(((
Lilac))) -- sad that the other dgd is so jealous and everything, but sounds like dgd2 is quite capable of managing all this. She does sound very mature and sensible. I am sorry that it has been so stressful for you and your ddaughters though, too, b/c it's obvious y'all are so close and I know you wish these girls could have a better relationship. Oh well... maybe someday, when they are both adults...
I haven't done a thing since my last post except wander around in memory lane, looking back at posts from six months and a year ago. Six months ago today, dmil passed away. I don't know if dh has thought about that or not, but it is so amazing how so much can change in six months' time. And 9 days later, my dcousin passed away. In the first six months of this year, we had funerals for dh's cousin, dh's uncle, dh's aunt, dmil, and my dcousin. Thank goodness we have had less sad occasions in the six months since.
A year ago, I was all in a tizzy about our trip to California, LOL... and now in a tizzy about a trip to Florida.

Also, a year ago, I was worried about dmom wanting to go see George Strait with me (which did not come to pass!) and worried about hosting my first big family Christmas gathering. I may end up hosting dbil/dniece/dnephew this year, but that will be okay. I do hope that sometime while dniece is home from college, we can make some progress re: dmil's house. * sigh * Life goes on...
MUST get busy. See y'all tomorrow!
