Lots of possibilities in the first day of a new week.
Who knows how terrific it might be!
The word "Most" might not even cover it!
We may be forced to become ungrammatical to tell how bestest it is.
I've enjoyed the first 2 hours of my day. i need the quiet time to reset my ears. I'm not entirely on schedule but enough so I can still meet the upcoming alarm requirements.
Today I will only have to be out of the house to take/pickup LO to/from school and take him to karate lessons this evening. Today is the warmest of the next few days so I want to do ahead all the outside chores that I can. The furkids need some TLC.
I have our THM meals planned and prep started for today.
B: fried eggs in butter, caramelized onions/peppers
L: Turkey salad sandwiches. Pork rinds with Honey Mustard dip
D: Chicken fried steak, quinoa and green beans
Snacks: Chocolate pudding with cool whip. Cheese crackers
Time to wake LO and get him ready for school.
And so my day begins....

I need to deal with numerous messes. Just a buildup of stuff that has been growing steadily since Christmas. We were both sick last week, and things just look so awful.
Wayne has requested that the stuff on the toilet tank top be dusted. We have no storage in the bathroom at all. Tiniest sink on the planet that slopes down from the wall. I will do that hot spot. He has also requested work shirts. I know that they are clean and in one of numerous clean laundry piles.
It is snowing here.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
We got back into town yesterday afternoon and got home around 2 p.m. I napped for an hour and last night we went to the federation annual meeting (required attendance.) This morning I got Moses to the vet for his surgery - cleaning up a ruptured sebaceous cyst on his leg and teeth cleaning - and I am still feeling exhausted from last week and the weekend. It's a cloudy rainy day here.
I am going to take meds and then nap for a bit.

Hello everybody. Yes, a new week, and I am looking forward to feeling better, and making some progress around here.
I was ill this weekend. The flu that DH had finally got me in full force. Deep congestion and cough. I sound a bit better than I did yesterday. Sat. eve. only one teenager and his father showed up for the bonfire, so to make it less awkward I sat out there with them and we called our next-door neighbors. The man came over so there was 5 of us and we had a very nice fire going. However, it was in the 60°'s and although the fire kept us warm, the cold air had both DH and I coughing and we both stiffened up badly from the chill. It was not good but we did not know how to cancel it.
So yesterday I took it as easy as I could. I did manage to get the laundry all caught up, couple loads folded, and a couple more washed and hanging up inside the garage. If that's dry I'll put that away next. Neither of us has been eating much, we don't feel like cooking and I've lost some appetite.
blessed, if you are still looking for desk ideas, I'll give you my system, since I seem to be the paperwork queen around here. I have a nice sized desk with hutch over top in a corner of the living room. Out on the surface I keep stamp roll in a holder, stapler, calculator, pencil can, desk pad, 2 letter trays for projects. Inside the hutch are 3 letter trays with to-pay bills, paid/filing, and miscellaneous; on the other side are folders, 3-ring binders with business things I must keep track of. The center drawer has my checkbook & register; 2 file drawers have bank statements, rental house file, etc. I keep little stuff in drawer organizer inside the smaller drawers: paperclips, staples, rubber stamps, folder labels, index cards.
Before I had all this business stuff, I had my whole financial system in 2 clear plastic shoe-size boxes and 1 accordion folder. I would put up a card table and work a couple times a month. Before that, in a different house, I used a kitchen drawer and would pull up a bar stool and work on the counter. When I don't have to do all this business stuff I'm sure I will be downsizing a lot! I keep bill receipts in a file cabinet (2-drawers) in the office room but I purge those every year. I just keep the stuff I must for taxes.
Good luck, blessed. It feels lovely to get this stuff organized.
Just sat down for a break with a cup of peppermint flavored coffee (sounded horrible combination to me......until I tried it) and the timer set at 15 minutes to keep me from sidetracking.
In the 2 hours since taking LO to school I have.....
** cooked DH and myself breakfast and cleaned up kitchen
** stripped 3 beds, gathered night clothes and towels. Started those in the washer
** Put away 2 LOL done last night & earlier this morning
** vacuumed middles in all the rooms except bedrooms. The bedrooms I slowed down and included the carpet edges.
** Mopped all the hard floor surfaces in the BH. I have been mopping daily (except Sabbath) since receiving the new mop system. I keep thinking I won't need to mop daily......but the water is always extremely dirty. So, as long as the water gets that dirty I'll keep mopping daily.
** Moved lO mattress and put an matching bedspread on LO box springs to be a bedskirt. I wonder if it will stay on better than the previous bedskirt?
Timer just went off and coffee cup is empty.

The apartment looks good-to-great. Few hotspots because the super was coming in this morning to inspect smoke alarms and plumbing. He knows what's causing the smell in the drain (actually it is the toilet) so will fix that, figure out something to do about my bathtub drain (we need a hair catcher) and send the plumber to permanently tighten the kitchen sink taps (which work lose after 3 months or so.) The tap drip in the spare tub is normal (it stops after a few minutes.)
I refilled the baking pans on the radiators. They are evaporating 1.5 gallons of water a day into the apartment and the humidity is slowly getting better. Our bedroom gets over 40% each night. Dd's godfather pointed out that bringing the level up will be a slow process because all the furniture has dried out so that has to be re-hydrated as well. Our bedroom seems to be there now. It stays at 26 - 28% through the day without the humidifier (or the doors/vents closed) and then goes up over 40% at night. The main rooms still fluctuating but tend closer to 20% now (up from 14%) and spike overnight (I block half the vents at night.) I've added a pan to the radiator in the office and it went dry in the first 10 hours so that room must have been really dry. Same thing in the spare bedroom. I wish there were more ledge radiators in the living and dining rooms but those rooms each have one ledge one (which have pans on them) and one sloped one which I can't put water on.
It is plant watering day so I'll get to that as well.
My focus today will be on church annual reports. I have a number to write plus I appear to have a meeting on Sunday afternoon. There's a conflict in our schedule that I'm trying to work out but in the meantime, a report must be written.
Good morning, village! I'm playing hookey from work today (I pretty much never take sick time, and am feeling a bit burnt out, so I'm giving myself a mental health break )
Today begins the process of decluttering, sorting, organizing, and packing for the big move in four months. I went to a U - Haul place the other day and bought all the 3cu ft boxes they had (42!!) so that we can move stuff over to the new place as we pack here and clean/declutter/renovate over there. I know I'll need more boxes before I'm done, but this should give us a good start.
I'll also need to make a run to the grocery store today, and I want to stop by The R unning R oom to see if I can find a decent pair of runners - the ones I have now are quite beyond dead!
First up on the l*st:
- complete daily cards
- pack at least 3 boxes
- fill a box with stuff to donate/give/throw away
- finish sewing kittycat pads
- grocery store

I'm interested in the bills organization questions and solutions here. We have a file for each bill in our filing cabinet. Those bills I pay online, I still print out a receipt each time I pay. I still save all cc receipts, and I set up a large plastic envelope folder at the beginning of each year for that year's cc receipts. We only really have one cc. I want to save all receipts for 7 years as I think that was a rule of thumb when I started tracking our finances, and I'm always concerned that there might be a mistake or something. . Does that still hold? Dh doesn't save any receipts anymore since the cc ones are all online now. He does save the receipts on large purchases that come with warranties. And he saves car repair receipts. I think each new appliance also has a file in our system, as does each car. And we save all tax info. for 7 years.
