We can all join in smiling with Cathy today!

But is is always a good day to remember to smile. Sometimes smiles come easily but even when they don't, they have the power to improve your own mood, since your smile reflects back to you through others.

Harmony:
Had to laugh at your efforts to find me. Yes, for a long time I was in the middle of nowhere. The ship was traveling at 20 - 30 knots (that's fast for a ship) for the first 6 days because it is such a long crossing to land. Both Mauritius and Reunion have always been strategic stopping points for maritime travel, as sources of fresh water and food. Neither were inhabited by humans until seamen arrived. And many/most of the animals were destroyed as a result because they were too stupid/unprepared/tasty. They had no evolved defenses from predators because there were none on the islands originally.

Today is another glorious day at sea. We are going really slowly because the distance between Reunion and Madagascar is only 400 nautical miles. So now we are going 11 knots. Looking out the window, it looks like we are dead in the water.

I made it to church this morning but just because God had me check the daily schedule at 9 (church is at 9.) Tonight is formal night so I'll have a busy day. Already a load of laundry is done. Still to do:

1. Write the two travelogues, one for each of the ports we did last week. I'll post the words (sorry about no pictures yet but the internet is dodgy) when I get them written.
2. Photography lecture at 11 (Currently there, not fully paying attention!)
3. Trivia at 12
4. Swim to exercise knee
5. Remove pedicure, stretches and ice knee
6. Shower
7. Pedicure/manicure (possibly only the former due to the next item.) Maybe ice knee during drying time.
8. Tea time (with focus on Mozart's music.)
9. Dress for dinner (and manicure.) Since it is the night for sari, I'll need lots of time to dress because I haven't tied it on me in the past 2 years but have downloaded the instructions.)
10. Dinner at 6
11. Possibly the show although it doesn't interest us.

Tomorrow's tour is strenuous so I'm worried about my knee. Specifically getting into and out of dug out canoes. It is a 'wet landing' on an island. I can skip the hike on the island although I don't want to. But it is up a hill and I don't have poles to steady myself. I'll bring zip lock bags and ice my knee if I need to while there.

Have a great day. :)

Quiet morning today. Dh has gone to take the candidate for the temple position to the Sunday a.m. religious school, and will probably be back late this afternoon after meetings.

The big dinner last night went very, very well - dh and I ended the evening with a glass of wine outside by our firepit. Some clean up and putting things away to do still. I am feeling exhausted today - my back and legs hurt!

Breakfast was leftovers: spinach squares and cherry pie! I think I am going to get my iPad and just read for awhile - I've already read the paper but am not ready to actually do anything productive.

Smiling here: quiet day, big event successfully completed, maybe some stamping time later, leaving on Friday to go to FL to see some friends and take in a couple of spring training games. Have always wanted to go to spring training game and until the past two years, have never been able to do so.

Morning y'all..

Lazy Sunday morning here... That always makes me smile.
In just a little while Sweetie and I will be going over to Norma and Mr Guy's house to help them move into their new one. Excited for them... Unfortunately they will be leaving soon and heading back home. I hate when that happens. Good news is now that they have a new home, they will be spending two extra months here.

I have an unusually busy week coming up.. Monday night if my fitness group. Tue and Thur morning I start working out with a different group trainer. Wed sweetie and I are joining Norma, mr guy and friends to see a spring traing baseball game like we did last year. I'm really looking forwards to that. Thur night I have dinner plans with a former student... She's all grown up.. And her mom. Fri night sweetie and I have a surprise retirement party to attend. Then Sat morning I have my fitness group work out and later that evening a dinner date and concert with Sweetie. Boy that makes me tired just writing it.

It's a slick my hair back kind of a day. I also need to spend some time at my desk so I guess I'll head over that way.

Harmony... I am a geography nerd so I did know where Kathryn was ;)

Twins so glad your evening was a success... I love the quiet time after an evening feld with lots of laughter and fun. Bet you make a great hostess with the mostest.

Welcome Runkitty always njce when new people join our village.

Waving to everyone.... My sunflower seeds are already two inches high and I just planted them six days ago. Cy'all later... Enjoy your day

WTG, RunKitty working on the tax return! Haven't started ours yet.

I read for awhile and then napped with Moses. He needed some attention.

Dh is home and will pick the job candidate and her hubby at 5:15 and go for a quick dinner and then take them to airport. I think I'm going to go with him but I might beg off, I still don't know.

Going to finally get moving....
-wash face and brush teeth (I just got out of pajamas, btw)
-get DR back to normal
-clear breakfast bar counter
-straighten great room
-take out kitchen garbage
