Running through and waving HI to y'all...

Busy morning with follow up dr's appointment. She showed up wearing a mask...seems she's coming down with something and is so worried about passing it along. I love her to death. She is SO pleased with my weight loss and vitals, and keeps telling me how beautiful I look...did I mention I love the woman

The rest of my day has been taken up with running errands. Had to drop books off at the library and then to the pharmacy. Had a go round with what my insurance co will accept...my dr ordered the generic brand of Oxybutynin for bladder control, but insurance only wants me to use the brand name.

There is an OTC patch by O xytrol that works great, but unfortunately I am allergic to the adhesive. So that means I need to call my dr back and get the prescription switched.

Bummer about Max Twins...Willis has a "short hair" skin infection. I have an antibiotic prescription for him as well. And Sadie the Wonder Dog, now 14, is starting to show her age so I know our day will be coming as well.

I washed the cloth inside the pans on the radiators and washed the pans as well. All but one cloth released the brown stuff it filtered. And the rust came off all the loaf pans. I've retired them and put out smaller and larger ceramic/glass items. A large vase, two winter jugs, another crystal fruit bowl. All have cloth in them to help wick the water up to evaporate faster. Combined they hold over 2 gallons and I know I was refilling at a rate of 1 gallon a day so we'll see if the wider openings of the crystal bowls make things faster or the narrower openings of the jugs slow things down.

I dead-headed some plants too. Could not tell I had watered them this morning, the surface of the soil is already dry.

Dinner is defined and the meat defrosting. It might be late, though, because dh had a hot dog at 3:15. I, on the other hand, ate 3 hours before that so am getting hungry.

I need to finish the kitchen cleaning chores so I can add the kitchen linens to the next load of laundry. Then I can get that done. I'm behind on housework for the week but hope to catch up tonight and tomorrow.

The tone came back but then left. Soundproofing isn't an option - all the windows would have to be replaced. That needs to be done (they are over 40 years old) but I'm pretty sure that won't happen for years. They did replace all our patio doors before we moved in but that doesn't help in the living room or kitchen where there are 2 other giant windows to let in the noise. Fingers crossed that the repair to the valve tomorrow solves the issue.

hmmm, maybe I'll copy this quote and use it as an impetus for myself, RR. It would be wonderful to go back north and have my Dr. (also a woman) notice a difference in me. Guess we can love her too!

Wondering about PT myself, Twins for my hands and fingers. I know I have to ask the Dr. in May about my right hand especially. My middle finger has become a 'trigger' finger and a lot of things are becoming almost impossible for me to do -like opening a can. Can't make a fist any more either.

Just got word that dh's doctor retired at the end of the year -knew it was coming, but dh was hoping to get some recommendations from him before it happened. Dh has had him for probably 20 years and like RR, loves him to death. Going to try sending him a card at his home, but I'm not sure of the street number, only the street and town. But I'll try that first. Dh has been traveling nearly 30 miles to this dr for a number of years just because he is so good. Know he will be very hard to replace. My own dr. is only 5 miles away.

Have to post a request from dd in Joys & Concerns, so guess I'll do that. Will continue to include your dd/gd3 in my prayers, LadyM.

Hi everyone! I am not sure if I have fixed my leak or not. When I get home, I will examine the glass under the faucet. If it doesn't fix it, I don't know what to do. I can't call in a plumber because (1) I am too cheap, and (2) I don't have a lot of time I can take off work yet. This morning, I missed my train. As I drove up the train was there, and if I had been able to park, I could have made it with a mad dash. However, no parking was left. I am going to have to get out the door earlier, I almost missed last time, too.

At payroll's planning meeting, I was not assigned any new tasks. I did have one leftover from last week and worked on it. I never like it when companies run out of work, that is how I have been laid off in the past. Have no fear! After an afternoon meeting with my boss, I am full up on tasks! And a lovely thing it is.

Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD12, which means Chinese food at the same old place. (After 7+ years of going every Tuesday night and Sunday lunch, it has gotten old). I need to check my email for stuff from the church to post to the website, recheck a library book, and actually READ the library book!

Nancy: While I am not the one who posted about the cat who lives to eat, I also have one.

Still no call from the vet. I realized after reading about dMacs that dResidentCat and dOldestFoster are closer to 15 than 14. (I assigned them my DD's birthday, so I can remember their ages as DD + 2).

Got the weekly kitchen chores done and the floors mopped. So I did almost all of the Tuesday weekly chores today. Tomorrow I'll go back and do the Monday chores. Because I was out running errands and then school, I didn't get any of them done except the bed.

Dh asked about going to bed early and I said I had laundry that still had 30 minutes to run. He asked if he could go ahead and I said yes. He hasn't moved from his keyboard yet.

I'm going to check email and then start getting ready for bed.

Yes I have had a terrific Tues. toddlerN did too. Got to my knitting class, got some fiber, did a store run. Dgd was home today w/ a rash, dgson was feeling puny so we just did a smigen of honework. Dd was feeling achey. H. was feeling rough too.

I felt great btw!
Did a walk doing the last 5 mi. on the ex bike.
Had the sittin hen on 6-7 eggs now, possible buyer for chickes if we do not want keep em.
Fog has returned.

Got a new batch of fiber to play with more in crafts thread when
I figure out what I'm doing with it.

Dee -- google your doctor -- you might luck up and find an address there. Or call his office and maybe you can get the address from them.

Dee, I find addresses all the time. I look them up on the property appraiser's website for our county. I put in the name (or as much of it as I know, sometimes I'm not sure of the first name) or I put in the name of the street. Wherever the property legal stats for your county are, that's where you'll find it. Also, he's probably getting mail forwarded from his old office to wherever he is now.

Yes, the Internet is a wonderful place to get addresses! Also, you can get ratings from patients, on how they judge the Dr.'s care, too! I was pleased when I read how my primary care physician saved a man's life once! He's an awesome Dr.!

I didn't get on-line until about 8:30 p.m. I was busy watching the President's State of the Union speech this evening, have been crocheting and doing snail mail.

DH came home from Costco with 3 surprises for me! 1 is a charcoal grey pair of Sketchers running shoes with shocking pink accents and aqua shoestrings, which were $29 marked down to $23! He found my size, which was the only pair there! He also got me plum jeans and a long-sleeved purple top, which is super nice-looking on me. The jeans are a size 16-W and the top was an XL, so I'm "guessing" it's a size 16, too. I have super long arms, so this top has super long sleeves with cuffs, so I'm very, very happy with the sleeve lengths.

It was a beautiful gorgeous day here today with a LOT of energetic and adorable birds! Our Kitty did something funny today. I was crocheting a chain of 103, for DGD-2's dress. I was counting aloud, DH was gone, the music was playing. I KNOW how I talk, when I talk about DGD, I GUSH, and when I said the chain, I said it in a "Grandma Gushing Tone"! My Kitty laid on her back, bearing her pinkish-white belly, and she stayed in that position, staring at me, (like she was smiling!) for ALL 103 CHAINS! I got the biggest "kick" out of her! When she's very, very happy, she bears her belly, at us, but she sure hates anyone to touch it! Wow. She'll get you, if you touch it! I think it's sensitive from her being "fixed" with the scar and nerves and all. (I can sympathize with her!)
