Re: Finally Friday Conga
Dcleaning lady is here to work her magic - I need to finish up my straightening up ahead of her, particularly the master BR. DD will be heading back to K-town today, we will attend services tonight and dh has arranged for someone to install additional outdoor permanent lighting today. In between, I need to get my plan together for the next two days.
To-do - in general terms before tomorrow night
-make veggie lasagne
-thaw meat lasagne from freezer
-make challah
-continue with house clean up/set up for party
-glue the weight on the floor lamp - still need to do!!!
-last minute trip to grocery, still need cutlery, disposable plates, etc., other stuff I am sure....
Holding at 29 people here, including us and the interview candidate and her dh so I think the numbers are good.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Good Morning Twins' and RunKitty! Dh and I are just back from taking dgd13 to school. We need to eat breakfast, then dh will go see the nurse for his INR check.
Dfam#1 was here yesterday afternoon/evening. The dgkids are on spring break this week. We watched a Tinkerbell movie they brought with them, then after supper we played a game they brought.
I did most of my weekly Conga yesterday, but there's still things to do....
empty dish drainer of clean dishes
put electric griddle away
mop bathroom floor (again!)
water plants - inside and front porch
brush dogs - they're both shedding like crazy
Hi Nancy!
See you all later, have a good day Everyone!

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Good morning! Ah, yes - Finally Friday.
I don't have much time to conga at home today.
Done:
- some of a.m. routine (animal care, kitchen back to mm, s2s and self-care)
- found necessary supplies for payroll: game for class today + recording device to use with tutee A
- WW - up 0.7 lbs. I think last weeks 1.7 lb loss was inflated, so I was expecting an adjustment this week. Would have preferred to see a loss, though.
next:
- QT
- lunch
- update laundry
- make bed (to finish a.m.routine)
Later:
- leave for work at 12:00; awards ceremony for the students at 12:45.
- class? It will likely start late due to the awards ceremony and accompanying pizza party. Ss need to register for their next session today
- if time, end of the session details taken care of : submit lesson plans, return materials, turn in hard copy of attendance records, etc.
- drive across town to meet tutee A
- tutor A 4:15 - 5:45-ish
- home after 6 pm, likely; veg for a bit.
- out to eat with dh and acquaintances (British couple; they are here for 2 years as he is working with dh on a joint project. She visited the church moms group with me last fall. . . ) - aiming for a late dinner, 8 pm. This won't be great on my WW efforts.
Tomorrow, I need to be out the door before 7 a.m. to take dd16 to the state solo/ensemble festival in a neighboring village. She is taking all 3 of her performances: 1 trio (bassoon, flute, and oboe), 1 duet (2 oboes - other is the first chair and is exceedingly talented), and her solo. Of course, they are pretty much back to back, and her solo is last, so she is concerned about the state of her embouchure (embrasure?) -- muscles around her mouth that let her play and fine tune/adjust her oboe well -- by the time her solo comes around.
Off to start a load of towels and get in some QT.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Happy Spring, everyone!
Relaxing here with a mug of hot cocoa after doing some chores. Just finished cleaning the kitchen floor & am enjoying a break here as I wait for the floor to dry. No flowers or green grass yet here; in fact, it's snowing.
Hi Twins! I'll jump back in the conga line after my break.
Hi, RunKitty! I don't think we've "met" yet. Welcome to the boards
.
Hi Nancy! Glad you're feeling better. Was it your birthday? If so a belated Happy Birthday to you
Hi Sunny! Hope all goes well for your dh at his appt.
Hi Helia! Best wishes to your dd for her performances tomorrow.
In cuop for the last few days, I was sad to read that FelineFriend will no longer be here, but I understand the time constraints that lead us to make choices in how much time we spend online. As others mentioned, I've been missing MT, too, & hope all is well with her & her dh. Fortunately she visits & posts here from time to time; hopefully FelineFriend will visit, too.
Did a lot of running around this week & am glad to be home today. I'm tickled that I was able to eliminate the grocery store from my errand list yesterday because the few things I needed were available in T arget, which was also on my list. That has come in handy more than once.
OK, mug is empty & To Do list is calling me. Adjusting my tall fruit hat & jumping back into the conga line
. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Re: Finally Friday Conga
Hi everyone!
Pretty quiet day around here. Beautiful blue sky overhead. It wasn't so very hot this morning early so we had the fan in the window and opposite windows open. It's always easier on me when I can get the house a little cooler.
Watered all the new plants out front. Yesterday I noticed the beans are starting to sprout and the broccoli is beginning to come up. Now if only the cauliflower would begin to grow heads...
Puttering around here. Tidied desk first off. Had forgotten to bring the mail in yesterday and found a bunch of paperwork in there to do. Major cleanup in kitchen done. Still soaking a couple pans.
Went to bank. It is only 2 miles away. I will just have to put up with the traffic. In the end it will all be better. Right now there is a spot that goes down from 3 to 2 lanes and I always watch very closely because people have a tendency to come over on you getting out of the ending lane. That will be gone when this is all done. And we will have sidewalks and bike lanes. I could bike to the bank - or walk if I was very ambitious.
DH came back for a truckload of lumber. I helped him load some of it and wrote a paycheck for helper who is leaving early today.
It's a slow conga around here, but that's ok, it's been a pretty busy week.

Re: Finally Friday Conga
I need to get going again. I got everything straightened up for dcleaning lady and stripped bed and started sheets. She just finished up while I walked ddogs in a very light rain.
I think the best use of this afternoon is to make veggie lasagne. It's fairly labor intensive.
Should make a quick run to grocery first....
Oooooh, I didn't get this posted earlier.
Now - approx 2 p.m. my time
Home from grocery, talked to dd awhile and she has headed back to school. Butternut squash is roasting in oven for veggie lasagne, need to get eggplant going also. This recipe is somewhat labor intensive - butternut squash or pumpkin is roasted, tomatoes are roasted, and eggplant grilled or browned in skillet
