Wednesday Optimism and clarity

Post by blessedw2 »

Children are born with their own optimism. They have a clarity and a simplicity that we can only wish for.
I wish you a day where you feel optimistic and joyous.

All the other stuff is just extra that doesn't need our energy.. Have a great great day!

I'm still fighting coming down with this cold. Would wake up coughing and get a drink and doze off again. Had to get up by 7:15 as I could feel my BS quite low (for me) -it was 80. So now I've had meds, made the bed, ate breakfast and now am sipping coffee.

Dh has a meeting today at 2 but I've decided to stay home (our church here has it's annual meeting). As chair of the board of trustees he has to go. I was on the fence, but between not feeling great and the fact that we have a few packages arriving -one a new computer for dd- I didn't want to leave the house. They've had things stolen from the porch before...so....... I'm expecting my new mop, RR. Who thought I'd ever get excited over a new mop? Going to do our bathroom first off -it's been waiting and has woe-begone look whenever I go in there.

DS-A called yesterday to let us know he was starting to get some $$ in (I know Harmony knows of what I speak). As of the other day he had "out" over $135,000. Needless to say he's behind in most everything, but at least his bank (our credit union) works with him. We'd lent him a chunk a while back and perhaps will get a bit of that this week. He did say that the Buffalo stadium was supposed to pay up tomorrow for all the snow removal they did way back when. Can't imagine what they paid to have all that snow removed when they had those feet of snow! His portion alone, was over $27,000. And he only had one loader there. Can't even compute those kinds of figures. They've had good work loads, but people paying is obviously another story. But all his guys have to be paid, regardless. He'll not be 'rich' but at least can get some bills paid.

Sun's shining today -it was gray and sprinkling yesterday.

Went to lunch with dsisil and her sisters yesterday. Came home from there, picked up dh and we went to Bartow, FL to get our oil changed -and they washed our car. We have several non-discerning birds flying over dd's driveway evidently.

Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread, Blessedw2.

This afternoon is LEGO Club at the library. While we're there, my coworker and I will figure out how the tables will need to be arranged for Fancy Nancy Tea Party, to accommodate the guests and all the various activities.

This morning I need to work on some craft activities for the Fancy Nancy Tea Party.
I can do a couple loads of laundry this morning as well, and at least 15 minutes of decluttering.

Tonight's supper after LEGO Club will be easy burritos.

I pretty much copied & pasted, Blessedw2. I'll save my title for another Wednesday. (If I remember).

Good morning to the village! Bw2, what a nice positive opening for us. So sorry for duncle's lung cancer. Several of my family were heavy smokers and endured lung cancer, and mostly kept smoking all along. (Hugs) However you feel about duncle, (I seem to remember issues?) he will appreciate your strength and optimism.

I felt pretty good about yesterday, even Terrific! Some Ta-das:
-downloaded dmom's cking account and credit card
-prelim work on temple f/s, got reclassifications to bookkeeper
-stamping time
-did one module in NGS online "citing sources" e-course
-backed up Evernote (even tho there's a copy on my machine and a copy online at Evernote, I'm doing a third backup)
-Got rid of at more than 10 pieces of paper

I can't figure out what temple bookkeeper was doing. The financial stmt she sent me a few days ago didn't agree to QB by a couple of thousand dollars. She said she rec'd the transactions late but I don't know why she wouldn't have corrected the f/s? So altho she said she was knee deep in W-2s, I asked her to do the correction herself, instead of doing it myself.

For right now:
-breakfast
-meds/vitamins, refill for the week
-kitchen counters
-s2s
-walk ddogs

Dee, the hand/finger PT is for the injury to the two smallest fingers on my left hand, but I also asked doc to have therapist address arthritis in both thumbs as long as I was there for hand issues. At home I'm supposed to be doing tendon glides 20 times and doing that twice a day. Here's a link to the instructions at the top of this page: http://www.virginia.edu/uvaprint/HSC/pdf/05022.pdf I thought I had a decent range of motion in the finger that was broken - the ring finger - until I tried this.
