Re: Merry Monday!
Almost 3 - after the last ck in I straightened up in bedroom, made bed and rebooted laundry, then went to drugstore to p/u a script. Took a very small break and have been working on the garage. Now to sweep and pull it back together and load my car with good will stuff and some other things to go to a new home.

Re: Merry Monday!
DH bought some navy fleece sheets, with 1 set of fleece pillowcases and 1 set of silkier pillowcases, all in navy. We washed them, he's drying them, and we'll put the new sheets on our bed today. Tonight's or a.m. temps will be in the 30's. We want to keep warmer. I get cold, then get up way too early.
I changed clothes into black fleece pants (without the cuff), a red turtleneck sweater, and cream-colored cardigan with an Aztec-like pattern on the sleeves, and near the hem of the cardigan. I feel so warm and cozy. It's so nice to feel comfy, when it's a cooler day outdoors. You can almost smell or feel ice and snow, and it's not even made its debut.
DH had to increase his insulin-diabetic drug combo in the pen, up to 48 now. It slowly increases because he tends to have higher blood sugar. He gets up in the morning, with high blood sugar. I know everybody's so different, too, who are diabetic. It's very interesting how everyone varies, from person to person.
My book was shipped, should arrive in 3 days, I'm a happy camper, so want to get housework done, etc... so I can feel like I can allow myself some time, to set aside and read on and off.
How many of you are going to be in that Polar Vortex?
We're in the Pacific NW, so it's supposed to by-pass us, go to the East of us, down in the U. S. and wow. The temp predictions are so scary.
Blessedw2, That is totally unfair about those sizes. It's so odd, for just myself, too. I can be a 12/14 on top in a tee from Walmart, yet a top, which is dressy, from another store, can be an 18/20. Dmil used to cut off ALL the # tags, showing sizes. She did NOT want to know the #, because it sometimes made her feel bad.
And, I've lost weight, yet still have 3 Muumuu's in a size Large, but have 2 Medium Muumuu's, and keep them all. I can wear nightgowns under the ones, which are larger, and I figure, it's just 1 letter or 1 number size down, so what does it actually matter? When I was 30, I had an eating disorder, Anorexia, and it was terrible for me, for our Dfamily, and Dfriends. People were so concerned, and it's so hard to gain a foothold over such an evil thing, that has its grip on you. It distorts your thinking, terribly, and you suffer so much with self image. Sad.
Blessedw2, What do you set your timer length for? I have 45 minutes in the office, for the laptop usage, but 30 min. in the kitchen, for walking. When I do shorter timed jobs, I go 10 minutes or 15 minutes. 1 timer is so loud, it kind of hurts DH's ears, because it's a high-pitch ringing. The other one's quieter, so I use it nearer to him, because it's easier on his poor ears.
Harmony, It's very thoughtful of you to cook for Sandi and family. ♥
Kathryn, I'm so glad you're off that drug now!
I'd better get my brain moving now. I have some things to do. I want to lay the groundwork today, work tomorrow, and tidy my office today.
I can hardly wait to see what the mail brings today, too. Oh, I've got snail mail to do, too. Oh, I guess I'd better make a little list or go check my PODA!

Re: Merry Monday!
I peeled and cut up the squash it is in the freezer now. Toddler has been fed hens too. Time to unload dishes. Mail has been processed. We had art time. Got a daily reminder for my afternoon Rx on my phone setup and ready to go now.

Re: Merry Monday!
Thanks for the ideas for getting the pills into Pepper. Usually, peanut butter does work for her -- just not today. I'll try cheese and some lunch meat and see if either one of those options work. She has refused to get out of her crate. I wonder if the cone is making her feel depressed or something?
I've never heard of pet pockets before -- but they sound like a brilliant idea. If the groc. store has the, I'll pick some up to try as well.
Back from work -- funny how my students can lift my spirits.
I've checked email and finished a groc. list. I just made up a simple menu for Thursday. Often dh cooks b/c we have S and R over, and I don't get home from work until 6 pm - but he isn't here now and we didn't connect earlier over what he wanted to cook on Thursday.
Moms group craft coordinator is out of town b/c her mother just died. I need to get the supplies for the kids' craft this Thursday. I wonder when I'll do that? Fortunately, my evenings are open this week if I need to use one for a shopping trip. I have something every morning this week - and of course, I teach in the afternoons, until 5:30 on T, Th, and 5:45 on Friday with tutoring. Wednesday, I could run errands at 4 pm. . . .
Off to the groc. store.

