinking about getting dh something for Christmas in the way of a pass. Have to look to see what's available. He really doesn't need an annual pass as he'd always be with me -for parking, etc.
