I have been outside in the wind dealing with leaves chicken chores, and toddlerN is here. 51* outside now. Feels good to accomplish something today.

Re: Friday - STYX Day
Back home again. I'll need about 45 - 50 minutes on the treadmill in order to make my goal for the day so have started in on that. It is also warming me up (it is very cold outside.)
The move (Penguins of Madagascar) was hilarious. We were quite disruptive in the theatre. On the other hand it was not a good movie. So at the end we saw a flat story but were in stitches and felt we had be entertained. Unlike Boyhood which at the end we all agreed was probably a good story but we weren't entertained at all.
Ds headed off for his dinner out with friends and we took ds and dd out for dinner at a rib place where our dsil had the all you can eat meal because it was a $1 more than a large. He had 5 servings of ribs. Each serving up until 3 was smaller but then a larger serving came for 4 and he barely made it through the 3 ribs for serving 5. I had soup. Dd had two starters which she shared with me so I had enough to eat but not too much. My pants are really tight so I can't eat much while seated (literally, they are like having a gastric band on) and I had a late (but reasonable) lunch. So soup was enough and I'm not nearly hungry yet.
Dd and dsil had errands to run on the way home and felt bad taking us in the opposite direction from home so they went by bus and we picked up groceries from our local store. It is very cold out so I feel really bad for them except I know they have proper clothes and it is a short bus ride.
I'm going to try and get some work done this evening and then an early bed.
Wondering if I'll hear how my minister friend's 'date' will go tonight. He wrote me that he was meeting up with a female friend for coffee but late in the afternoon. His last email was at 4:15 and he was thinking he'll end up at a movie tonight (we've been emailing back and forth about movies all day) and so I'm wondering if he's thinking he'll be going out to a movie with her or if he'll just go by himself later. He's supposed to be at a course all weekend but he's been emailing all day so he's not paying overly close attention to the lecturer or reflecting on the material!

Re: Friday - STYX Day
I am here to humbly apologize to ELIZABETH. I obviously was not reading carefully this morning when I got you and CathyS mixed up. I am sorry! I hope you and dd12 enjoy every minute of your concert tonight!
I am not even going to try to cuops, especially after one mix up this morning. The day was busy but a good busy. All went well. WW even thinks I'm down .5 lbs., and I'll take that. Dinner out was at a favorite new-ish modern Japanese fusion restaurant. I've responded to an email from my ddad, and now I'm going to veg before going to bed. Starby has a vet appt. bright and early tomorrow morning at 9:20 - but that's all I have on my calendar for tomorrow.

Re: Friday - STYX Day
yay d helia!
have a great night sleep d kathyrn
dd younger was thrilled bc sailing club from school invited her for the weekend boat show (we went yesterday but she really wanted to spend time with them) so I dropped her off in the city - but told her no walking around alone or even with another girl - take the guys with them. She is thrilled because there will be 30 school sailing teams there.

CI:
[x] call dmom, tell her about our friend -- and while talking to her, found out that another mutual friend has passed away also -- father of one of dh's classmates
[x] ordered plant for dfriend's funeral service for dmom & us
[x] messaged back and forth w/dxsisil, re: land that dmom wants to buy
-- Interesting... will share more in J&C...
[ ] walk away the pounds (I have definitely been eating WAAAY too much lately and the scales are showing it, big time)
-- can I count 1 hour of high-low dusting? -->
[x] 15 min in bedroom
[x] 45 min in den
-- got both rooms dusted very well, baseboards to crown molding, ceiling fans, etc.
[x] put away church stuff
[x] put away Christmas card stuff and the last two small ornament boxes, which had been waiting for glue for Bugs Bunny, but were beyond rescue
[x] leave for ds's show tonight @ around 4:00 pm -- enjoyed that very much
