Bookie - you were EXTREMELY nice to them! They could use a few lessons in not being so rude and demanding.

Dee - no messages or pop-ups here.

Alrighty! Lunch served and cleaned up.

DH took my Sam's list with him to town this morning and came home with a huge pile of things to be put away. I'm trying to not buy anything extra until after we move but something just couldn't wait. I need to put all these items away.

Talked to the person at city hall about how to do the utilities transfer. It was a reminder why I love small towns. She said to give them 15 minutes notice when we wanted to make the switch and they would get er done. I'll swing by and fill out the paperwork and pay the deposit ($150) and have that done.

BH sellers are giving us a key (hush hush) to the new-to-us home before they leave the state today. I'll swing by and pick the key up on my way to get LO from school. LO has a counselor appt before we meet DGS17 for dinner.

Need to put the dogs up before I leave. I have 40 minutes to get everything done before leaving.....and this home has a showing while we are gone so everything needs to be as neat as possible. ....and electronics locked up. *POOF*

Wow, Booksaver, you were really nice over and above given the circumstances. We are not allowed to block anybody's driveways. Did they work for your municipality or county or were they a private company?

I have some tadah's:

Filed 4 months paperwork.
Made a beef stew in the crock pot. Lots of chopping.
Helped DH restack lumber in the shop, helped him maneuver truck around house...
Went to bank.
Fielded phone calls.

Been pretty busy all day. Let's see what's next..

Wanted to tell Harriet I had fun with the online keyboard. I did not know there was such a thing. I will have to show my grandkids...oh, they probably already know about them!

Hello everyone! It is quite overcast today and still chilly - still in the mid 60s. My doggies are liking this cooler weather!

I don't feel as accomplished as others here. I had a slow start to the day, but have finished daily routines, finally. I've done a room by room walk and emptied trash cans, moved & put away items; I'm ready to start weekly conga tomorrow. I also finished up desk day for the month.

Saturday is a Celtic Festival and we might go if the weather is nice, no rain. I have to look up what time it starts so we can get there early enough for a good parking place.

Next up I will start the kitchen clean up for dh who is baking again!

I have had no pop-ups here either.

I'm definitely not 'accomplished' here, Sunny. Think my body is cold. Know dd would say, "TURN ON THE HEAT". But I'm also tired -slept very poorly last night. Tuesday night was fantastic. One night out of 1,500 'ain't' bad.

Have to pick dd up at school about 7:30 for Trivia. Dh has been there all day helping with the float. She wasn't 'supposed' to have anything to do with the float this year. Right. She's in charge. The person who was supposed to have it this year said a few days ago, "oh, no, I just said I'd HELP". So dd is in charge again this year and with precious little time to complete it. Especially since we'll be on our cruise next week and the parade is the following Thursday, December 4th. And she has her official evaluation the first day back at school. She 'kiddingly' asked if she could have it in "Float 101".

Dark and chilly out today. Went to breakfast with dbil/dsil this morning. Then I dropped dh at school. He was also speaking to dd's 8th grade class this afternoon from his experiences in his career. Think it's 'teach-in' day.

I should make myself move and at least have one ta dah today. :?

Ta-dah's here --
* Walked 2 miles w/ds
* Did morning stretching routine/exercise (trying to make that a baby step-tiny habit, LadyM! It's only about a 5 minute thing, but so hard to make a habit.)
* s2s, etc. Bible reading
* messaged dxsisil and ddil re: gift ideas
* got a lot of scrap paper notes onto 3x5s as well.
* ready to go to the musical program/play/variety show? I don't know exactly what we're seeing. DH thought it would be good.

Last night, I really got busy, consolidating lists and getting gift ideas on paper, and I bought 4 gifts online. Hope to do more this weekend, b/c these are not the kinds of things that will really be Black Friday deals, just books and CDs/DVDs from amazon.

3x5s -- FelineFriend, you mentioned in another thread that the cards just don't work well for you, and obviously they do not for me, either, b/c I just keep shuffling them around. However, they are an excellent MEMORY source for me. Last night, while talking to dfriend re: the girls we are supposed to be mentoring, I had an excellent idea for February -- those Gimball's Cherry Candies! They're heart shaped; they'll be perfect in a "care package" to two college girls. So I put it on a 3x5 under the January divider, and now I'll remember it in time to get some. :D And thanks to all of you for putting the word out about those candies, btw... mmmm... I'm glad I have to go out of my way to get them, or I'd eat a bag every week!
Tomorrow is another day.

Cinderella would be proud of me... All baseboards in 3/4 of the house have been washed and cleaned and all tile in the house has been scrubbed not mopped. I had to move all my furniture off the tile area. I also took a large area rug outside and washed it. I have it draped over my lawn furniture to dry.

I want to polish. It dust my furniture and I. Need to resist and. A hum ... All that can wait till this weekend. I have a busy day planned for tomorrow away from the house including most of my t-day grocery shopping. I am on schedule to be done by tue with a day worked in in case I have a migraine ;-)

Sweetie just went to get our dinner ... I need to dig out are bar stools so we will have some place to sit. I have furniture every where except where it's suppose to be

Waving to y"all and stay warm... It's 76* here at the moment ;-)

Ta dah! I'm home.

The day went smoothly.

* Breakfast with our friends from Virginia.
* Packing and leaving the hotel.
* Subway to the train station, transit train to the end of the line where our car awaited us.
* Drive home in sunshine hitting a drive thru for my lunch and gas from the Mohawks (so under $1/liter, a price I never thought I'd see again!)
* Stop in at the village to pick up the guitar and our music (and use the washroom at the church!
* Home to drop guitar and computers in the apartment and put on warmer coats
* Took the bus downtown to the book launch of a friend's book
* Dinner at McD's
* Bused home on a special bus that goes all the way to hockey games. Which means we can take the bus to hockey games and save $10 for parking and time driving (since it uses a special bus lane.) Once home, I emptied the mail box and dh brought the suitcases upstairs.

It was so sunny I didn't bother to use my computer in the car because I wouldn't have been able to easily read the screen. I did do some reading for my service on Nov. 30th and have an idea or two for that.

I'm having tea and chocolate and catching up on the internet after a day of being disconnected.

Glad to see K&K had a good trip!

RR - YGG! WOW!
I also took a large area rug outside and washed it
It is a common sight to see large area rugs being washed at MPB. Some people lay the rug across the back of pickup. Some lay the carpets on concrete and blast it with soap/water. The rugs are definitely clean when they finish.
DH recently told me there is a big rise in number of people washing their baseball suits at MPB. Apparently it gets the red clay dirt stains out of the ball suits. He said they hang the suits from the clamps that normally hold the floor maps and blast them.

Talked to Realtor on our way home from town. The people who viewed our home tonight wanted to make us a contingency offer. The Realtor told them no. We wouldn't take it off the market and wait for them......- first person with $$ in hand gets it. They are definitely interested, just don't have a plan in place. They are going to work on developing one. Meanwhile, another showing is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

BH seller gave us their blessing for us to start moving in. All on the hush hush. We didn't ask for key or for early occupancy, they volunteered and just asked us not the "rat" them out to the Realtor. I think early occupancy cost $30 a day but they aren't asking us to pay or modify the contract.

LO is in the bathtub. I best be moving him along before he turns into a prune. :)

Sweet dreams
