SEEMINGLY SIMPLE SATURDAY

Waving from Sunday.
Started tai chi this week, and can go to several classes. I went to 2.
After class yesterday I went to the coast. Had a long prowl around stores. No more craft stuff till /i use more of what is here.
I think what I bought passed the need test. Though the pillow cases ... Perhaps I ort have spent another $30 and gotten 2 good sheets thrown in with them.

We saw that movie. I'll be honest with you -- it got kinda tiresome to me, watching him get killed over and over... but I definitely understand the spending time w/dh aspect. I sit on the couch with ballgames on a lot, reading, doing whatever, just so dh feels like he has someone to watch the game with.

Dmom... oh my goodness she drives me insane. And I feel so sorry for her, b/c I know it drives HER insane, too.
She finally called me around 4:00/4:30... she had fallen asleep! She was shocked that she had slept so long, so soundly. We had spoken earlier, a little after noon, and she was determined to get to the drug shop before they closed at 1:00 p.m. * sigh * Well, she missed THAT.
So at 4:00/whatever, she was determined to get to Wmart pharmacy by 6:00, and she would call me when she left there, and we would go to dmil's house.
THANK GOODNESS I did not occupy myself with waiting on her.
In the meantime, * woo hoo for ME *, before they 4:00 pm call, I had spent 60 minutes, using my timer, and cleaned out the two computer room closets. Carried a BUNCH of old computers and printers out to the storage building -- where other stuff that is headed to the dump/etc, is in 'holding.' I'll call Monday and find out if I can carry them to a metal recycling place nearby.
DGS and I went ahead and carried extra boxes from this cleanup effort to dmil's, and straightened up the box pile there, and dgs rode his tricycle some, and dmom STILL had not called and it was after 6:00 p.m. She didn't answer her phone(s) either... so I said to heck with it, dgs and I went to get supper @ McD's, and we were home eating when dmom FINALLY called to report that (1) Wmart didn't have the medicine she needed and (2) she was back home; we would just have to do this stuff at dmil's later sometime.

AAAUGUGUGHGHGHGH!!! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH HER???

Good news -- I asked her about tomorrow, did she still think she wanted to accompany us to the singing?
NOOO... a very definitely NOOO.

I'm sorry for her, I know this stomach issue is driving her nuts (that's what the meds are for -- and it is a rx that will likely cost over $2500 -- for Chron's -- apparently Medicare doesn't cover it. She said several years ago, her co-pay was $1300 for same thing, but one bottle lasted her 3 years, and she says, "As [my granddaddy] used to say, 'Some things ain't never brought what they're worth.")
But... being sorry for her doesn't mean I don't get awfully frustrated and perplexed at times. Good grief.

And, as far as cleaning out the closets is concerned, I did not do the shelves or hanging items. Most of those things are dh's anyway. Also, there are still boxes of baby clothes and baby shoes that I need to go through, and 31-year-old maternity clothes to go through and toss... only intend to keep a very few sentimental items... but having all those big boxes and outdated computer items out makes an amazing difference.
Finished the laundry, too.

Now... pick up LOTS of toys, and give dgs a bath.

Waving to everyone!!! I can't post much b/c every few minutes, dgs comes pulling on my hands, saying, "Nana come to [dgs'] room!"

I got the church magazine read. There was an article on lay worship leaders and how they are like itinerant circuit rider preachers from the 1700 & 1800s. My websiTe is called itinerantpreacher <dot> ca so I was excited to see that someone else made the connection. Wonder if I'll get any hits from that?

I'm printing off the annual report right now. Have finally found the document I needed for the minister's housing allowance income tax form, so that's printed off too. I cleaned up the dinner dishes and I've tidied a little bit. Not so you noticed, but a few more things have been put away. Or piled.

Dh and I practiced the music for tomorrow.

I also took time earlier in the day to learn my part for the March 1 anthem. I'll ask if we can practice it tomorrow after church.

Had a great day, spinning meeting was fun. We had lunch out at our local taco stand. Store run done.
