Had to go back and search for Lucylee's news yesterday. Don't know how I missed it when I thought I was searching rather well. Anyway, glad to know you went to the doctor and are getting some help. Hope it all works out for you and you can feel better now.

Monday Lunch Bunch was great yesterday. Glad it is over. It gets harder and harder to do as I age. (77 in 2 more days. Can't believe it. Where did those years go?)

Mr. Guy and I going to a Tamale place today. I am hungry for them and this place is supposed to be really really good. I hope!

Turkey is in the oven. Late.

As I was getting ready to s2s, I called to dh to pull it from the freezer (it cooks from frozen.) Then, before I was completely dressed, I decided I wanted more tea so went into the kitchen. Glanced at the weight and cooking instructions and realized we'll be eating at 6 instead of 5! Oh well....

I'm eating my breakfast now while I think about what to do next. Presents are still a priority.

Lady Maverick I'd ditch anything on your list that isn't to do with Dec. 25 (or any other get-togethers you are a part of) and add in items that are. For me, no paperwork will be done between now and the 29th.

Hello! I am spinning also. From one thing to another. Every surface I look at all through the house is covered with something. grrrrrr

But things always look brighter in the morning, don't they? After a very stressful day yesterday, as we got some problems worked through things look better. This morning I've called for new insurance cards. Some things have been "lost". 'nuff said 'bout that.

My Ta Dahs: My friend in nursing home was thrilled with my card and poinsettia I took yesterday. She was so happy I came. I know I had to wrench that hour out of my schedule, but it was good that I did. And I talked with dsmil about the Christmas cookies I hung on her front door handle (she was out) and you'd have thought I'd given her a basket of gold! So that was worth the effort and time also.

Several time wasting phone calls this morning done. 1 LOL folded and put away. I am moving through the house trying to put stuff away.

Todo's: 2 pumpkin pies to make. Cleaning out car and cleaning the windows inside and out of the car and a truck. We are both bothered by the haze on the glass, our last trip (thanksgiving) was more difficult because I'd not gotten to the windows.

And I know I'll be helping DH a bunch. It appears we are without a helper once again.

Checking my list from yesterday:

1. Done! Set table
2. Tidy apartrment
3. Done! keep up with laundry
4. Done! Help dh come up with a set list for tomorrow
5. Learn Italian (or at least one or two carols in Italian!) Needs more practice
6. Done! Rewrite the meal plans and make up a detailed shopping list.
7. Done! Come up with a centrepiece for the table.
8. Done! wrap presents

Yesterday I also baked 2.5 dozen cookies, made cranberry sauce and did the first round of grocery shopping (I'll need to go again tomorrow.)

I'm at a break point now, so I'll go back and finish getting dressed (need makeup, jewelry, brush teeth, do hair.)

Just caught sight of the time. Hmmmmm. Oh, well, it will be what it will be. I'm going to do a stash and dash first, then finish getting dressed.

Hi everyone! Last night, I got the immediately needed webwork done. It was easier than I was expecting, but the pending stuff was harder and I just couldn't get it done. Will need tech support for it. I also returned and checked out more library books. Since my car is still at the 'spa', I had to drive in again. Really prefer the train/bus.

Tonight, the cat sitter is coming to get keys and find out where everything is. I am supposed to go to a friend's house to watch movies. Do I have time for this? No. I am going because she has two out of town guests that I want to see before I leave for Alabama. I think I will take the sewing I need to get done for my niece (buttons on a doll dress). My friend likes to turn off all the lights to watch movies (which I don't like because you can't DO anything), but I have to get this done, and she will just have to deal with it.

At payroll, the deployment is working now, but still running, which means still no reports. I can't stay late today because of the car issue. Once the deployment is complete, things should not take too long.

Harmony: Thanks for the Taurus/Sable info. Unfortunately, they have discontinued Sables altogether, not just the wagons. I had an online chat with a Ford agent and he recommended the Edge. It is a crossover, but looks more carlike than the other crossovers. I'm not sure the cargo area is as big as my Taurus though. Will have to check it out some time. Of course, by the time I actually decide to get something new, that may be discontinued as well. If I wait long enough, will they make more wagons? Ideally, I would have a 1959 Chevrolet Nomad wagon.

Elizabeth, I was surprised at how small your wagon felt to me. Years ago we had both a Taurus and Sable wagon and they felt big then (I had a 8 seater Taurus.) But then we had vans in between and when I got into your car it felt small to me, probably because I remembering the vans. Crossovers are big now so maybe you'll find something that fits the crates and other stuff you need to lug around.

Makeup is on and I've had some lunch. Apartment is 'stash & dashed', plants are watered and dh and I practiced the songs 2 more times, working on the pronunciation. It will be what it will be.

Dh is washing dishes now, so I should go and change and do my hair. I'm hoping I'm not forgetting anything.

Hello, villagers ~
Oh boy, we're into the last-minute tasks to get ready for tomorrow night's family gathering. I did all the normal chores this morning and took a nap.

Now I'm planning my route for errands this afternoon.
1) post office
2) local gift shop closes at 2
3) ATM
4) drive to The Big City
5) exchange SS co2 canister at Tget
6) clothing store to find a pretty top for oldest DSis; if no luck, go to Plan B
7) gas station
8) grocery store for fresh veg & cheese

Before I go, I need to
1) eat lunch
2) finish the dishes
3) put soap & water in the crock pot to soak
4) bring a bunch of misc. stuff in from the car

To-Do Tonight
1) make fudge
2) retrieve the wrapping supplies from long-term storage
3) wrap giftts
4) mend red coat

If the errands take longer than expected (and they usually do), I can postpone wrapping until tomorrow morning.

[ ] bake cookies
[/] meet w/dbil * y'all pray for us * Waiting on dh to finish s2s...
[ ] pick up monogrammed sweatshirts from dfriend
[ ] finish wrapping presents
[/] laundry * got a load in the washer to get started while we're at dbil's office

I'm not well, but I think I'm better... I'm sure it will take the antibiotic a few doses to do its magic...

Laundry is all washed and dried and folded. Just need to hang up and/or put away.
Banking is all done for the year.

Stopped at a local charity and gave them a very nice donation. This is the first time that I had ever been able to do this. Thank you for the prompt from my accountant and asking Wayne where he thought I should donate.

Also left a unopened box of powdered detergent at the Laundromat. It's a brand I don't use, plus I have really taken to loving pods. No fuss, no mess.

Stopped at Wayne's work and left a tin of Quality street for the guys. Why don't garages hire women??? I guess they can't change tires as well as the men.

Our Christmas tree fell over. All of the ornaments except the "Our first Christmas" are rustic/wooden/tin. Hearts/canoes/moose/bears. There is now a teeny chip on the only breakable ornament. That's okay. Nothing is perfect.

I think I have had enough of a break.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
