Hey Twins, what's your plan for tomorrow? (I'm looking for good ideas!)

A teensy, tiny, bit of paperwork is done. I've also tracked down the receipts for the returns.

I'm on top of the laundry.

I'm not very hungry so getting on top of dinner is hard. I'm too full even for something light. Maybe leftover pizza. For lunch I had the remaining pre-made salad and leftover meatballs. And a few baked Lays.

It was sunny today but I didn't get outside.

Dh still sounds pretty awful. From time to time he has to spend a while blowing his nose. And he's feeling under the weather. No fever any more, though. So that is good. This is the way ds's cold went (about 10 - 14 days ago), it started with lousy feeling and cold but with a high fever. Then the fever disappeared and it was a manageable cold. I've reminded dh to start up with the nasal rinse since he had that bad infection August/September/October. Let's avoid that complication....

Kathryn, I just spoke to dh and I think I'm going to make lasagne and we'll have dinner here at home. Just sent a Facebook message to friends (yesterday or day before was her bd) inviting then to join us. Dkids and Z are already lined up for the evening. House isn't in bad shape so all should be well. Other option is to go out, but hopefully I can have it together to make lasagne tomorrow, and do extras for kids to take back to school.

Long, long afternoon. I left here around 11:30. Drove by the emissions testing place on the way to dmom's but long line so I went on. Got her to the doc w/o issues although I think this damp wet weather is hard on her. Got her back home and upstairs, briefed dbro on visit and left info w him.

From there I stopped off at a very large, old local cemetery. Recently I found a death certificate for my father's uncle verifying that he died on smallpox and was buried in this cemetery - a story that my dad had told. Dad had said there was a smallpox epidemic at the time and the uncle was taken from the house and died w/o the family seeing him again, and that he was buried in this cemetery. I had actually assumed it the flu epidemic after WWI but it really was smallpox in 1915. Anyway, the cemetery's online site has a search function, and I found his listing and today stopped at the office and got directions to his grave. Shocked to find a readable stone there after almost 100 years. Got a photo also.

Also did emissions testing, waited in line for awhile but got it done so I can renew my registration.

Elizabeth, stinks not to be able to do what you need to do at work!

Helia, your response to bw2 was perfect! This is such a kind, caring group.

Quiet evening at home w dh out. I ordered a pizza already.

Dh and I are reheating pizza for dinner and then he's going out to see the Hobbit. None of the kids are interested so he'll go by himself. He knew better than to ask me.

Tomorrow we'll probably go out since we'll have his 'birthday' dinner on Wednesday with our friends. Ds might join us tomorrow, it depends on his work schedule.

d twins it's amazing about the cemetery stone that was 100 year old and readable. We love family history here as well.

Blessed: Twins and my dhs share a birthday tomorrow. So not quite New Years but awfully close!

Dh is at his movie.

I've managed to reconcile one account, including matching the paper receipts. So on to the next one!

Aw, yes, blessed, you are really a very sweet person. I too flair up once in a while and am mad at myself later for not handling things more calmly. Remember, people forgive and forget. It is hardest to forgive ourselves.

I think we're all a little wound up from the holiday let-down. Like balloons with air going out, pffffffffft! flying all around. Myself, I'm running around like a chicken without its head trying to catch up and get one step ahead.

Was so tired, after dinner I fell right asleep. Left notes and papers out for DH who went off to bed in the meantime. He goes to get a wisdom tooth extracted tomorrow, do not know if he wants me to accompany, but I said I would if he'll call me.

Trying to make sense out of my desk tonight. Piles of papers. Got about half-way down through the pile. I'm not wanting to leave the mess for tomorrow, I might not be able to sleep thinking about it all. Does that make me a bit ocd? I wonder.
