Re: Singular Sunday
my outstanding is not so much outstanding but practical work. I want to get things done for the week so i can feel at peace as I will be out of the house from 6 am to 7 pm with dd younger's therapy downtown. I plan on going with dd until she can feel comfortable getting to and traveling around the downtown area.
Things that would make my week easier:
I would love to have all the floors washed as yesterday got away from all of the family.
figure out and get things for dinner for the week
figure out lunches
get money for traveling and get a weeks pass for dd train ride and bus ride or taxi.
Make sure dh takes care of the animals
bring portable map of downtown
charge my phone at night
clean cloths for the week.

Re: Singular Sunday
Those sound like good goals, Blessedw2. Thanks for getting us off on the 'right' foot, Harriet. My singular Sunday is staying home from church. Hoping that I can stop the coughing and runny nose BEFORE our annual meeting up north. Have no excuses -I have to 'go'. Dh and dd just left for church -well 10 minutes ago.
Planning to go to db/dsil's tomorrow. So praying that this crud is not so evident by then so we can go. DD is taking the day off -it's an "in-service" day, but she has so many points built up that she doesn't need to take it. She did have an eye appointment but will reschedule that.
Haven't had breakfast yet and I can feel my BS dropping -was 109 when I took it a while ago. Love the days it's under 120. My goal is to have my Dr. smiling at me (like RamblinRose's) when I go back in May.
Ran a list out to dd and dh as they were pulling out of the driveway. Want to make 'That's Amore' soup again this week, but doubling the recipe. We all really liked it. (A Paula Dean recipe and easy!)
Time to eat and spruce up our bedroom a little -after all it will be on display for all our church to see up north. Now when was the last time you invited a whole bunch of people into YOUR bedroom?

Re: Singular Sunday
I've been puttering in our room and just sipping some coffee right now. Little cool here -dh turned on our electric fireplace and it's cozy in our room but chilly in the great room. Don't have to think about dinner -dd decided to make lasagna today. See the hamburger is thawing for that. Think I'll take a little rest before it's time to gear up Skype for our annual meeting. bbl

Re: Singular Sunday
Yay, my big "singular" purpose for today was to attend and get as much as I could from the annual meeting. Started at 12:19 and finished at 12:46. The big thing from today's meeting is that the whole 'roof project' is paid. They've paid $171,000 and have $8,000 yet to pay the painter. The project was estimated up to $210,000 so guess they did well! Think there's still some sound equipment to add to that, but overall did very well. The whole roof/sanctuary project is beautiful. We were able to follow progress online through lots of pictures and videos. Wish we'd been there last week for the dedication.
DD and dh still aren't home from church but they were going to the grocery store and may well have gone to lunch with a bunch from church first. DD did call to ask me if we needed milk. I said, "You're kidding, right?" The other day dh and I went to W mart and I had milk on my list but he bought a gallon too. Lo' and behold dsonil came home later that day with yet another gallon. So he went out and got another bottle of chocolate syrup. We essentially gave him cart blanc with chocolate milk. He'd already gone through 2 bottles in a little over a week.
This man has no self discipline whatsoever. If he starts a bag of H ershey kisses, the bag is gone within a day. I know he's afraid to ever check his blood sugar. He was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago, lost a ton of weight and his numbers were once again good. BUT, he's put all that weight back on and then some and just refuses the reality of probably having full blown diabetes. Keep praying something will click sooner than later.
It was so nice taking part in that meeting -got to see a lot of faces from back home and felt like I was right there.

Re: Singular Sunday
hi d dee good luck at your meeting!
so far I vacuumed and surfaced rinsed the front hall, the front room and dining room... it took me a half hour. I don't want to do more but will so I can start the week off right. I feel like this
but trying to change my attitude about cleaning today to this...
vacuum kitchen (also rinsed with flax soap) and family room
. dogs room... oh my goodness - I don't know how in two months time of not wiping the walls can dust webs fill the room - its really dirty in there...
surface vacuumed stairs going into basement
I am trying to decide if I am going to visit d uncle today... i know I have to get ready for this week ... I am not going to be able to visit him until tuesday evening.

Re: Singular Sunday
I have been lollygagging about today. So nice to have NOTHING on my schedule for the day. Tomorrow begins a very busy couple of weeks however. I'm home this week only on Monday and Wednesday (and have PT and other things going those days also.) On Tuesday I am going to see dsis, and on Thursday I am going out of town to meet with dh (who is on the road) and visit friends in FL. Will be back on Sunday, a week from today, when Macs again has PT. Feb 2, Monday is quiet, and on Tuesday I'm called for jury duty! I don't know how much time that will take and how much of that week will be eaten up.
For today, I'm continuing with genealogy source online course, scanning and recording stamp sets and having some downtime.
I got in my 10K steps yesterday, and hope to do so again last night. Ended up on treadmill at 10:30 but I didn't need that many more steps. d
