Spring Saturday

Post by Twins' Mom »

First full day of spring is here - spring came in quietly here with rain and mist but today is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy. I have spring cleaning chores here related to having people here tonight.

What will you make of your first full day of springtime!

And....I need to be busy and stay busy today! I've got lots to do, will work from hand written list instead of computer list so I can note things quickly and mark off quickly w/o sitting down at the computer and wandering off.

Need to make a quick run to the vet for dog meds I forgot yesterday, and then work toward getting Macs ready for PT at 11. Dh has gone to Torah study and will be home later, I have a "Honey do" list going also.

First round:
-get dressed, brush teeth, etc. (will do full s2s later)
-quick trip to vet for meds
-breakfast
-get car ready for dMacs to go to PT
-empty the dishwasher

Spring has been here for weeks. (The local ground hogs were correct. ) Yesterday, though, I smelled the alders beginning to bud. That is the smell of Spring for me. :) Getting ready for work. Have a wonderful Spring Saturday.

55* - 61* wet weather headed our way according to our radar on the weather channel.
I am thinking I want to avoid crowds today.
I hope I can clear off the table and put on the spring colored table cloth the kitchen needs attn. and laundry needs done.
I have another hat going for toddlerN.

Making progress!

Window washers are supposed to be here, and have not arrived. Will call when I leave with Macs for PT to ascertain status.

-print "clean copy" of those invited and attending
-take out paper recycling to garage (from pantry and also from under my desk)
-make the bed
-fix baggie of treats for dMacs for PT
-finish straightening/updating bookcase by kitchen

Runkitty, we've had some spring days, but after a period of constant ice and snow predictions in Feb, I think I'm doubly grateful for spring this year.

Need to leave with dMacs in about 10 minutes. Window washers are on the way. Will piddle around for just a few on what else I can get done quickly...

Good morning! We didn't get back from dinner out with friends last night until about 11 pm. I didn't get to bed until close to midnight and my alarm rang at 6:00 a.m. I don't feel tired, though. Maybe it will hit me later.

Well, I've just gotten back from the state solo/ensemble festival with dd16. I didn't do much before that other than s2s, self care, print out a map, and gather things in case I had time to work. Dd16 ended up doing well; her solo was not the best. Her mouth was tired as she had feared, and she goofed up a couple scales. But she was awarded a "1" (highest score) anyway. She did do well with the sight reading portion. The judge was a very kind man.

PODA:
- groc. store
- go for a jog
- finish a.m. routine
- laundry
- other things on my weekly list?
- run breadmaker?
- small group 5 - 9-ish

Next:
- QT
- update laundry
- early lunch

Probably have a disappointed boy today -- ds would have liked for us to watch dgs today while he & ddil shampooed carpet. I am just beat, and so is dh. Just had to ask him why he couldn't take dgs with him -- there are two of them and only one shampooer. * sheesh *

Welcome, runkitty!

I always need my handwritten list, too, Twins. I like to put it on here, so I can let y'all know I'm not being a slug 24/7/365... but I can't operate solely from the computer.

I think I'm going to take more allergy meds and veg out for the first time since last Saturday.
* sheesh * Last Saturday, I had to run errands for dmom... and I haven't talked to her since Wed... but for goodness sake, her phone makes outgoing calls, too.
Tomorrow is another day.

Home with dMacs and he will be able to take a good afternoon nap today! Windows (outside only) were cleaned while I was out and the guy is gone, took less than two hours.

-shape challah to rise and start another loaf in breadmaker
-consolidate written lists
-dining room set up
-check for mail
-do 10 minutes of clean up on my desk to get it presentable

Edited....since I'm the only one here right now, I'm just going to edit and add the next round. 10 minutes made a world of difference in the desk! Dh called and is on his way home also.

-set up table on porch
-clear kitchen table
-sweep front porch
-get up dog poop in yard
-get rid of poop in container on front porch
