I appreciate Twins' affirmation that I am doing a good thing, this filing and etc for dmom... it seems so overwhelming. I still am just tempted to drop a match in the box and say "Whatever." I cannot for the life of me understand all these different bank accounts. One for ddad's business, apparently still open b/c the business has not been legally closed yet... one for her rental property, the one house that she is preparing to set up as a dual-residence... one for credit card... one for checking... one for money market checking... * sheesh * It is just totally unbelievable. SHE says, from an accountant's point of view, it is better to keep records separate. DH says this is just creating unnecessary confusion. I guess I can understand the separate accounts for business and rental, but beyond that, I'd put all my eggs in one basket, I believe. Of course, what looks like a separate bank account for a credit card is probably just the credit card statement, which goes through her local bank. * sigh *
I worked on it some more last night after we got home but I am NOT finished yet, and I may have confused HER re: some of my file names, but you know, how much more confused can it get? I have corralled papers from the kitchen table, the office chair, and TWO chairs plus the ottoman in the den.
I am also here to proclaim the magic of routines. I know y'all are waaay waaay beyond me on this, but this morning, after sleeping under the influence of Nyquil, I just could NOT get going. I have fallen off the (habit) wagon of doing my little morning exercise routine, Bible reading, and s/s of both main bathrooms, and after I ate, I just wanted to fall back in the bed. BUT... I told myself it would not take 15 mintues to complete all my "tiny" habits, so I could do them and THEN fall back into bed if I wanted to...
So... I started doing those things and in the meantime, ds called and wanted to come over and run/walk w/dh & me.
So now I am d2s, habits are done, and I'm ready to walk.
I'm still feeling miserable w/coughing and stomach upset, but I am pressing on.
Don't feel bad, Elizabeth! It took me a while to figure it out, too!What on earth is this A-river that everyone is talking about?
I really HAVE TO fit in some shopping time for myself, plus some shopping time w/dmom. I don't know, maybe I could combine the two. I have to get her two things though... a Christmas ornament and a picture frame.
Still waiting on one gift to arrive from ebay...
Still waiting on dfriend to complete the sweatshirt order...
* getting a wee bit nervous *
Dmom is still completely convinced that we WILL be having big family Christmas at her second house... I do NOT see how this can happen. I reminded her yesterday that she only has two weeks. Thinking of (((LadyM))) with all the moving activity added to normal Christmas prep... (((BIG HUGS)))
Happy birthday to LisaB's dd!
Need to visit my colorist, too, Harriet...
I am amazed at Kathryn's ds's thriftiness re: heat! Wow. We keep the thermostat on 73 here, and still feel chilly sometimes.
Waving to blessed -- thanks for the great start to the day! -- And waving to MT... love the idea of an orange sherbert sky.
Waving to Nancy... Harmony...
