I wasn't tough about ANYTHING today. I think I am in rebellion/on strike. I told dh I felt like I had been pushing, pushing, pushing, ever since we left Florida last Friday... push push push for that day's long drive... push push push for Saturday's ballgame & THAT day's drive... push push push to get up and go to church Sunday (and then dh invites dgs over, and we almost had to babysit all afternoon Sunday, but ds/ddil changed their plans and we only spent about an hour or so w/ds & dgs here)... push push push Monday, errands... dgs... went out to eat w/ds & dgs.... Tuesday, push push push to get all that Christmas stuff put up and then YESTERDAY... push push push to get all the ironing done. Didn't even s2s yesterday. Just pulled on some pants w/the t-shirt I slept in. * sheesh *

Today, I really could have just slept all day long. But no... took a shower about 2:00 pm and dh & I went out to try to use our gift cards from dbil and swap a couple of things. Ate at one of those Chinese/Misc buffet places; that was pretty good. Went to see the movie Inherent Vice. I do not recommend this movie, btw, but a couple in the theater with us LOL all the way through it. It was kinda funny in places, but very much earned its R rating, and moved kinda slow, in spite of it being something of an action/crime picture. And as dh said, they kept introducing new characters as if we should have known who they were, but there were so many, we couldn't keep them all straight. It's a weird movie.

I did not use my gift card to B elk, either. I swapped a couple of tops (for better sizes) I had received from dh & from dbro & his gf, but I just didn't see anything that really grabbed me and I certainly did not want to try on anything.

I may still be on strike tomorrow. Saturday is another trip to college town -- oh -- and I hope Harmony's dgs has enjoyed his visit.

Thinking of those still with the flu... we're still coughing here, but obviously doing better.

FelineFriend -- re: your skin. I must say the California Baby Super Sensitive Baby Wash/Shampoo recommended by the dermatologist has totally changed my life! It is wonderful.
Dmom had to go to the dermatologist yesterday. Her skin is so think that when she scrapes her arm, for example, she gets a terrible skin tear and bleeds like crazy. She said she fell at dgmother's house the other day -- I didn't even get into that with her -- and had a bad place that was bleeding so the dermatologist got her on in yesterday and gave her some rx cream. He told her the reason she is having this problem is b/c of years of sun damage. Dmom has always had a sorta olive complexion and tanned a thousand times more easily than I. She said she had never had a sunburn until her late teens, when she lay on a float all day in Florida. She didn't think she COULD burn, she said. (I, OTOH, have never thought I could tan. I turn red and fade, for the most part.)

Also thinking of Dee & family, b/c I know even though the new guardian family has things well under control, dgd must be on everyone's mind right now. (((BIG HUGS)))

Thinking of ALL of YOU, actually... but I'm way behind today, and those were right on my mind from my quick cuop.
Tomorrow is another day.
