Sunday - Paradise by the Dashboard Light

Post by Elizabeth »

Though it's cold and lonely in the deep dark night,
I can see paradise by the dashboard light!

That's right! Elizabeth's Own Auto Company strikes again! Dashboard light bulbs are replaced, car is put back together and ready to go at 12:05 am. I just wanted to tell someone.

Welcome to Sunday - and dashboard light to boot for Elizabeth. I love your can do approach and Elizabeth's Own Businesses.

Waving to Lucylee and all to come in when morning comes your way.

Church this morning.
Washing
I'm otd to support group next.

Not sure where my good intentions went today.

edit to add

dishes done

Have a good day,

My glimpse of paradise
Emerald green grass
Growing fast
Is it time to mow again already?
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Good morning, villagers ~
WTG Elizabeth! Thanks for opening the thread today.

I was swamped the past couple days with volunteer work.
* Friday I spent most of the day on the computer designing and typesetting flyers and registration forms for the 4 big events the sewing group has planned this year.
* Yesterday was the sewing group general meeting, which took over 5 hours with the set-up and clean-up included. (I'm looking forward to the days when I will just be an audience member and can wait to arrive until the meeting actually starts, and leave as soon as it's over.)

When I finally got home from the meeting yesterday, DH took me out for lunch. He was craving real pizza. He said his boss had bought pizza for lunch for the whole department Friday, but the only kind the boss ordered was cheese. DH says that cheese pizza is not a meal, and it isn't even pizza -- it's only the base for the real ingredients!

What I have not done the past 2 days is very much sewing, and I have not done any decluttering, so I am woefully behind schedule in both. Will try to catch up today.

Hi everyone!

Elizabeth you are awesome!

Right now Wayne is cleaning the bathroom. I just did all the dishes and he insisted that I play on the computer. He absolutely refuses to let me clean the bathroom.

Groceries have been purchased and put away. Football is on the tv.

I purchased a queen size duvet on Friday thinking Wayne wouldn't want to share. He likes it, but I get most of it for most of the night. I also bought a duvet cover and a matching bed skirt and a set of sheets. This is a huge thing for me to be going out and doing shopping for a home and not having to seek permission for doing so. Now I can buy stuff that I like and want and pick coloured and patterned things and I know that Wayne will be more than happy with anything I bring home.

I got my hair cut on Friday and I even had it styled. There are curls everywhere. Big, bouncy curls. Talk about a new me. Wow.

clapping - bravo

we are going to church in the evening (I would rather go at 8 am for the really small mass in the chapel)

I was going to go downtown today for the the rally for France at the Daley center but dd's are worried about any violence by goofy people. Personally I want to be there but I will hang up my French flag today (as soon as dh finds it mmmm) - my other flags are together - American is on a pole ready to hang up but the rest - alsace, door county decorative flag are all in one place ... mmm

today: continue my work

your desk question: how is it set up? do you have a place for mail, bills, stamps etc.? I am trying to get a feeling of what I want to accomplish in these area to make it streamlined and easy to use. How about your files? how about your budgets etc.. how do you keep track of the money you spent and on what - -I am trying to learn as my system is beginning to work but not well enough regarding my desk and filing
