Tell about your Tuesday!

Post by Lady Maverick »

Last night DH took LO to karate class so I could take some meds to DGD3. After 16 hours DGD3 was still unable to keep a sip of anything down. DD said she would seek medical help for DGD3 after 36 hours of not being able to keep anything down. ARGH! I wasn't comfortable with waiting that long . I went by DD work and showed her the prescription meds I had on hand from when LO was so sick to stomach. All it takes is a small dot to be rubbed on the wrist to calm the nausea. DD agreed to the meds so I took the meds to the friend DD is living with. DD later txt they did use the meds on DGD3 and she was finally able to drink and eat some crackers without any problem.

While I was in town, I went shopping for DH birthday gift and also got Easter outfits for LO and DGD3.

My stomach is still queasy but not so much that I can't mostly ignore it.

We had the most marvelous slow rain yesterday. It was just the kind of slow rain that our hard packed dirt needed to soak up the moisture instead of it running off. I saw several people stuck because it has been so long since the ground was soft. Good problems to have!!

Good morning LadyM. So glad dgd3 is on the mend and you thought to give those meds to dd. That illness sounds pretty bad. I hope you don't get it.

I've been up for 2 hours and don't have much to show for it. I have had bfast, checked emails and web sites, had QT, worked on some lists. Now, I need to put those lists in my notebook. . .

This is my most low-key day of the week. Tomorrow, I think I have a get together with a friend in the morning (she can be intense so it might be intense), payroll, and then a meeting with my mentee, which is usually intense - or at least draining with almost 2 hours of intense conversation late in the day and right after payroll. Thursday will be moms group all morning, payroll, then hosting the Th. dinner crew in the evening. Friday, I just have WW in the morning, payroll, and then tutoring A immediately afterward. Saturday - NOTHING on the calendar. :)

Next for me:
- s2s and self-care
- fold lol
- finish menu plan and groc. list

Later:
- errands: (1) comm. coll. to see if I can return the volunteer tutoring books I borrowed (2) groc. store
- lunch
- prep for class
- payroll
- go for a jog. It is warmer, for sure, but the sun is not out right now. Still, it will be good to get out and exercise in the fresh air. I haven't jogged for so long I'm not sure I can keep going for 30 minutes. I might try 2 shorter bits of time. I'll just see how it goes.
- dinner: leftover white chicken chili, cornbread, salad
- cards ready for the mail
- garbage and recycling to the curb
- other things on my weekly list?

Thank you for the birthday wishes yesterday!

Happy Birthday Lord Maverick!

Today I need to run multiple errands and buy some groceries. After that I need to work on getting the guest room back in order, plus lots of laundry.

Guess I better get started.

Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread today, LadyMaverick. I'm glad you and your dgd are both feeling better.

Last night I was able to go to work wearing a warm cardigan sweater jacket instead of my heavy winter coat, and didn't need gloves. I put on a fashion scarf instead of a winter one. It felt so good to not be weighed down and restricted by multiple winter layers.

We have dense fog this morning to the point that all schools in the area are having a late start. The weather guy says the fog is due to the melting snow. The sun should come out mid-morning and then we're supposed to have a high in the 50s. :D This is a huge jump in temperature and is most welcome. I'm not sure how long it's supposed to last and I don't care, I'm simply enjoying how good it feels right now.

Today I have a staff meeting at the library at 1:00. It includes a pot luck lunch so I am taking chicken salad sandwiches for the 5 of us.

Other than that, I have kitchen and desk chores calling for attention today.

I hope Kathryn was able to get some sleep last night.

Lilac ~ I like your idea to turn your old stereo cabinet into a quilt display cabinet.

-breakfast/meds/vitamins
-clear kitchen counters
-take out dog poop bin to garbage can at street (dh already took garbage can out)
-start a lol

OMM today:
-dinner out with dh later - around 7 p.m. I think
-routines
-desk day
-stamping time?
-call about taking Moe to the vet to change his dressing - he's getting it wet because I can't always get a bag on the paw before he goes out

BookSaver, after I posted my stereo cabinet idea, dh messed with the stereo and got it working again. He told me that he wasn't going to flip flop on this, because the guy really only wanted the speakers. So I can still use the cabinet. I was relieved to hear that because after an exhaustive search, I was not able to find the glass quilt display case that I have previously seen and wanted.

Chicken salad sandwiches sound delicious. I have been hungry for them.
