Just got back from the bank -a trip I really didn't want to make, but it's done.

Now we're home for a few then on to church to drop off a few things, get gas and meet friends for lunch.

Did manage to get the bed made. Barely slept last night and my tummy is in knots. Going for lunch is the last thing I want to do today. Hopefully there'll be soup or something very light. ( Bo b E vans). When we come back I'm hoping to get in a little nap time -doesn't look like much housework here today.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Thinking of Lynlee and all her neighbors and community today.

Purses - I, too, have had sticker shock for ones I would like, and even further sticker shock realizing that though I could make my own and enjoy the project, there would be quite the cost to that, too. Not that I wouldn't already have fabrics, but the time would be a high price. I saw on a pattern of one I admire that they estimate one day's work for an intermediate sewer to complete one bag. That doesn't take the initial learning experience into account. I enjoyed making dd35's Bible carrier, but there would be new techniques to learn for purse making.

Norma will also be interested to see that raptor cam and others, I'm sure.

The complete absence :?: of the storm front and snow we expected yesterday gave the school system folks confidence and they decided on 2-hour delay today, though all evening events are cancelled tonight. I hemmed and hawed. Finally decided that we would try, and gave myself plenty of extra time for slow driving. Some white-knuckle moments that impressed dd by the feel of the car, but greatly helped by daylight and no commuter traffic competing.

Dd abandoned fashion today and went in sweatpants over tights, sweatshirt over sweatshirt. The wind makes it bitter.

Tonight will be our lowest temp and then Sat we get more precipitation: "wintry mix". How do I know there will be no flakes?

I'll be joining in with Desk Day today.

Finished reconciling an investment account. This one took under 90 minutes so that's improvement.

Have placed the next one on my desk.

Am taking a stretching break so am on the treadmill. I must tense up something fierce while doing this because when I stand up at the end, I have trouble walking.

Morning y'all ...

Up early with a headache that I was able to chase away. First in a long time. Then it was morning routines and coffee, coffee, coffee.

Already done two laundry loads, washes and put away. Cleaned out the refig... Washed all shelves and dumped the dead stuff. Dinner will be a roast in my pressure cooker. First time trying it out so we'll see what happens.

Next up to color my hair and then some desk work. Hope to have some me time this afternoon... Off on a geneology trip.

Know the cold is hitting many of y'all. Even my brother is commenting on how cold it is in NJ and he never gets cold. He's been known to shovel his driveway of snow without gloves.

Stay warm and travel safe. Cya'll later

I was surprised by phone call(s) from daunt & uncle...
Met them at dmil's house and gave them the globe & a picture easel they wanted. Plus another small lamp -- so now I feel I am definitely "equal" with them vs other daunt, LOL.
Called antique lady and made arrangements for her to come out next Wed. * Hope she will take lots of stuff! *
DH & DS are over there now, moving some furniture around so antique lady can better see what we're keeping and what we're getting rid of.

Also talked to dmom earlier.
Need to take her some bananas and Imodium.
Her preacher's wife was visiting with her when I called.

Watered plants -- finally
S/S all three toilets.
Wrote check for credit card bill
Next --
[ ] walk away the pounds 15 min
[ ] s2s
[ ] Bible reading
[ ] grocery store
[ ] bank for dmom
[ ] post office
[ ] dmom
Tomorrow is another day.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Sunny here with temps in the 40's.

They are saying we will have another ice storm over the weekend.

Got up 30 minutes earlier and it seemed to make a difference in getting things done.

Got some exercise time in today too.

Work day today, we are having steak and baked potatoes for going accident free for over a year.

Back from LO appt with counselor. We drove thru McD to pick up lunch so LO could eat on the way back to school. The food was so bad that we went through Chik-a-play drive thru for a different lunch to eat. I rarely (every couple of years) eat at McD and this time just confirmed that I'm not missing anything.

DGD3 is being super clingy. Lots of time holding her with her arms clamped around my neck.

On the way to pick up LO from school this morning, the handy-man called about the bathroom addition. I couldn't meet him to discuss it, but did tell him about the water leak. I **thought** I had left an outside door unlocked for him to get into the house. He called while I was in town to tell me the birthday house is locked tight and he couldn't get in to do repairs. DH told me that he came to MPB requesting access to the house. DH told him to not worry about it, that he would fix the leak. Yeah. Right. DH has been working 16 hour days for weeks. WHEN is he going to have time to fix my leak???? OH YEAH....I forgot to not grumble. Now I'm going to grumble at myself for grumbling. :)

I guess our long driveway makes us targets for drive-by drive way sealant people. They keep coming to our front door and asking if they can seal our driveway. Really? I am NOT hiring an unknown drive-by person to do $$$$ of work. I detest answering the door to a strange men. I have also had 2 strangers (men) come to our door asking if they could do odd jobs for me. I'm not used to strangers showing up on my door step.. In our old house no one would come to our door because they had to go through gate where the dogs were. I guess I need some signs to put in the yard/door. No trespassing..... No solicitation..... If I don't know you, the answer is NO. Don't bother asking.

I have one hour before picking up LO from school. DGD3 isn't going to take a nap today. She isn't acting tired so I think she will be fine without one. That means I have time to go load up the SUV at the old house. I can pick LO up from school on the way back.

I just lost my huge big post. We have been having computer problems and I should have known better. I am wanting to throw this right out the front window! :x

I'm starting to hyper focus, wanting to finish all these reconciliations.

Ds woke up early (too many text message bings woke him and stopped him from going back to sleep.)

He's off now to ski patrol. In between I fed him a breakfast and we did his taxes. He gets a killer refund because he earned so little last year (only worked barely half the year and took 4 weeks of that off for trips.)

Found out he's going on a second date on Monday night. Working nights makes dating really hard. Plus he pointed out ethically he can't ask out people he meets at work. Or at least he thinks it would be too weird to be admitted to the hospital and have the admitting clerk slip you his phone number! I hadn't thought of it that way but he's right and he says he's met a number of people he'd like to ask out but hasn't. Ethically, he can't use their contact info to contact them after their hospital visit either so he's out of luck unless he runs into them someplace randomly later.

I've finished 2 more easy accounts, so the total of updated accounts is now 5 out of 11. Given that I started last night, that's great progress.
