Re: Move It Monday
I was thinking along the same lines...
Hi everyone!!
I've been awake since before 5. A nap is on the schedule later I think.
I have an entire buggy (Wayne calls it my granny buggy... I'm not a granny yet as far as I know.) full of laundry.
While I was "wasting time" earlier waiting for the sun to come up I hung up most of the clean laundry from last week.
I have had my hot chocolate and a bath. Also cuddled with one of the cats. (One cuddles and purrs and sleeps in the bed with us, the other hates to be held and sleeps on the couch. and I have only heard her purr once.)
Time to move!!

Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Re: Move It Monday
I have several errands to run this morning. Tomorrow I will go to the grocery store, as soon as I can get around. The gift shopping is done and the gifts are wrapped.
Dd2, dgd18 and her boyfriend are on their cross state drive and back home in one day excursion to pick up the puppy. Dd2 has came down with a cold and therefore feels less than 100%. Last night she came over to wrap gifts and only managed to wrap 12. She said she will come back tonight to finish. I don't see how, so I will try to get them finished.
Dd1 is doing her usual post I want a divorce routine. This is when she tries to act Happy, Happy, Happy and spends a lot of time with her dh. She also acts funny around the rest of us.
Yesterday as her and I were wrapping gifts, I brought up the subject of food for Christmas Eve and Christmas night. She didn't say a thing, so I am wondering if they will even show up. She acts jealous that dd2 is getting a puppy. She has 4 dogs and they were all rescues. They rescued the first 2, then took on Ruby when dd2 moved 3 years ago and they now have her dmil's dog. Between her and her dd, they turn absolutely green with envy, every time dd2 and her dd, do or get anything. It is just ridiculous.
Guess I better hit the shower and get those errands done. It is supposed to be really windy today and tomorrow.
Hi CathyS. Great minds think a like.

Re: Move It Monday
it's a perfect way to start the day d lilac, hi d cathy
dd older came through yesterday and did the kitchen, redid the dining room and front room with dh
I found out we have an extra guest for Xmas eve so I had to get a present -
I am feeling stressed as the girls coming are so excited and I have nothing planned today - only tomorrow - I still have so much prep ahead for Christmas eve
d lilac - it sounds like the one dd feels like she has something missing as well as wanting to be noticed by family for herself doing a job well done (which is her internal thinking not the families) . Jealousy showing need. There is some misunderstanding in her mind that she needs to show she is equal or better; she is fighting a battle with herself, her own self esteem (even if it seems like her ego is big - it usually comes off this way) - she needs to feel she is okay just on her own and not compete...Ignore it as much as possible and help by saying she is doing great on her own life. She has to figure it out in her own heart. Hopefully she will find her own happiness just being her without needing to compete.

Re: Move It Monday
Good morning all! Amazing - we have sunshine and clear blue skies. Temps will be in the upper 30s. I think it would be good for me to get out in the nice weather, so I'm planning on a jog at the park this afternoon, around 3 pm. I haven't done this for so long, but it doesn't matter. I'll be outside and moving - that is what is important! I think dh will join me.
Done:
- up
- s2s and self-care
- fed ddogs for dd16 since she fed them last night
- fed g. pigs
- checked on an amazon order - won't arrive until Jan. 5, but it's not a Cmas gift
- drinking tea
R will be here in 30 minutes for tutoring. Before then, I'd like to make progress on a.m. routine.
Later today:
- tutor R @ 10:30
- groc. store - not that much to buy since our fridge is overflowing with leftovers, we'll have Dutch pancakes tomorrow with our Sinter Klaas celebration (dh makes these), and we leave town Wednesday.
- exercise
- gift wrapping
- bunny care for dfriend
I'm pretty much done with gift shopping. 3 more things will be arriving tomorrow. I had forgotten that we had wanted to start a tradition of getting baby J a nice Christmas picture book each year, and I haven't done that yet. We did that as a family w/ small children, and we enjoyed (and still enjoy) reading our special Christmas books each year. We are celebrating with S, R, and baby J after Jan. 1, so I have time on that gift. Also, we only have one big gift (a nice Wacom tablet) for dd19, but it might be nice if she had some smaller gifts too. It sounds like ds and dd16 will get her some smaller gifts. There is one more thing we want to get dd16, but I think dh is going to be looking into it.
Off to look over R's material and then work on a.m. routine.

Re: Move It Monday
okey dokey - I am PANICING - the house looks lovely. My car is a shambles, I have some more presents to wrap. I have to set up the girls beds. Change the cat litter again. Wash the kitchen, dining room, front room floors again. I still have to figure out what I am cooking and when I can cook for Christmas Eve.
things I have to accept:
my christmas cards will be late again
I will not be able to decorate everything even though it looks really pretty with less.
Hi helia!!!
Wishing everyone a great day.

Re: Move It Monday
Hurray!!!! I slept all night. I feel so much better.
So far I have walked the dog (only around the block - I'm working up to my mile again)
Have two sheets of cookies in the oven - I keep the dough wrapped in the fridge and make a few every other day - that way we don't eat so many and they stay fresh.
Have the dishes in the sink (organized) and soaking. Does anyone else feel the need of organizing the dishes when they wash them - plates on the bottom, glasses and cups tucked around the sides, silverware across the front, bowls nested on top of the plates???? DH puts bowls where ever and plates on top of other things with silver between everything and it just drives me nuts. Guess I shouldn't complain if he does the dishes, right??
On my plan - today is the final pick up thru the house and wash, dry and put away day. That should clear the decks for dusting, vacuuming and washing everything on Tues and Wed.
Better go - I can smell the cookies.

Re: Move It Monday
Up at 5:15 I have the last letter in a card written and out in the mailbox yea! Turkey is thawing I have dishes going hens are fed.
I am out of pepper a store run is in order at some point. My neck is not 100% so I am taking it easy today. I need to clean the coop and run and put down fresh straw soon as it gets lighter out. Having some wind toda you. No yarn meetings this week.
Laundry to do dailies and some bwp work.
