About the flooring, supposedly that is the laminate flooring that is from China. We are planning on going with the 3/4" real hardwood floors. But since it will be awhile, we have plenty of time to change our minds.
helia, I am so impressed with your dd16s esty business. She is headed for a great career in fashion design at this rate.
I have had a funny smell in the fridge and freezer. I decided to investigate and took things off of each shelf to find the culprit. It was a small piece of onion in an 8 oz. plastic container with a lid. Which was then put in a plastic bag. The onion had gotten yellow and slimey. Yuck. So I have gotten rid of it and put new boxes of baking soda in the fridge.
Dfriend from HS that I reconnected with Dec. 2013 called today to make sure we made it home. She lives near Kansas City, KS. She just started a new job on Wednesday. She wanted to know if I would have family with me during the surgery and his time in the recovery room. If I didn't she said she would take off to be with me. I told her I would have at least 4, if not more. So she said she will just visit the next evening after the surgery. It feels so wonderful to have her in my life again. Today we talked 2 hours.
Dh went to meet a man an hour from here who is buying dh's racing chair. He was suppose to meet him on Wed. but that had to be postponed. We wish someone would buy his highway motorcycle.
I am fixing spaghetti, meat sauce, salad and garlic bread tonight. That was the plan for Tuesday night because I wanted leftovers. Since we weren't going to be home to eat them, I fixed something else.
Dh should be home soon, so guess I better get started on the meat sauce.

Re: Things to Remember Saturday
Back from the jog and then a stop by B and N for books to help us figure out vacation plans this summer. I'm SO tired now. . . .
Dd19 is here, and it is nice to see her.
Harmony, that is a good question. The feed comes in 50 lb. bags. I bought 2. I was able to get them into my cart by using my leg muscles to lift them (I lowered myself to get the bags by bending my knees). I know from experience they are difficult for me to lift out of the cart and into my car, so I got help from a nice young employee. Dh carried them from my van to the garage once I got home. I need to be a little mindful of my back as I have had back issues before. So has dh. . . .
I forgot to say that dh only wears chino type pants. I'm not even sure he owns a pair of jeans. He does not own sweat pants, but he does own running pants, black and tighter fitting. Of course, he has PJ pants too. . . . He wears his clothes fairly baggy. Even his running clothes he wears more loosely than is the fashion. My definition of dh looking neat: he is wearing clean pants and a clean sweater/unwrinkled top. That's about the level we operate on.

We're coming up on 9:26 o'clock in EST.
This has been a very nice Pi Day on 3.1415 (Pi to the next few digits, and sort of the date). At 9:26 it will be 3.1415926, so that is a nice Pi moment. I like Cherry, myself, and have one in the fridge for ds's 30th bday, which was yesterday. Kathryn's dd will have a bday soon.

Re: Things to Remember Saturday
A little bit ago the phone rang. Caller ID said "Private Caller". That is usually a telemarketer but I answered in a pleasant (thankfully) voice. The caller said " this is Dr. KC, is dh around?" I said yes, I would get him. He was out in the garage with the door locked since it was dark, so I had to knock. I handed him the phone and told him who it was. I came in the house, knowing it was really good news or really bad news. It is BENIGN!!!!!!! It is a Wharton's tumor and usually older men get them. It will still need to come off. He said either late April or early May. An answered prayer! Dh hasn't quit smiling and says he feels better already. So I have been making calls and sending texts to family and friends.
What a wonderful dr. to take the time on a Saturday night to give us this wonderful news. We were told it would be a week, so he could have waited until Monday. We would have never known the difference. He said the chest xray and bloodwork were fine. The biopsy and MRI gave him what he needed to know to make a definitive diagnosis.

Re: Things to Remember Saturday
Great news, Lilac's dh! WooHoo
I am sitting up past my bedtime on a Sat night because I forgot a load of jeans long enough in the washer that I'm worried about wrinkling. So I'm putting them through another rinse with fabric softener.
Otherwise all Evening Daily Card done well and I'll just wait until after this rinse to start the dishwasher.
I've S2Sed already and air-dried my hair enough to put it up for the night and hope to look reasonably curled tomorrow a.m.
I have my music folder ready with 3 of the 4 songs chosen and will have to yield to the minister's ability to have found the fourth, which I don't have, and in fact don't know. Also I printed the bulletin and have it tucked in the folder.
Chickens got to run out in the yard a while this afternoon and search for protein and green growth. Either Reba or Robin, who look so much alike, gave me a run for my money before she would finally go back in the pen. I felt like a bad guy - I know the chance to be out in the grass is so wonderful, but safety first.
HRH made a (very) thin-crust spinach pizza for his supper and I couldn't resist and ate 2 pieces. I feel bad about that, but I won't beat myself up about it. Well... ... I will if I have heartburn, but other than that, into each life some white flour may fall.
I see Lynlee's light is on, too. Hope you feel well, Lynlee and no more discomfort.

Re: Things to Remember Saturday
Waving back to Harriet.
I've had some days off. There is still redness as a reaction to the dressing film. Still trying to keep the other tape over incision there for a bit longer. Meanwhile I am reacting like crazy to my bra stitching. Even worn inside out. I think I'll take it off.
Waving to Kathryn. After some days of no tv I heard the cyclone warning for Perth was cancelled, so I'm glad you were able to leave on time, and the seas were calm. I hope you enjoy this cruise, and there are enough joys to cancel any disappointments.
I though we had moved into autumn, but its 34c here today.
I started to write of an annoyance, but have deleted. I am powerless over people places and things. They do and say whatever.
Finished 2nd book in a series. Wish I had more that follow. I want to lose myself in a book.