Re: Merry Monday!
I got that LOL hanging up in the garage. I also got the project started, at least the spreadsheet is made and 1st 10 months logged.
Email rec'd from my ins. agent. He says there are a lot of mistakes on the official govt drug plan site and he checks a couple more also. He tried to educate me on the copays (where one company is a percent and one company is a set amount...and the deductible... and the tiers... it's very confusing. But he did agree I need to switch and he picked the 2 top ones I'd picked. So after some thinking, I emailed him back and told him which one...so I will be saving $100+ on the premium alone and over $300 on medicines...

Re: Merry Monday!
thank you for sharing d friend - my eldest had an e.d. when she was a teen. She is healthy now and has really gotten to know herself and trust herself which I find so amazing. I just know it was so hard for her at that time as I know it was for you. I think those that have gone through ED are some of the bravest people I know. I am constantly wowed by her inner understanding. She is the one that taught me how to expect healthy boundaries.
My timer is for 1 hour intervals as I can easily get sidetracked. my kids call me the light of a thousand fairies.
or a puppy with a butterfly
I wish you all a good night!!!!
I have to take the pictures of the walls bc I have a painter coming tomorrow

Re: Merry Monday!
Dh didn't get home from the dr. until after 11 am. He should have left earlier since it was the walk-in clinic. She said the first round of meds had not touched his ear issue. We knew that. She went on to say that the last guy who had the same thing, the first round didn't help him either. So she put dh on the set of 3 meds that she used for the 1st guy and they worked for him. She wants to see him again in 10 days.
Dh ended up eating lunch here and by the time he left, it was about 12:30 before I left for my errands. When I came out of the grocery store at 1:20 or so, the wind had started blowing.
The temperature started dropping. Dh says it is 33 with a feels like temp of 13.
I did all of the errands but the boot shopping. I decided I didn't want to be out having my vehicle sand blasted.
I watched dgd3 while dd2 took dgd5 to dance. Dgd5 was upset that she NEVER gets any alone time with grandma anymore. So I told her that when I bring her sister to daycare at 11:30, I will pick her up and she can spend the rest of the day with me.
I left home again around 1:50 to finish me errands. All the workers were here but about done. When I came home at 2:30 they were done, had cleaned up their mess and left. We are happy with the results.
I heard on the radio that this cold weather is suppose to be here until the weekend before Thanksgiving. Yikes. If it isn't windy the whole time it won't be unbearable. (I hope.)

Re: Merry Monday!
Cleaned my office, dusted, swept the floor, and DH vacuumed my area rug under my office chair. I did 3 LOL today, dusted the dining room, I'm ready to dust/dust mop the MBR and want to dust/dust mop the GR8 room, too. If I run out of "steam", I'll dust tomorrow, while DH is doing errands.
It'll be cooler tonight, we got the new fleece sheets and pillowcases on the bed, I've replied to 1 letter, am enclosing articles on the benefits of knitting, as per studies, etc... and comics and things like that.
We're watching the news, don't know what we "want" to eat for dinner, but I'm leaning towards either a soup/sandwich or stew or a microwave dinner.
Have a Merry Monday night, Everybody!
This is a quick C. I.
Waving at you all!

Re: Merry Monday!
Done:
- groc. store
- everything put away
- supper: Leftover tacos with rice and beans; some is left for dd16 to partake after she comes home from tutoring in Detroit
- cleaned up kitchen by myself; dh is now absorbed in a woodworking project. I'm very glad! He works way too hard as it is.
- fed the ddogs.
-- because I could write dogs plural. Pepper has definitely perked up after just one dose of the antibiotic and prednisone. I fed her a can of chicken and rice dog food because I wasn't sure what/how much a dog should eat after not eating for 1.5 days. She chowed it down.
- gathered laundry
- folded one load of darks
- have another load in the washer
I'm now going to look over my classes for tomorrow. I need to give a quiz in one class on Thursday (this is a T/Th class) so I need to figure out what will be on it and what we need to do tomorrow to prep for it. The other class has a quiz on Friday, but I already know what will be on it. And they should be well-prepared by then.
