Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
This is borrowed from a post Twin's started. I thought it very appropriate for today.

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
Good morning! It is lightly snowing. I have to go to the grocery store, so I will be going out in it.
I was able to get out of bed with just a tinge of soreness. I must have strong bones from all the milk I drank as a child.
Guess I better get some clothes ironed so that I can shower after breakfast..........

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
Hi everyone!
To do? It feels like everything, BUT I am thoroughly enjoying my first hectic Christmas season in too many years! For too many years, Christmas was another day of work and one of the worst work days of the year because the houses we were taking the wheelchairs to were never accessible.
I promised myself that I would turn off the computer and get out and get things done. Banking and cleaning are the top things on my list.
Have a great day everyone!

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
Feels like my list is long.
Ds didn't have an overnight (it was an evening shift) so he slept at his place but will be over when he wakes up. Which means I don't have all morning.
I'm starting to fall behind badly. Making a Grinch face for dsil's gift has been fun but I'm taking ages and I haven't even started in on Rudolf. In that case I might just grab a colouring sheet off the internet and use that because cutting small lines in duct tape takes forever. If these wrapping jobs turn out, I'll post pictures. As I was duct taping buttons for the mouth of the snowman, I thought, "Harriet would be sewing these on"
Table still needs to be done and we need to practice the singing more.
I also need to s2s. Dressing twice today - once to get things done around here and again for the performance.

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
I have eaten breakfast and ironed my clothes.
I am dealing with a gagging feeling. I hope it is sinus drainage and not a tummy bug. Decided to wait and see if it settles down. I do not have time for this.......
I keep forgetting that the Frozen pjs that I bought for the little girls need hemmed. I am thinking I should wash and dry them before I do that, so the hem will look better and not bunch up after washing them.
Going to try for that shower.............

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
This is perfect for me today, Lilac. Posting todos/ and tadas helps me stay on track. The snow sounds lovely! It is going to be a green/brown Christmas here, although it looks like there is some snow forecast where my parents live - so we might have a white Christmas after all! Highs here are mid to upper 40s for the next 5 days. Well, high on Christmas is forecast to be 38.
Smiling at CathyS enjoying a hectic Christmas for a change.
That's quite a list, Twins. I think I'll join you. It sounds like Kathryn is joining you too!
Today, will be all about preparing to celebrate Sinter Klaas tonight and getting ready to travel tomorrow. I'm glad that I've already wrapped about 80% of all gifts. 4 more are arriving today and I couldn't wrap dd16's gifts last night b/c she was in the room with me. I still need to wrap one more gift for dfriend R. I'm also glad I had my van worked on a couple weeks ago. No need for last minute oil changes or calls to our mechanic to have something looked at.
Our family stayed up until 1:15 a.m. last night. I'm not sure why. . .We ended up talking together in the living room. It was around 1:30 by the time I went to sleep. So, I'll be tired today.
TaDa!
- up
- fed g. pigs
- tea
- checked emails; nothing going on
ToDos:
- a.m. routine
- laundry
- polish my shoes
- exercise - it felt REALLY good to get out and jog yesterday. I need to do that more often, as weather permits.
- bunny care
- buy/figure out small cooler to transport the honey baked ham I'm picking up tomorrow a.m.
- finish wrapping presents
- clean g. pig cage
- pre-measure and bag up dog food for the time we're away
- vacation stop on national paper (I've already done the local one)
- bank
- help create a gag gift for dh, ds, dd19, and dd16
- help write a poem to go along with each gift
- make Dutch letter cookies
- dinner: Pannekoeken (Dutch pancakes - dh always makes these) and probably some fruit/salad to go with them. We keep a small supply of stroop (Dutch syrup - molasses-y) in our cupboard to go with them.
- our family celebration!
If I get this much done, I'll be very pleased! I'm wanting to leave around noon tomorrow to allow plenty of time since it looks like the weather won't be the greatest for traveling. Ironically, we're going to have rain in the afternoon up here, and it looks like we will encounter snow as we travel south.
Next for me: a.m. routine (s2s, make bed, reclaim kitchen, start laundry, QT)

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
Good Morning!
Lilac - I hope your body heals quickly from the fall. OUCH!
I'm spinning this morning. There are too many things that need my attention. I'm going to start with a list of 5 things.
1. - Move rabbit, cage, food and water. Get set up in new location.
2. - Order attic pull-down stairs. Need to find ladder before I do that so I can take good measurements of existing one.
3. - Set up extra bedroom.
4. - Crawl under house to investigate where water is coming from. I thought it was from my blunder with the RO water system, but now I suspect a leak.
5. - Think through when best 3 hour eating/snack times would work for me in prep of starting THM eating style.
Hum on second thought..........maybe I ought to scratch that list and go to town instead. I still have over a dozen people to buy Christmas gifts for. LO doesn't have a single gift yet.
My choices are to either go Christmas gift shopping today or tomorrow. I don't like either option but I am out of time and can't postpone it.
Yesterday I had over 15K steps. I was finally able to get our dogs moved and set up at BH. I have missed having them with me but couldn't move them until fence issue was solved. We share a fence line with 4 dogs - two of their dogs are bullmastiff (very large) so I need to be sure we could keep our big dogs safe before they were moved into BH yard. This weekend a 7' privacy fence was installed between the dogs so now the dogs can't see each other. Problem solved! I was also concerned with how the 5 horses that stay in pasture along another of our fence lines would react to our dogs barking at them. So I stayed outside with the dogs for several hours after moving them until they settled in. I used that time to clean up a couple flower beds and also rake about 20 wheel barrows loads of leaves in the yard. I dumped the leaves over the fence to the horses. By the time the sun was setting the dogs were settled in and the horses are getting along with them......and my body was telling me that I had over worked it with all yard work.

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
Finished the big gifts (still have to create cards and them wrap them for the experience gifts - their actual expensive gifts are experiences, not stuff.)
Posted a picture of them in the Artsy section here:

Not sure if that was the correct spot, since I'm not artsy, I peek in that corner of the village!

Re: Tuesday To Do/Ta Dah!
Morning y'all...
Just have a few things to do today. Have a dr's appointment this afternoon and a few things to do around the house. I'm with everyone else with the sinus thing and will add that to my list when I talk to my PA who I dearly love. I have. Seen her for abou 10 months and can't wait to see her expression when she sees the new me. Think the last time I was at her office I weighed close to 30 lbs more than I do today
Need to start my day... Lilac I got my new Xmas pjs ready for myself yesterday. LadyM... I love mastiffs ... Slobber dogs but big for sure. I loved my time living on the farm with all the animals and open spaces. Reading about yours brings back all those wonderful and crazy memories. Cathys I can relate to that "new to me" type Xmas. I remember when it happened to me. Take time to enjoy it. Mine was an amazing experience.
