Just kidding... have a great time!

LOL! Have fun Cathy! You're not excited at all, I can tell.

Full day today. Actually, every day is a full day. I just have a full day away from home today, about 8 hours out. I do have an hour, maybe, at home in the middle. I'll leave in about 2 hours.

9:10 leave for WW meeting; I can't stay long
10 - 11:30-ish meet with my mentee on campus
12 - 12:50 home for lunch, let dogs out of their crates, making sure I'm ready for class and tutee A
12:50 leave for work
1:30 - 3:30 class
3:45 leave for drive across town in bad traffic
4:15 - 5:45-ish tutor A
out for dinner with dh and dd16; either meet them somewhere or stop by home first

Before I leave in 1:50 now, I'd like to:
- prep for my mentee
- prep for class
- prep for tutee A
- do as much of the a.m. routine as possible

LOL, Cathy.

Well, Lynlee and our Florida villagers could probably do some of that today. Lynlee was waiting for it to cool down yesterday, I noticed.

helia, you have just got to get off that couch and stop eating bonbons and watching soap operas.

Got the twelve o'clock news blues
And I've given up hope for the afternoon soaps
Too much time on my hands. - STYX (Tommy Shaw)

Have fun, Elizabeth and dd.

Well, speaking of the news blues, it is NOT good to hear your spouse, watching the local news in the early a.m., suddenly shout "Oh, noooo!" :( We are coming to grips here with the arrest, on several charges, of the child of an old friend of HRH. It is a very sad story of drugs.

blessed, you were probably just teasing about thinking you are going to take 2 weeks to get over a day of indulgent eating. (smile) But I wanted to tell that my low (no?) sugar day yesterday took 3 pounds off, even though I had 1,200 calories. My raspberries were the only "sugar". Obviously, this says a lot more about my "unfortunate" eating the day before than it does yesterday's, but it sure does make me feel better to have that fixed quickly!

Sitting here now with my small apple for fruit "first breakfast". I always have to balance for digestion and have at least a little fibrous fruit.

Although I did not "cook" last night (I wouldn't want to shock anyone here), I did "assemble" as Ken In Canada says, and we ate simply at the table at home with no more of this "guys' bad decisions at the pizzeria" stuff.

Today's the day we see Penguins of Madagascar. We had tentatively set up a date for it the second Tuesday of December but then I remembered I had a meeting. It has taken this long to coordinate a time suitable for all.

Not quite as exciting as Elizabeth's concert!

I'm up and s2s before 8 because someone is coming to caulk the bedroom window which whistles when there's an east wind. And the super will be here to fix the dryer fuse today, as well. In the meantime, the laundry that was in the dryer is now dry on the drying racks so I need to fold and put it away in a bag to give to ds.

Ds is coming by around lunch to grab my bus pass and get his hair cut. Then he'll come back here and drive to the movie himself since he has an early dinner with friends from work. But parking here is free and the bus is only $3 since he'll be able to get down and back on one fare.

It is really, really, windy today, so although the temperature isn't very cold, it will be an unpleasant day outside. I'm not planning on doing any major walking except on the treadmill today. All the other errands are by car.

Whoa, I lost a post for the first time in ages.

I'm up! and s2s!

Someone is coming to caulk a window in the bedroom and the time given was between 8 and 4. The super will also be coming with a fuse for the dryer at some point. In the meantime, the clothes are dry and I need to fold them and put them in a bag for ds.

We are off to see Penguins of Madagascar this afternoon. I had set up a date to see it in early December but had a meeting so today's finally the day.

Not quite as exciting as Elizabeth's concert!

It is windy outside so I'm glad it is a car day. I think I hate wind more than cold. The roaring in my ears wears me down. It is even doing so this morning although I'm inside since there's a constant roar and the windows are shuddering.

Early morning wake up call here, I got up to say goodbye to house guest only it turns out they will come back through here after dh's Rotary club meeting, to which house guest from Israel is speaking.

Dinner here last night came out well in the end, however there were a couple of unfortunate issues. I have clogged the kitchen drain either at or around the garbage disposal by putting butternut squash peel down it. This morning tried the vinegar, baking soda, and boiling water treatment, dh tried plunger last night, so I have called "the man" already this morning. We haven't had occasion to call him since moving here so I hope he will still call me back and show up. The other unfortunate issue is that I am sure that I bought asparagus, new potatoes and strawberries on Wednesday for dinner last night, and they have all vanished somehow. I wonder if I left a bag of groceries at the store? I checked my car again, checked the outside refrigerator and all nooks and crannies of inside refrigerator but they are not here. If I had had the original menu of roasted pots and asparagus I wouldn't have been peeling butternut squash, obviously, and the sink would still be working. I was able to substitute butternut squash and a green salad with the salmon and dinner was quite good.

Today I have a PT appointment at 10 a.m. and then "body work" at 1:30. I think that Helia asked about body work last time I had it - it is myofascial release (MFR) massage therapy. Works on my posture, achy hips, left to right imbalance and general well being. Not what the massage therapist calls a "rub a dub" massage. I may need to cancel either of those if plumber responds to me and can get here.

So last night I didn't run the full dishwasher since it appears to be that the drain for the dishwasher drains to the garbage disposal, that is, above the clog, and I didn't want to risk the dishwasher not draining.

And as usual on Friday dcleaning lady is coming so I must do some straightening up and get ready for her as well. What a mess in the kitchen since I didn't clean up.....

Right now:
-boil eggs for breakfast (can put boiling water down the drain and see if it helps?)
-get dressed, wash up and brush teeth
-reboot laundry (sheets in washer from bed upstairs when I changed it yesterday, will need to put back on today)
-med/vitamins me and dogs
-straighten MBR and M bath (didn't do last night)
-work on kitchen clean up

School is closed here today - announced this morning after announcing two hour delay last night. Icy patches and "freezing fog." The sun is supposed to be out later however.

Hi everyone.

I wish I was going to the Styx concert. See what happens when I'm online in the middle of the night because I can't sleep.

I never got to the laundry yesterday. I started clearing out excess stuff from the health and beauty aids. Even though I have an identical linen closet here, for whatever the reason, I can't use the space the way I did at my previous apartment. It's a bit aggravating. Wayne commented last night that maybe I shouldn't be trying to have things the same way. He also commented favourably on my donating the stuff to a local charity and suggested a few of his things that could go there.

We have our weekly dinner date tonight. I need to get my nails done and wash my hair and do the laundry.
