There, did a mile on the treadmill approaching proper speed (3 mph.) I'm still on it, but I've slowed it down so I can type. I used to be able to type at 3 mph but apparently that's a skill I've lost over the summer between bad knees and plantar faciitis.

It is important to me to make my fitness goal this month. Since everything else seems to be going wrong, if I can manage my 10K steps per day over the month, I'll be super happy.

Thursday has now been booked with a church service at my senior's home. My minister is doing it but dh and I will go and do the music for his service. It will be fun to sit in the seats with my senior's and listen to someone else preach. I can't do communion with them, but he can so I'll be able to take communion with them.

The guest preacher this afternoon preached on next week's texts to give all the preachers there a head start on our sermons for next weekend. I made notes! In fact, I have a few ideas now. The guest preacher was 'settled' into our pastoral charge 38 years ago when he graduated and was ordained. That was before our time there but he's was a rising star who I felt met 26 years ago and have had on my radar since. He actually attends the church nearest us (he's retired) and has invited Ken and I to start attending. It is tempting. The current minister there was the worship leader today (it is the church that sponsored our new minister for ordination.)

I imagine I'll wait for January before even thinking about attending there just to check it out. I spoke to someone today about how the new rules for lay preachers makes it hard for us if we move.

Owie, Kathryn! Take care of yourself and pamper a little bit.

Dh and I are heading to bed. Want to leave here by 7am for Ft. Lauderdale. I am really quite anxious about this trip. Don't ask me why. Won't be able to post from the ship but if we get anywhere that we can, I'll peek in. Not sure I'll have time to post in the morning.

Love to you all -have a good week and a Happy Thanksgiving all you in the U.S. We'll spend ours in Cozumel and have a traditional dinner on board that evening.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

We woke up suddenly at 6:50 a.m. to thunder and lightning, which lasted for 2 hours. Poor Dkitty hid behind our washer in the utility room. It took her 4 - 5 tries, to finally get up and out from behind there. We had .65 inches of rain in 90 minutes. 10 miles away, a pine tree splintered over 60 feet away, pierced through homes, windows, and lightning struck a bathroom, totally gutting a floor and starting a fire. The residents are staying overnight at neighbors.

The Seahawks won! Yippee!!!

I took 2 naps today, but short ones.

I cleaned out my entry hall china cabinet with all the cut crystal I have collected over the years. DMIL asked me years ago, if I wanted to start collecting anything special, I said cut crystal and wow! I have a LOT now!

Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving to you All, too!
